Over run by zombies

Ok so my town is over run by zombies even when there's not a full moon. Someone told me it's because i saved on a full moon. So I created a new game and saved on a full moon to see if that was it and it was. So my question is, is there a way to get rid of the zombies? I know I shift click on the mail box and do it that way with the supernatural population (which I don't mind doing) but is there any other way beside doing that to get rid of them??

First of all - make sure you have the most up-to-date patch; this was supposed to have been fixed a whlie ago.

To cure the existing zombies:
- if you have the Plants vs. Zombies content pack, you can put a Peashooter on your lot and "Have Peashooter Attack A Zombie"
- if you have an alchemist in the house, you could throw a Cure Elixir at each zombie.
- if you have a witch who knows the Sunlight Charm, that will also cure zombification.

resetsim * might fix all the zombies, but I'm not positive of that.

If this isn't a challenge or dynasty file, there is a cheat you can do on the mailbox with "testingcheatsenabled" turned on.    Then shift+ left click the mailbox.  There is an option Supernatural Population Control - choose to remove supernatural Sims and there is a choice for ZOMBIES!!!  That should clear up anyone that is currently a zombie.  You may have one or two people that were infected still hanging around if they hadn't transformed when you do it.
