Dear Friend,

I'm nervous.

Like extremely nervous.

Do you want to know why I am nervous? Well it all started three days ago.

"UGH!" Jeremy growled getting up.

"What?" I said looking up from my book.

"It's this stupid take home test for my science class!" He said tugging at his hair.

I got off the bed and walked over to the desk, I looked at the test before putting it back down.

"Sit down." I said.

"Why bother?! I'm not going to pass! And if I don't pass this test I don't graduate. You might as well dump me because I'm a loser who can't pass a simple test!" He grumbled.

"I'm not going to dump you because you are having a hard time." I told him.

"You're so much smarter than me, why would you stay?" He asked taking his hat off.

"Because I love you, now would you sit down and let me help you?" I smiled.

He sighed and sat down.

"Now, all you have to do..."

It was a rough day and night, we stayed up with the help of coffee and energy drinks studying.

Today we got the final exam grades. That is why I am nervous. Not to sound cocky but I knew I would pass, but it was Jeremy I was worried about.

"Together?" Jeremy said.

"Together." I said.

I heard him gasp.

We both passed!

There was a note on the exams saying we will know within the next day or two if we have enough credits to graduate. I prayed that we both earned our degrees. So we started packing up and saying goodbyes to our roommates, and I worked on cleaning up so we didn't leave a mess for the next group.

We got our letters saying that we were going to be graduating tomorrow. We started calling and inviting people, but soon realized the only real friend we had was Tiffany. For some reason she seemed distracted and said she might have to work, I told her what time it was being held at and hoped for the best.

I was so nervous before the ceremony! I almost wanted to tell them just to mail me my diploma, but Jeremy wouldn't let me.

Jeremy graduated with his Physical Education degree.

I graduated with my Communications degree.

We were both extremely happy to finally have our degrees!

Next came the talking to our fellow graduates and friends.

I was trying to ignore the fact that the one person who was actually my friend, wasn't here...

The girl walked away and Jeremy stepped in front of me, he could tell something was bothering me.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Tiffany didn't show.." I whispered.

He sighed and pulled me into his arms.

"Something must have came up, but the important thing is that we are done. We graduated and have each other to celebrate with." He whispered.

"I know..." I said.

"I know it hurts not having your best friend show, but we have each other. We can finally go home and take a break from this place." He said.

"Take a break?" I asked.

"Yeah, because the next time we will be here is when our children graduate college." He smiled.

I couldn't help but smile at that, "Sounds good."

"Now come on." He said reaching for my hand.

"Let's go start our lives." He said.

College has been the best experience I have had, but now I had a future to think about. A future that sounded like it included marrying Jeremy and having children because of his hint about our children graduating.

Well, I'll write soon.

Love always,

Sam

They graduated! ;D What did you guys think?! Let me know! :)

Beautifully written.  I hope Tiffany is okay.  Maybe she didn't come because she didn't graduate .  Are we going to follow Jeremy and Sam making a new life for themselves of Tiffany?  So many delightful possibilities.  I'll be reading!

This is going to be a short update, like really short. But I hope to have a longer one later today!

Dear Friend,

Living at home again felt good. I didn't have to get used to living with Jeremy that much since we were in the same dorm. A few days after we got settled into the house I got a phone call from Tiffany! She wanted to come visit and see the new house.

She said she was in town for a few days and wanted to know if it would be okay if she stayed here instead of getting a hotel. Of course I said that would be fine! I sadly had to go to work though, life doesn't stop because your best friend is in town!

I was in for a surprise when I got home. I walked through the door and was immediately attacked by a barking dog. A dog!

"Jeremy!" I yelled.

He walked in from the bedroom looking like a child who just got caught with his hands in the cookie jar, Tiffany laughed.

"What is this?!" I asked motioning to the dog wagging its tail at my feet.

"That's Elena." He said.

"What is it doing in the house?" I asked.

"I adopted her!" He said.

"Well, take her back!" I said.

"Please Sam? She was cold and looked like she has been abused! She will die in the cold!" Jeremy said.

I sighed.

"You are lucky I love you." I mumbled.

"Yes!" He said.

"Just give her a bath! She stinks!" I said.

While he did that Tiffany and I decided to eat some dinner. We talked about life at the university, and we also talked about why she didn't come to graduation.

"My boss wouldn't let me leave! I wanted to be there, I really did!" She said.

"It's fine, I'm just glad you came to visit!" I said.

"I have to leave soon though." She said getting sad.

"So you will just have to come back soon!" I said.

