Off Topic: Oh I didn't know that I could do that, I just joined.

On Topic: I got one of my guys to get married to one of them so I am hoping to share with you if there is such a hidden trait to these magicians!

There are a few different Magicians running around town, male and female, and they will just disappear sometimes  :o.  I had one of my Sims get know him ahem...intimately and he only had 4 traits as I recall.

Strange, mine only had three, could there be 2 hidden traits?  ???

When I checked my game, the Magicians I posted pics of only showed 3 traits.  So my memory failed when I said 4 traits...sorry.  :-[ :P

I got my Sim to hit on one of these magicians and got him to move in. It was a little disappointing actually, the job disappeared and I never saw that cool outfit and face paint again. :-\

He only had 3 traits but i just now got him enough points for a mid-life crisis so I was able to give him 5 and he is basically just a normal dude now. Meh.

I wouldn't have messed with their traits, but I did the same but didn't dare mess with their traits. So now that I had a child he only got 2 traits as a child, I am guessing that the kid has 2 hidden traits.

I believe one of the fixes in the latest patch (1.5/1.6) is that NPCs now have all traits listed. So, I would assume that covers magicians.

Children don't get all of their traits until they become Young Adults.  Infants and toddlers have two traits, children have three traits, teenagers have four traits, and adults have five traits.

Ok at least I am not losing my mind, so far anyway!  My female Sim is new to town (Sunset Valley) and she was out and about in the park when she came across a male sim by the name of Edward Prowley.  He was dressed the same as the 1st screenshot that has been posted.  My sim asked about his career, get to know, and ask if single and then he took off really quick.  She learned only that he is a magician, is single, and has only 3 traits that are unknown since he took off so quickly.  If only he could really perform magic and our sims could have that as a career too.  Oh well!

Magicians were one of my favorite parts of SIMS 2.  It'd be cool to have EA put that back into SIMS 3...

I don't remember Magicians in TS2, were they in TS1?  What did they do in TS2?  ???

I remember the clown guy in Sims 1! I hated him! He comes when you have a boring party or something and he makes people cry or depressed. And if you have a art peice of him he would stare and cry at it.

Ive never seen a magician in Sims 3 though, ill keep an eye out when im walking around the place from now often! :)

There was also the Makin Magic EP for Sims 1. Sims could do all kinds of spells, like enchanting the garden gnomes which would turn them into little gardeners that would tend your garden.

Between the plant sims and magic sims, I almost miss SIMS 2.

I miss a lot of things from both Sims 1 and 2, there was just so much more lunacy and weirdness in earlier games. Like the aliens, the robots, the tragic clown you couldn't get rid of. The psychotic Mrs Crumplebottom and her purse. :o

I'm hoping future EP's will bring more madness. ;D

@ Horkslair...OK, the Apartment Life EP for TS2 brought Witches and Warlocks and they could have magic spell books and cast spells, but they technically were not magicians.  I didn't care for the evil witches since it turned their skin a dark green and I eventually found a mod that fixed that.  ;)  When I think of Magicians they perform magical tricks like pulling a bunny out of a hat!  Now that would have been fun for the Sims3 game and their parties....too bad they didn't follow through with that.  Who know maybe they will do it in a later EP.  :D

I agree PJSim I miss a lot of things from TS2, although not sure about Mrs. Crumplebottom she kind of ruined some of my dates and engagements with her shenanigans!  >:(  Yessss, more madness is needed for TS3.  :D

True. Real magicians can't do real magic, very logical I always thought. :D

I hadn't seen a magician either until recently.  Then I ended up befriending two of them.  Now one of them is elderly and still best friends with my sim.  I thought about inviting him over and moving him in and then decided against it.  Seems like once you see one, then you start seeing them more often.  I finally met a female one, but she ran off too.  At least the other ones I got to be friends with before they took off and they only had three traits also.
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

The Magicians hang out at the park and they don't stay around long.  It's mostly luck that you get to see one.
