Dear Friend,
Ever have a really really bad dream? A dream that felt so real it scared the living crap out of you? Well, let me tell you about mine...
"And how did that make you feel?"
I looked at this so called "Therapist" like she was stupid.
"How do you think it made me feel?!" I gaped.
"Answer the question Mrs. Steele." She said.
"Scared as hell of course! I mean, my husband Andrew, My brothers Lucas and Stefan, sister in law Margaret, and my sister Sophia never came back!" I told her.
"Never came back from where?" She asked.
"This free vacation we were offered! I was the only one who made it back! Here I was, a widow, and left alone to raise my nephew, niece, and two daughters by myself!" I said.
"But, it was just a dream right? Everything worked out fine?" She asked.
"Yeah, of course. They are all home safe and sound." I said.
"You said Grace is acting out?"
"Yeah, she's a teenager, they do that." I said.
...
"I HATE YOU!" Grace screamed.
"Go a head and hate me, it's not my job to get you to like me! It's my job to protect you and staying out after curfew every night is making it hard to do!" He snapped.
"It's not your job to protect me!" She yelled at him.
"Oh, and why is that Grace?!" Andrew screamed.
"Because! YOU'RE NOT MY FATHER!" She screamed at him.
...
"But they made up?" She asked.
"Yes, she apologized and everything returned back to normal." I said.
"And you made two major life changes?"
"I wouldn't say major..."
...
"Congratulations, you are now the owner of Sparkling Sands!" The lady said shaking my hand.
I smiled, but I had butterflies in my stomach.
I loved relaxing in the pool.
And reading on the beach next door reading a book on a towel was even more relaxing.
Oh yeah, I could definitely get used to owning my resort.
...
"You just recently bought your second resort, right?" She asked.
"Yeah, and I'm starting to think that was a mistake." I said.
"Why is that?" She asked.
"The first one was so easy you know? Everyone loves staying at it. The second one, the staff never stays in one place, and the place is always dirty because they won't stay in their spots. Not to mention all of the broken sinks we have to repair." I told her.
We finished up the session, and I headed outside.
"Hey." Andrew said holding out his hand.
"Hi." I smiled taking his hand.
We headed to the car.
You're probably wondering why I was in therapy, huh?
Well, let's just say after my nightmare I became really clingy to Andrew, and he suggested I get help.
Today was my last session, and things were looking up.
Until next time!
Love always,
Sarah
I know it's short, but I wanted to get something out! Let me know what you think!
