How did you even pull off the desert cart? That was very cool.

  • Yes I really am a twin. Other twin: audbooh
I think I might have passed out along with audbooh. I was starving without this story (thirst to know what's next... not actually starving  :P) and I have two questions. First, what is Hiatus?  Second, not sure if we're still doing this but I would like to ask Nathaniel if he is jealous that Kenshin and Talus are more popular than he is.  :P

Hiatus means taking a break/putting something on hold. Don't have an answer to your second question, though. :-\

Absolutely love this story! I am also curious to know if you the Bachelors are still taking questions. If they are I do have a few, but I won't post them unless I know one way or the other.

The venues are breathtaking... and now I - have - to create a chess club!! That plays jazz and classical music in the background :D

Haven't commented on this story yet, but I am a huge fan!  I admit at first I wasn't a huge fan of Leopold, but his courteousness (I think that's a word...) and love for musicals is enough to win me over!  ;D  I am a total musical freak.

Yay! I have finally caught back up... Now I get to guess along with everyone else when Rosa gives us those cliffhangers!

I went on a Bachelorette Binge over the weekend and I'm sure glad I did.  I re-read the entire thread from the beginning and picked up on details that I missed the first time through.  I even kept a little notebook beside me to write down my thoughts on each of the Bachelors and Marielle too :)

Rosa, the story you have written and developed is spectacular!  All of the characters are so full of life and depth that it makes this a joy to read!   Sponsors, I also wanted to thank you all for creating such interesting and vastly different Bachelors for Marielle.  It really is wonderful how this all came together.

Since I cannot comment on everything that has happened in the entire thread, I just wanted to say a few things quickly.

1.  I love the Bachelor's Bunk Room.  I really like the how each of the Bachelors have items beside their bed representing their personalities.  I died laughing when I saw everything Nathaniel brought with him and then later on I noticed the picture of himself hanging beside his bed.  That was too fitting!
2.  I also wanted to voice my excitement as well for the idea of a wedding between Marielle and the lucky Bachelor she chooses.  That would be so wonderful to see!
3.  I wanted to join one of the Bachelor's teams, however, I just can't decide on one.  Marielle has quite a road ahead of her with some hard decisions to make.  So I'm flying my flag for all of the men.  (Also, thank you samoth/Tom for creating the Banners, they are very cool!)

I'm thinking about the rose ceremony.

We know Everette is safe

I think these lot are safe:

Nathaniel- Simply because of Marielle's comments towards him

Dimitri- After the plasma compatibility test Marielle seems to enjoy his company

Leopold- This date

Dominic- Despite his comments Marielle has a spark with him that she feels shy about igniting but it is clear to me that it is there.

So I think these lot are in danger

Talus- Perhaps the least in danger of those in the danger zone however Marielle does seem to be losing interest in him

Kenshin- They just don't have a spark.

I wonder what others think

Hm, interesting. I agree with most of your guesses.  I think Dominic is in the most danger, because I don't really feel like he and Marielle have anything "special."  *shrugs*  Same goes for Kenshin (though it pains me to admit).

I agree with ManiSims.  I think the one in the most danger is Dominic.  The way he reacted when he learned Marielle was a Vampire, just keeps jumping out in my head and he has done a lot of backpedaling since that comment.  I just can't forget that.  Plus, I just don't like his flirty nature.  It always seems, that behind Marielle's back, he's flirting with yet another woman.  Yes, I too am afraid that Kenshin may also be in danger.  I like Kenshin so much, he has such a good heart, however, I am worried for him.  He's just so shy.  I hope he lets Marielle knows how he feels before it is too late :(

Talus, I think is safe for now.  I think him and Marielle share a special connection both being occults and night owls.  Plus Marielle's reaction to him after Douglas Lyle's (the Magician) Trick, in my mind puts him in the safe zone.  But I agree with the rest of your assessments on the other Bachelors karlissa.

