Patch 1.50

I have been unable to add a house in Edit Town mode since this patch. It always crashes to desktop. I've cleaned all cashes.

I believe it needs to go into your package folder in the mods folder, I just had to reinstall my folder too.

Thanks for the response--all of my CC is already in the Packages folder within the Mods folder. No idea what's wrong.

If you are in a Non US country and still getting the incremental patch and not the superPatch - EA suggests:

@crinrict Can you ask the affected users to please shut down The Sims 3 Launcher and Origin, then try to connect again to the Patch?

You know which one you're getting because of the size difference.   The incremental is 200 or so MB and the SuperPatch is over 1GB.

I have two questions.   I have downloaded the patch and so far no problems.  When I go to play the game the launcher is blank.  Which is not a big deal, but what is confusing is that it shows the latest patch as being 1.60.136  Huh ? ? ?   
Is there another patch besides the 1.50?

Open up C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\skuversion.txt - it opens in Notepad. The very first line is your real patch level. If that says 1.60, EA botched a piece of coding. If it doesn't, and it says 1.50, your Launcher is glitching out.

My launcher is always glitching out - right now it says; 17.0.77.021001 - but I just checked via that pathing and it says 1.50 so thank you~

The 17 is for the latest EP.  You should always remember to mouse over the base game icon for the current patch number that EA refers to.

Edit: I am having a recurring bug right now where if I move in a whole bunch of people into my home.  I get what's called the Multi-Selected Portrait bug where the game refuses to choose a Sim.     Will anyone else try to test this for me?   It happens regardless of town and regardless of whether I move in homeless townies or normal townies. 

I did it both with the cheat and with the actual move in and it messed up both times.

Unfortunate side effect of the new patch:   All EA towns now auto place lots from previous expansions.  So Lunar Lakes, Lucky Palms, etc are no longer as fast loading as they once were.

Yeah Lunar Lakes normally took between 3 - 4 minutes to load. Now it's gone over 5minutes at least for me.

I don't know if it's patch related but I spent a good 20 minutes looking for the picnic basket item! I looked at the guide and everything, it said it should be under outdoor cooking, but it wasn't there.

I'm probably losing the plot.

So you can't get picnics on community lots? How bizarre, that's the place where I'd want them most!

Yeah it's for residential only.  The picnic baskets you see in game are spawners that aren't available.  The closest you get is the picnic tables under community objects.  They seem to help spawn them on your lots.

If you mouse over the base game icon in your launcher and it says 1.50.#### then you have this patch.   What are you missing?
