Ugh, I wish I could read confession cams! I want to know what Kenshin said about Everette! Ah well. Can't wait to see what happens on Marielle and Leo's date. Now hop to it! (I tease! I tease! I just want to express my enthusiasm, no real pressure intended. In all seriousness, thanks Rosa, for making such an awesome story, even if it does drive us all into rages of suspense!)

While I am convinced that Everette is equally unlikely to have said anything remotely negative, I admit I am quite curious as well.  :D

Where did you get Marielle's dress? It looks awesome.

It's part of a Store set called Jazz Age Wear. I really like it too! Her hairstyle came from the same set.

Lovely update, as always!  Mmmm, Nathaniel in a Speedo.  Yum!  Hm... as far as the date, I'm going to guess some kind of 20's theme to it... possibly...

Yes, indeed. Ah yes, the clues are coming together, no? Indeed, the date will have a twenties theme.

Oh, looking gorgeous as ever, Marielle! Ros... I mean, Platinum, did an amazing job.  ;)

Hahaha, Platinum thanks you ;)

While I am convinced that Everette is equally unlikely to have said anything remotely negative, I admit I am quite curious as well.  :D

Well, I'm going to say the same to you, Audren--someday, you'll get to read them all. In the meantime, enjoy the mystery! Huh--have you ever noticed how close the word 'mystery' is to the word 'misery'? I just noticed that!

I'm guessing that Platinum may continue to play a larger role as we go through this since she gets to have private chats with Marielle and any of the gents needing styling.  She's like our own personal confession cam without the secrecy  :=)

Maybe what happens in the make-up room, stays in the make-up room.  ;)  Stylists are like hairdressers, the repository of all our woes and the givers of sound advice (which we rarely take).  Platinum, you rock!  (Rosa too!)

Hmmm--she could be, except when has anyone ever revealed anything to her on camera? It's a good idea though, I'll keep it in mind, you're definitely seeing unexplored potentials here.

Indeed. If you can't trust your stylist to keep your secrets, who can you trust?
Thank you! :)

After what seemed like a very long day, the time has come for Leopold and Marielle to go on the first one-on-one date. Leopold waits, breathless, at the bottom of the stairs as Marielle descends, resplendent in coral.

Leopold (thinking):  That is an amazing choice of dress.  20’s fashions are notoriously unfeminine but that dress is anything but.  It’s just . . . incredible on her.

Leopold (thinking): That entrance deserves a full scale orchestral rendition of the Joe Cocker song “You Are So Beautiful”.

Leopold (thinking): Make that a full scale orchestra with a deep melodic bass solo.  I can’t think of any song that could surpass the beauty standing before me.

Leopold: Marielle, you are truly a vision of loveliness.  I am honoured to be your escort this evening.

Leopold (thinking): Forget the bass, I think there is a Beatles song more fitting.  (humming under his breath) “Something in the way she moves...”

Marielle: You look like the bee's knees, Leopold. I'm pretty glad to have you as my escort, too.

Leopold: You are more refreshing than a Vial of Potent Bliss.  Just looking at you is an exhilarating experience.

Marielle: You sure know how to make a girl feel good, Leopold. That compliment is très à propos for an alchemist such as myself.

Marielle: So, are you ready to go have the night of your life?

Leopold: Yes, let us be on our way.

Leopold (thinking): Open your eyes Leo, it’s just a dream.

Leopold (thinking): Dream or not, I’m dazzled by this vision standing before me.  (humming) “Pretty Woman... I don’t believe you, you’re not the truth... No one can look as good as you...”

Leopold: Wait! Allow me to get the door for you.
Marielle: Oh! Such a gentleman. But I'd expect nothing less from you, Leopold.

Leopold: Entrez vous, mademoiselle.
Marielle (giggling): Merci, monsieur très gentil.

Marielle: Oh! The seat's a bit low! (laughs)
Leopold: Are you quite comfortable?
Marielle: Yes, it's very comfortable, it's just a bit difficult to see.
Leopold: If it doesn't disorient you, close your eyes, Marielle. There isn’t anything out there more enchanting than what is in this car with me.  Everything else is not worth straining yourself to see.  I see this car has a radio.  Would you like some music?
Marielle (blushing): Yes, please. I wonder if Starlight Shores has an oldies station? Or jazz would be nice.
Leopold: Let us find out.

Where are they going? Find out in Arrival!

I love how Leopold simply could not decide what song was the most fitting.

I would not have pegged Leopold as a Joe Cocker fan.

Great update, Rosa!

Shared credit for this goes to Magz, who wrote Leo's part. It's quite interesting to collaborate so deeply on a date--very different than what I've done before, but the surest way to get Leo's voice just exactly right.

Oh wow!  That was such a beautiful beginning to the date!  Makes me all fuzzy!

Thank you! I liked that little compliment back-and-forth they had going on, I didn't see it until it kind of developed and I thought it was nice :) I'm glad you like it.

Hahaha, there's that quiet Team Leo piping up! You're going to enjoy this date, Team Leo. But you all already knew that, of course!

I love how Leopold simply could not decide what song was the most fitting.

Haha, isn't that endearing? He's a very musical fellow, it seems.

I would not have pegged Leopold as a Joe Cocker fan.

Great update, Rosa!

Who knew, right?

Thank you! ;D And we're almost there, intl_incident, so soon now . . .

While I could never entirely put myself behind Team Leo, (for fairly obvious reasons, I hope) I have always liked him as a character. I can't wait to find out where they are going, though I'm getting a strange feeling that somebody in this thread already knows.  ;)

(Besides Magz and Rosa, of course. I would hope that they know what their characters are up to. It would be rather frightening otherwise)

Ooh, that was just adorable! There really is something between Leo and Marielle. But I'm still firmly rooted in Team Kenshin.

Team Leo: it's quiet and refined . . . just like Leopold.

Now I'm wondering, if each team is a reflection of the bachelor it roots for, what is each team like? Gwendy, I'm lookin' at you for some hilarity here.  ;)

I don't know, yo, I just write the guy. They're all cool, though. But seriously, why does everyone think he's hilarious all of a sudden?
