The first magic showWelcome to the Magic Manor. I am Maelstrom the Magnificent. This evening I will dazzle and astound you with my powers of levitation, transfiguration, and conjuration.
Watch closely!
Nothing in my hands.
But now . . .
Presto!
A magic lamp! It will summon a genie!
But that is not all!
I can also raise myself towards the heavens!
But not only myself . . . for this, I shall need a volunteer.
Marielle: Ooh! Me! Me! Pick me!
Very well, young lady. Come here, to the centre of the room.
Now . . . by the powers of the ancients . . .
Everette Confession CamGood lord! He's going to levitate a woman wearing a short skirt? How indecent! The entire audience is going to get a glimpse of her nickers! Not that I would look, mind you.
Rise!
Marielle: Whoa!
Marielle: I'm flying!
Marielle: Wow! This is cool, but kind of scary! Can I come down, please?
But of course.
Marielle: Thank you.
Marielle: Whew. That was a rush.
Marielle: Yay! So cool!
Marielle: Okay, everyone! On to the next show! Thank you, Mr Maelstrom!
Leopold Confession CamI have to admit I expected more acts from the Magic Show. Although the two we saw were fine, I didn’t think they were especially spectacular. However, maybe I would think differently if I had tried the levitation act myself. I must ask. I’m sure if I acquired a magic lamp Gracie would bury it, but I do wonder what a genie can do. But as the evening isn’t over yet, I don’t want to be too hasty to judge it. I do wonder what Kenshin thinks of the levitation act? If one could teleport from that simple incantation, it would save him a lot of time meditating.
