Dear Friend,
Finals were over and it was time to wait for our report cards to see if we would graduate.
They came in the next day...
... We both passed and we both were graduating!
I couldn't wait to call home and invite mom and dad.
"Honey, that's great! Of course I will come!" Dad said.
"And mom?" I asked.
He sighed, "She's not feeling well Grace, I don't think she's up to a trip."
"Oh." I said.
"I'm sorry." He said.
I said my goodbyes as Tedd walked over to me.
"Everything okay?" He asked.
"No." I said tears coming to my eyes.
I didn't have to say anything for him to know what dad had said on the phone.
"She's going to be fine." He whispered to me.
Graduation came and I was excited to get my diploma! So was Tedd!
"I'm proud of you!" Dad said.
"Thanks dad." I said smiling.
"Your mother wanted to be here, she really did." He told me.
"I know." I said nodding.
Tedd met my father that night, but it wasn't like the whole 'I'll shoot you if you hurt her' scenario I was afraid of. After all, he was in the military for the longest time so I thought for sure he would get that speech. Dad actually liked him! I was the happiest girl in the world.
That happiness, however, didn't last long...
When we got home (Tedd moved in right away) we realized the situation with mom was getting worse. She was weak, so weak she could barely get out of bed. Dad was looking for a cheap wheel chair to get her, money was kind of tight.
I watched from the doorway as dad walked her back to the bed.
Mom smiled up at him as she took a nap. I walked downstairs before dad saw me, and my tears.
I covered my mouth and let out a sob, I wasn't ready for this. This isn't suppose to happen!
"Grace!" Tedd screamed running over to me.
"She's dying!" I sobbed.
"She isn't dying! She can get better! I've seen it happen before!" Tedd reassured me.
I just shook my head and cried more.
"Come here." He said pulling me in his arms.
Lucy was taking the news just as hard, she stayed in her room most of the time.
Something weird happened tonight, we got a visit from grandpa.
That scared me, but the weird green stuff floating passed mom scared me more. What was that?
I just hoped that Tedd was right, that maybe mom would get better. I guess we will just have to wait and see...
Love always,
Grace
What's your thoughts? Will Sarah get better? Or is the inevitable coming sooner rather than later?
Brooke's birthday will be in the next update! Let me know what you think!