Brigadoon?!?  So impressed with that choice!  Maybe not as impressed as Nina is with Leopold, but still  ;=)

Hahaha. Well, who wouldn't be impressed with such a dapper and handsome gentleman? Brigadoon was Magz's idea to bring up in conversation--their dialogue is a true team effort. But I did in fact see a college production of it and I was quite taken. Being of Scottish heritage myself, perhaps I couldn't help but like it!

Cool update! I love Leopold.

Thank you! Isn't he a sweetie? And so dashing!

It's nice to see that the two of them can discuss books and musicals together, though shared interests have a way of making couples think that it's all they need.

Mmmm, indeed. Certainly more is required to make a relationship work, but it never hurts!

Me too!  I'm surprised at the depth of their conversation.  Brigadoon, wow!  That brings back old memeories.  I think the Nat King Cole version of the song was in Groundhog Day for the younger readers who have probably never heard of Brigadoon

@ Melancholy_anju, the date isn't over yet, so for us Leopold supporters, let us still enjoy our day in the sun.  Talus will get his turn.

Yes! I think it was nice for Leopold to get the chance to talk to her one-on-one as he does have a lot of depth and is more of an introverted type so not likely to get the chance to have such a deep conversation otherwise. And he's far too polite to grab her away from someone else! I do love Groundhog Day, too. My mum and I were just talking about it actually! What are the odds?

Hmmm I think I missed something here...but that's just as well. Team Leo, enjoy the limelight! He's getting a nice, in-depth date here.

I like the food carriage! Or whatever you'd call the cart of desserts. Is that some Store content I missed, or CC, or just creative use of some misc. carriage?

Yeah, the food carriage blew me away! Rosa, if you did what I think you did to get it like that, just for those shots, you have WAY more patience and dedication than I ever thought possible. *hands you giant gold star*

That was a superb scene!  I loved their discussion and that shot of the cart is phenomenal!

Thank you! As I mentioned, Magz from Oz deserves much of the credit for the dialogue.

Such a great romantic dinner scene to see. And very amazed to see the dessert trolley. Actually, how did you do it? Can't wait for next date scene.

How did you even pull off the desert cart? That was very cool.

Trip, it is neither Store content nor CC. It is from Outdoor Living Stuff, recoloured and I added the desserts to it. Gwendy, I'm not sure what you think I did! I'm afraid I did not live up to your wild expectations here. Thank you everyone for the compliments to it, though! I used some CC to allow me to place the plates on the cart. I've been told off before for linking to CC so I won't. Besides, a little mystery keeps things fun. ;)

Oh goodness I don't remember Audbooh passing out! I hope you are no longer starving or thirsting, or whatever it is. I have kept you waiting a long time.  :-\

Hiatus means taking a break/putting something on hold. Don't have an answer to your second question, though. :-\

Thank you for answering the first question, anyway.

Absolutely love this story! I am also curious to know if you the Bachelors are still taking questions. If they are I do have a few, but I won't post them unless I know one way or the other.

The venues are breathtaking... and now I - have - to create a chess club!! That plays jazz and classical music in the background :D

I am fine with the bachelors continuing to answer questions. As far as I am concerned at this moment, the bachelors may answer any questions at any time. Not sure if I will always make a post of it with pictures and so on, though. You are welcome to post them and see if you get answers! I for one am curious as well as Jocboos about Nathaniel's reaction to Tenshin's popularity.

Thank you! Intl_incident is a wonder. I like the Simlux Cinema Palace so much, I held my Simself's wedding there! If only I could have had my Old Hollywood-themed wedding there in real life. Sigh.

I'd love to see your chess club, if you create it!

Haven't commented on this story yet, but I am a huge fan!  I admit at first I wasn't a huge fan of Leopold, but his courteousness (I think that's a word...) and love for musicals is enough to win me over!  ;D  I am a total musical freak.

Thank you so much! I'm sorry it took me months to respond to your first comment on my story. Merriam-Webster says courteousness is indeed a word. And Leopold definitely has hidden depths. I'm glad that this date is allowing viewers to get to know him better, as well as Marielle. I love musicals too, and so does Marielle! So that's a plus for Leopold.

Yay! I have finally caught back up... Now I get to guess along with everyone else when Rosa gives us those cliffhangers!

