Cap on Nectar Aging?

So, I've had a batch of Nectar that's been sitting in a rack for quite awhile, about twelve Sim weeks. It wasn't a very good bottle of Nectar to begin with, and is therefore gaining slowly (186 simoleons last Sim-week, and 193 this week), but as it's been at "perfect" level since its tenth week, I began to wonder, is there a point where Nectar ceases to increase in value? Is there a "cap" on its price, depending on its base quality and value?

An interesting question.

I haven't noticed the aging process ending.  I do a lot of nectar making.  After a while. the nectar you make is of such high quality that, for me, it seems pointless to horde the low value stuff and I use it up, Sims love drinking nectar, at parties, or just as a daily tonic.  I often use transfiguration to get a really high value storage rack full, but, I have noticed that these do not have the same percentage  rate of improvement that can be achieved with home made perfect nectar.  I colour code my nectar racks.  Gold for the rediculously high value transfiguration bottles.  Red for my best recipe perfect bottles and green for the almost as good nectar I make with lifefruit, flame fruit and pomegranate which I get my sims to drink on a daily basis because it gives them a great boost and extends their life one day for each glass drank.  The rest gets used at parties, or sold on consignment.

Thanks.  The low-quality nectar I still had was one of my first bottles made. I wanted to see if and when it would make it to "perfect" quality. Now all my nectars are perfect quality, if there was a cap on the price, I was going to wait until that point to sell, but if there's not, I'll just sell when I need things to sell in consignment, much the same way I do with other things... I dunno. I like making the nectar. Guess it may be a good idea to dry drinking the nectar, too! LOL

This gives me an idea, though.... I wonder if I could let a bottle sit for generations and just let it increase in value and sell it after say, three. What an exciting thought!

I'm considering this too, but the fact I play on epic lifespan settings means that one generation lasts quite long for me. Anyway, nectat worth around 375 aged almost to 3000 so far (my guess is its close to 100 sim days now, but the tooltip bugged and still shows age of 1 week). I also recommend seling high-quality fruits at consignment shop first to get some reputation and have better chances of fast sales on the nectar for more money.

I'm on epic lifespan, too. Too many skills, too little time otherwise, and I'm definitely making the house I'm moving my sims into an ancestral home.  As for the week your nectar says it's on, I read here http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/forum/index.php?topic=2948.0 that the week the nectar says on the bottle is the week it was made, not how long it's been in the rack. Just have to pay attention and watch the price increase, I suppose.

The wording in my translation is not the best so I probably misunderstood it.

On topic: Checked now, nectar is from week 8, original price around 377$. Now, week 25, the bottle is worth almost 5000$. Guess I'll have no problems with satisfying wishes like "drink nectar worth at least 1500$" as even the worst I stored (180$ at creation) are now over 2000$. Guess generation 4 sim will be able to celebrate graduation with style as until that the best bottle will be over 10000$.
