I haven't had any of the age problem with the dressers.  I had on the same day a couple age up to elder and teen son to YA when I played yesterday (that was a first for me, to have it happen to more than one).  All three of them went to the dresser to plan outfits for their new ages and there wasn't any resetting of ages.

I guess I now get to wonder about finding him a mate, if I will have a problem with the inventory of which sim I am playing in that family.

How many days elapsed between their birthdays and dresser usage?

I can say for certain that I used a dresser twice not on a birthday - once to prepare a wedding dress and once to prepare maternity clothes - and didn't have the sim's age reset.

For my sims, I always have them go straight up and do the plan outfits.  They give them such weird outfits that I can't stand the thought of them wearing that.  The female sim that aged up to elder was put in for everday clothes the long wrinkle type skirt with a PINK winter jacket for the top (I hate the color pink).

Back to topic, wouldn't that be a glitch tht randomly shows up?  I can remember at times having a glitch with animals when I had the pets ex pack.  It was random in showing up, normal critters would suddenly warp into weird looking critters and as suddenly go back to normal shape.
Some glitches seem to be standard for all, no matter what everyone will have it; such as the gift boxes, but others can be random.  A blessing and a curse at the same time.

I dont think anybody said it, but tell me if they did :) When you open sims they have the Maxis intro, instead of the sims, but then it goes to sims, and before that is sims.

I thought that the patch put the option to ask someone to be roommate, but I have not had that option and I wonder under what conditions you get the option.  I would assume if a sim lives in a house and has another sim over that is a friend, the option would come up.

I have not had the dresser age problem, but when I put  a sim in CAS with testingcheats on, it puts their age all of the way to the beginning of their present life stage.

I don't think there is any mention of the roommate option in the patch Notes.

Yes, my sister has that option, so it is there.  They might not have made mention, but they always add something with the patch that has something to do with the game, but for the most part, sometimes they glitch out.

I am finding CAS completely unusable since patching.  It crashes every time.  Very frustrating.

Tilia, could it be some corrupted CC, or out-of-date CC? My game has crashed once since Patching, plus my PC has automatically gone into hibernation (overheating prevention) twice in my last play session. I think it may have something to do with a television I downloaded recently.

Oh, I think I do have some cc hair or something floating around.  I will try that.  Thanks!

Is it me, or is everyone skilling really fast since the patch? I had a sim go from 0 to maxing painting in the course of 3.5 small paintings, with no obvious reason why he should have gone that fast.

Mine aren't skilling fast, would be nice though, if that could happen.  Same speed as normal in skilling up.

I am noticing a slight increase in skilling. I figured it was some hidden thing to do with the normal sim having a vampire mother.

Observations since latest update
« Reply #164 on: March 03, 2013, 12:42:09 AM »
Good evening.
Forgive me if I should have posted this to a different thread, but I have noticed some differences in the game since the latest update.
For example, neither the police nor my aggressive dog will catch a burglar (even with alarms).  My aggressive dog no longer chases the mailperson.
Also, I never noticed before the update having to actually choose which movie my Sim was going to see at the theater...is that new?
Are there any other new quirks we should be made aware of?
Side note: This forum is a lifesaver!  Thank you for all your time and effort.