I don't know about you, but I am always both glad and sorry when I catch up on a story I particularly like. Glad to have read it all and sorry to have to suffer the suspense! So sorry to have heaped so much of it on you. I hope everyone can forgive me for the long break and the stint in the Graveyard. Wrapping up my bachelor's (no pun intended) degree took both more time and energy than I anticipated! And it was a crazy summer. But I am trying to stay on track now.

I am thinking of doing the same! I haven't read my own story through in ever so long. I want to make sure I don't lose sight of the beginning, since this is all supposed to be happening over a week and not more than a year.

Thank you so much for your praise! I agree that the sponsors have done an amazing job. I could not have been more surprised and pleased at how very different the bachelors all were from each other. I had hoped they would have variety and they do in spades! So applause for the Sponsors!

1. Thank you so much! I did spend quite a bit of time on the Bunk Room because I wanted it to be just that--an expression of each bachelor's personality. I was so devoted to that ideal that I made sure to have each bed-space approved by the attendant Sponsor. And Nathaniel's was great fun. That picture is from the photo shoot that Vikram did way back when. I liked it so much and it seemed too fitting to have Nathaniel hang it on the wall by his bed!

2. Well I think I have to do a wedding now. I do enjoy weddings anyway--when they're controllable at any rate (real ones are a pain to organise)--and this is going to be quite the event!

3. I can see why it's a tough choice! Aren't you glad you don't have to make it? So am I! Poor Marielle, it won't be easy for her. But a happy problem to have, eh? And I agree, thank you Tom for the wonderful banners!

I'm thinking about the rose ceremony.

I expect a lot more speculation as the Rose Ceremony draws nearer! There are at least three more updates for this date but then the Rose Ceremony will be upon us. I, unfortunately, will have to re-shoot the entire thing. Some months ago my back-up storage, our external hard drive, was corrupted and I lost a lot of my Simming things. A lot of screenshots, most of my save files. Thankfully, my latest Callahan file is safe. That is irreplaceable. Sadly, most of my Bachelorette screenshots were lost. Thank goodness I had a backup of the third date! But the Rose Ceremony will have to be redone, to which I am not at all looking forward as it was a tremendous lot of work the first time. I believe I will have to rebuild the file as well, since it doesn't appear to remain. Fortunately everyone's points reset week 2.

I am intrigued by your speculation but I feel I ought to refrain from commenting on it. I would, however, absolutely love to hear others' thoughts on it. And here are some now!

Hm, interesting. I agree with most of your guesses.  I think Dominic is in the most danger, because I don't really feel like he and Marielle have anything "special."  *shrugs*  Same goes for Kenshin (though it pains me to admit).

Hmmm, hmmm, most interesting.

Fascinating! If I may offer my own thoughts on Dominic's flirting? I think he can't help himself. It does look very bad in this situation, but I see it as him just wanting people to think well of him and feel good about themselves. I think he may be more insecure than he is willing to admit, but he really just wants people to feel good. Maybe the reason he's been flirting less with Marielle is that he is either embarrassed by the vampire faux pas or he is just a little shy around her? Who knows.

It is my hope that every bachelor get the chance to express his feelings to Marielle before it is too late.

Well we're back! The next update is nearly ready to post, and in the meantime I hope you feel free to post any more questions, speculation, or general comments you might have to share!

GASP! Oh, no, Rosa, that's awful!  :( You worked so hard on those, how dare your hard drive think it can just get corrupted like nothing!  >:( I hope the Rose Ceremony is even just a little bit easier on you the second time, though.

I agree! It's awful when you spend hours and hours on screenshots, and then they get lost or corrupted. :P  But if it is any consolation, in the times that it has happened to me, it has been MUCH easier to re-stage them the second time around, since I've already decided what poses, angles, interactions, etc that I needed.  I hope you find it's easier for you too -- so happy to see that the Bachelorette is back!

That's horrible about your external hard drive. They're always nasty things to retrieve data from too.

But I wish you well in getting back up and running, even through re-shooting hell. :D Glad to see this back from the dead!
