Moving house & gardening plants

How do i move house and bring my garden plants with me? I can't drag them into the Family inventory box or into my sim's inventory.

I have 6 Money trees that i would prefer to keep rather than having to get lucky with special seeds again (although it seems i am lucky with them lol, more money trees than anyother special seed produce!)

Generally you can't. The one thing I can think of to try - but I don't know if it will work with trees - is to move the plants into indoor planters.

On the other hand, once you've moved off the lot, the game will take over the garden for you, and you'll be able to visit the old lot and harvest there. I think money trees will continue to produce.

so my only option is to have seeds?

In that case, i'll wait until my yet to be perfect trees to become perfect, drop a seed and i'll replant the seeds on my new lot.
