No there should be no difference between using the SuperPatch and using the manual patch as far as what works and what doesn't.   

Was your ghost hunter a new character or one that was previously employed in that profession?

Did you reach level 5 before or after the patch?

Before, just barely; the night after I added the patch was her first work-day on that level. Ugh. An option to make life easier pops up, and I can't take it because I didn't play slowly enough.

Before. Ugh. An option to make life easier pops up, and I can't take it because I didn't play slowly enough.

I would almost suggest quitting and reaching level 5 once again.   If you haven't maxed logic yet, that will help raise levels quickly.

Especially since you might not reset to level 1 - usually when you leave a career and come back, you come back at half your previous level. I guess the question is, would it be faster to slog through the profession without using the ghost hunting jobs, or would it be faster to have the ghost hunting jobs available and make up a couple levels?

Haven't gotten any yet. Anyway, I think I'd rather try the 'quit and restart' method, I suppose. I've got a lot of time to do it in, and I do think the extra job options will help.

Besides, I was starting to think everything was going too according to schedule, anyway.

As mentioned previously I'm not sure that's been fixed.   There are two reasons that you crash after building.    One is using foundations and one is because of a rain puddle the game didn't clear properly.

The solutions are don't use foundations or find the effected spot and possibly attempt to work around it.   If it's not a challenge or dynasty file, you can save your house to the house bin, delete the lot and replace the house.  Afterwards, you should be able to build to your heart's content and save with no problem.

So pleased about some of these fixes, especially before I get too far into my immortal dynasty attempt, already plagued by omni plant boxes and date calls, forgot to get the mail before I came back from China, those Chinese ladies wouldn't leave my sims husband alone and he came back with a ton of boxes and bills.

The door thing looks great, I resorted to fencing my cooker off to keep my sim away from it, fridge full of cooked food and she always wants something else  ::) But this will be so much better, all the non immortals can go in the kitchen and the others can be kept out.

The abductions is good news too, my poor fourth gen townie dynasty heir was permanently pregnant, but then his supermax was logic so he was sort of asking for it.

Anyone who was having problems before should be able to patch.   EA replaced the old incremental with the SuperPatch that we had links to yesterday.

I am so glad the update worked for you Ricalynn.  Everyone's computer system is different.  All I know, more people than not, are still having problems with this superpatch and it has really messed up some people's games.  Personally, I am waiting until I know for sure more people are getting it to work before I install it.  On my sister's computer it messed it up so bad, she is going to do a full reinstall at this point and that is with taking the whole mods folder out.  If anyone installs this patch, just please make sure you backup your game.

Sorry to hear about bshag's problem. Did she take the mods out before or after she patched?  My understanding is that a lot of mods were broken with the patch and that could be a culprit as to why.  I wish her luck in figuring it out. 

Right now I'm not seeing that many problems with all the places I've been checking which is why I said it was safe.  I'm not even seeing a ton of threads on the main forums.  The main bug thread compiled by Crinrict is only 4 pages long which is saying something since the day after the Seasons patch it was close to 10 pages long.   People are still trying things out to see what works.  There has been a lot of regrouping of interactions under the computer and cellphone.

Yes, she did take her mods folder out and everything else.  I am still going to wait and make sure, she is really having a bad time with her computer right now, which I am not saying the patch caused.  I think it was time for her to do a reinstall anyway.  Maybe I will try this evening and see if I can patch. :)

All reports say that anyone who is not a Mac should be able to patch.  Because of the issues they were having with PC people and the normal patch, they didn't even try to do the Mac patch yet. 

Whether you should patch is always up to user.   I really wish her luck with her computer.   I've had to do 10 reinstalls since last April.
