Need help with store items and exchange

Hi all,

I haven't been playing the Sims 3 for that long but I tried to download a couple of items from the exchange and I also purchased a few items of clothing with my simpoints from the store but no matter what I do I can't find my stuff.  I've looked in my regular inventory, family inventory and I thought it might have been put in my dresser for when I go and plan a new outfit.  I can't seem to locate any of it.  One was a hairstyle from the exchange and the others were clothes from the store.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks so much!

Did you download and install them into the game?   When you download from the website, it will download into the downloads folder of your Sims 3 folder.   Then you need to open the launcher and install them into your game.   Clothes and hairstyles will become available in Create-A-Sim while furniture and decorations will become available in buy mode.  Your sim will still need to purchase these items but they are available at anytime.

Yes, I just opened the launcher and it says all of the items are installed because the "uninstall" option is coming up.  I just don't know why I don't see it in my create a sim or when i go try to plan a new outfit.

Try using the "filter content" button (it looks like a * ) to show only your Store Content. If it's not there, go to "Buy" mode - there will be a "Downloads Dashboard" button, and try that to make sure all the content was installed properly.

It might help to uninstall and reinstall your items. You shouldn't have to download it again.
