I've got a new roommate issue.  My Sim had a roommate for a long time and even had a child with him.  They finally married and he joined the household as normal.  Now the thing is that a new roommate keeps showing up.  I've dismissed all of them and they leave, but another one comes keeps coming as a replacement.  Any idea how I can stop them from showing up?

Pam, make a copy of your house. Move to another town house, buldoze your old one. After that put back your old house, and you are ready to move back 'home'. Don't know if it works getting rid of roomate but it worths trying out .  :)

Pam, have you tried using the phone to disable roommate services?

I tried using the phone and there was no roommate service for me to disable.  I haven't tried the other suggestion yet.

If you're living on a normal residential lot, it would be under the Real estate selections.

Unless it was changed in the patch a simple move within the neighbourhood should dismiss any roommates in the household.  By simple move I mean the old kind where the house is purchased through the move screen and the old house gets sold off at the same time.  Doing that always used to work for my households, but I haven't tried it since the IP patch came out.

I can sympathize, Pam.  Drove me nuts with one of my couples a while back.  Suddenly, 6 people just moved in!  I was like, wth?  LOL  Did some research to get rid of them.

I have found it useful for a single sim though, if they have a 2 bedroom house, to get a roommate.  It certainly helps with the finances.

Have you seen this option? I was kinda curious what this thing will do.
Can someone try this and tell us?
It's under Real Estate and Travel service and there are several option things.

Look, especially when the option have something like this:

Oh, by the way the house that my sims live in is normal one.

I live in a Normal House in Moonlight Falls, and I have all of the EPs Installed and my game has the most recent updates.

However I have a problem with the Roommates feature. First I get a notice about my roommate winning a free vacation and so the roommate and my other two adults go on vacation and leave my Teen at home for two days. When the Adults come back I discovered that the roommate has now moved in and he is now a controllable member of the household and I have to run a Vampire for the first time. Heh

Next thing I know I have another roommate and so I dismissed her, only to find that I have another one later.

I do not have the "Real Estate and Travel Services" in the pic above, instead I have "Real Estate" and "Travel" separately.

Does anyone know how I might disable another roommate from appearing once I have Dismissed the one that I have?
