Separating while pregnant

If I get my sims to separate while the wife is pregnant and then kick her out will she still exist and have the children, and will I still count as the father? I'm just trying to get the 15 children 30 grandchildren rewards by playing only the 1 sim... Maybe I should wait to separate them until the children are born?

I did it without a single female ever moving in.  You can try for baby with a Sim that's not in your house.   You will still count as the father as they are born.  Grandchildren will be harder though without the Sims in the house because you'll need access to at least one of the children to get the town pregnant too.

Yeah my sim got her pregnant before they moved in together, but I couldn't resist getting my hands on their 290k mansion ;)
