It doesn't do it, I heard it doesn't work on macs, so maybe thats why. nothing shows up when i do it.

Oh yeah I can't remember how I used to look that up but I am totally going to go look on my Mac now for you.  Last I heard the Mac Patch wasn't available.  Did you patch this week?  You'd know if you did.

I just loaded up my Mac and it hasn't downloaded a patch and says I'm up to date so the Mac patch isn't available right now.  I am still looking for you on how  to figure out what version you're on though.


Found it:   Open the Finder then Go to Applications. Open the Sims 3 folder.  Right click the base game icon and choose "Show Package Contents".  In the new Finder menu, open the contents folder then choose "info.plist".

There's going to be a lot of text but eventually you will come to a string that says :

Code: [Select]
<key>ClientBuild</key>
<string>1.48.5.020017</string>
That 1.48 is the patch number you're on.   All Macs are on 1.48 right now.

Mac patches are now available!


Also - the dresser resetting age bug has returned.  Any Sim that uses a dresser to plan an outfit has their age reset.

So we should avoid changing outfits on Dynasties?

Is that only on Mac? Because I'm not getting this problem.

Huh. Maybe I'm just lucky then. I've been changing outfits in my games since I installed the patch and I haven't had this issue.

Someone else may want to test this, but post-patch, it appears my newlyweds can no longer write thank you notes for wedding gifts. I do have a desk to use as a writing space, but the option simply isn't coming up. At all. For either newlywed.

I noticed that as well, at first I noticed they never rolled the wish to send them after collecting the mail, usually at least one of them if not both roll that wish, so I clicked the mailbox and nothing.

But compared to the other way where they could send notes but never actually got the gifts I think I prefer this bug.

I have also noticed since the patch, if you move an NPC or townie in your sims household, it messes up the inventory and when you click on your sims picture on the left, the white square which indicates which sim you are playing, stays even after you click on another sim.  I would suppose it has something to do with University's roommate addition.  Maybe this will go away when University is installed, I hope so, because that is how I get mates for my sims, is either NPC's or townies.
