Marielle: This won't be like the blow-'em-up stuff your friend Chris likes--I'm actually impressed you like musicals, not that many guys do!
Leopold: Well, I'm not like many guys.
Marielle: Ooh, it's starting!
Marielle: Oh my goodness! That was . . . incredible. Heartwrenching, really.
Leopold: Shall we go?
Marielle: Oh, I always stay until the credits are over.
(laughing) It's a curiosity of mine.
Leopold: Then I don't mind staying.
Marielle: There. Now we can go. I just think all of those people who put so much time into the movie deserve to be recognised, you know?
Leopold: Of course.
Leopold Confession Cam
I am glad that Marielle is not one of those annoying people who talk in the cinema. I did read the book the movie was based on but the dramatisation is far superior to my own imaginings. The music was delightful and I am amazed at how versatile the actors were.
It was such an powerful movie, I can feel tension the movie provoked, so I hope Marielle is amenable to taking a leisurely stroll before the dinner or I won’t be able to eat a bite.
Marielle Confession Cam
The movie was . . . fascinating. It was, as I once heard an experience described, 'total'. It's better than fun, but it's also harder than fun. It was very difficult to watch at some points. Sometimes I even had to close my eyes because it was so awful. But some parts were just delightful. It was a moving a magical experience. I really felt transported. I look forward to discussing the film with Leopold. He can understand some things much better than I, having lived in a time period closer to the setting. In other ways, it was a universal experience, relatable from any time. I feel like I'm overusing the word 'experience', but I hardly know how else to describe it!

At long last, and after actually deciding to officially put
The Bachelorette on hiatus, I changed my mind and got together an update. I hope that this is positive even if I can't get the next chapter up for quite awhile. I thought about waiting until I had more, thinking that it might be too tantilising, but I decided the readers probably would like some, even if it's only a little.
Secondly, I know that the pictures aren't showing up in the spoilers (at least, they aren't for me). Does anyone know how to make pictures from Flickr work here? I just switched over and I am getting frustrated, but once again decided to just go ahead and post now.
Finally, thank you, all of you, for continuing to read and not giving up on me despite the months between updates. I've said it before and this will not be the last time: I have the greatest fans on the Internet. Thank you.
