Magician Glitch

Did you add one to your household and had some children with it? I still don't see the glitch effect in your post.
Oh, where are those failed dynasties? I like to read them through for some magician info.

Leto, I never posted those attempts, because they ended very quickly. I never moved in a magician myself, that's what I have heard, or read. And the glitched part is widely discussed in this same topic. He is just disappearing when you attempt to interact with him.

'It can be difficult to engage a Magician in conversation, because they tend to vanish just before your Sim reaches them. This does not always happen, and it is possible to talk to a Magician in the park. The glitches surrounding the offspring of Magicians have been fixed, so it is now safe to WooHoo with them. They can be male or female and are attired in black suits with red vests, white gloves and top hats. EA is planning on expanding the magician's role in later expansion packs such as Generations, because it has entertainers in it.'

So it is safe to marry them though.

Generations doesn't have an entertainer in it but it's still good to know that those nasty glitches have been fixed. But, as they say, better safe than sorry. Consider making a backup.

It does have entertainers, but you can only use them for bachelor/bachelorette parties.

My practice Sim just met a Magician. He has 5 traits (only 3 of which I know so far), and the "Try for baby" option did come up. He spent the night with her, and is now her boyfriend. When I finish my practice game, I plan to give her the young again LTR, and see what happens if they get married.

She became his friend by doing the Charming Introduction and then tutoring him in something. When she tried to chat, he ran away, but she was able to call him and invite him over.

If they have children, I'll try to figure out if they have any hidden trait.

You'll find them at the park during the day.

While I'm not sure, I don't think Magicians have hidden traits.

In all of the different games I've played in the sims 3 I have never, ever seen a magician. What lots are they usually on and what time of day do they come out?

Usually, when I start a brand new game, there's some homeless townies at the park that rarely visit (maid/socialworker/magician). I've seen the magician in the park a few times later, too, but most often she comes out of the bookshop and gets in her car and just disappears... I think I've seen her come from the shop several times, maybe I just spot it more easily as my sim sometimes spends time reading on the benches there.