"Yeah, and maybe the next time will be for you and Jeremy's wedding!" She said smiling.

I smiled back, "Yeah, maybe."

"Has he asked yet?" She asked me.

"No, but I kind of hope he does. I love him, I want to spend every second of my life with him. I just don't know if he feels the same way." I told her.

"Of course he does! He wouldn't have moved in if he didn't love you! He loves you Sam, trust me. He will ask, you just have to be patient." She told me.

She left that night, and it was back to work for me. I interviewed this one lady, she was dressed weird. She just randomly decided to show up, it was weird.

After writing my positive article on her I decided to watch TV, but apparently the TV wasn't having that.

Well, I have to go write some more. I will write again soon!

Here are some pictures of the house!

Love always,

Sam

Like I said, it's short and not all exciting! What do you think will happen next?? Let me know what you think! :)

And 1170 views! Thank you! ;D

Dear Friend,

He did it.

What and who did what you ask?

Well let me tell you the story!

I was at home while Jeremy finished up his shift at work, there was laundry to be done and toys to be picked up. Elena kept me company throughout this whole process, she kept following me from one room to another. That's when I got a text message from Jeremy.

Meet me at Mickey's Karaoke Cafe in an hour XOXO

I smiled and typed back a response.

I quickly finished cleaning and ran into the bathroom to get ready.

"You think he's going to ask me tonight Elena?!" I asked almost bouncing up and down with anticipation.

She just barked.

I grabbed my coat and climbed into my crappy car, I couldn't wait to be able to afford a new one!

I walked into the karaoke cafe and looked around for Jeremy, I spotted him at the bar. After having a glass of juice we danced for a while to someone singing.

After the girl was finally done singing (she wouldn't stop!) we decided to try it out!

Jeremy was a much better singer than I was, but it was a lot of fun!

It was closing time and we were kicked out, so we decided to stop at home and pick up Elena and take her for a walk to the dog park. I was expecting a lot more to do at the park but there really wasn't. She ended up swimming the entire time.

"How about we head home for hot chocolate?" He asked.

"Okay." I said.

We put the leash back on Elena and headed home, I was glad too because it was starting to get cold outside!

I walked through the door and Elena took off for the toys. I smiled as Jeremy helped me take off my coat. I turned around and gasped at the sight in front of me.

"Jeremy! How did you do this?!" I gasped.

In the area where the love seat and bookshelf used to be was candles, flowers, and a picnic basket!

"Sorry, but I cannot tell you that." He smiled.

"Well than what is with the picnic basket?" I asked.

"I figure since we haven't ate yet, and it's much too cold to eat outside. We could bring the picnic inside!" He said.

We sat down and grabbed a plate.

"Sorry it's only hot dogs, it's all I really know how to make without burning." He laughed.

"It's perfect." I told him.

We finished eating and talked for a while, by the time we stopped talking it was nine in the morning already! We talked about a lot of things, but mostly it was about having children someday.

"It's almost ten in the morning already!" I said checking the clock.

"Wow. We should probably clean up." He said.

We stood up and cleaned up the picnic. I started to walk away to go put the picnic basket away but Jeremy grabbed my arm.

"Wait." He said.

My heart leapt.

"What?" I asked.

He took the basket and put it on the floor.

"You know I love you, right?" He asked taking my hands.

"Yes." I said.

"And you would do anything for me?" He asked.

He was starting to scare me now with that question.

"Of course Jeremy, what is this about?" I asked.

He began to dig in his jean pocket for something.

"Jeremy?" I questioned.

I gasped as he pulled out the most gorgeous ring I have ever seen!

"Sam, I loved you from the second I saw you sitting in the dining room of the dorm at school. I remember going to sleep that night and thinking 'I will marry her someday' and then you asked me on a date. I was so happy Sam, and I am so happy to be living here with the most beautiful girl in the universe. So, will you do something for me Sam?" He asked.

"Yeah." I chocked out through a sob.

"Will you marry me?" He asked taking out the ring and holding it up.

I nodded as he slipped the ring on my finger.

We were engaged!

I couldn't wait to blog about it!

We both agreed that we wanted to wait until the summer to get married because we did not want to have a wedding in the freezing cold weather and snow! It was a good thing summer was only four days away!

He finally proposed, I just thought you would want to know.

Love always,

Sam

Yay! Next update will be the wedding! What did you guys think?! :)

Awesome update.  I love it how the minute after she accepts the ring, she's just got to get onto the social media.  In my day, we had to put engagement announcements in the newspaper or the church newsletter.  Anyway, love your story.
