Magician Glitch

I don't know if many of you have seen the magician walking around town but he turned out to be a great mate for my sim.

Most of his needs do not decay.  I have only seen his social and fun decay and they decay at a decreased rate than any of my other sims!!!

I think I've seen this guy once.  What is his name?

I can't remember (I am at work)  he is wearing the top hat and he has full face paint on

I've seen him! I think he has a monical too. He's a bit on the chunky side, right? He disappeared in thin air during a playing for tips session for my guitar player a few days ago. First, I killed Mortimor Goth during a performance. Now this!

There are a few different Magicians running around town, male and female, and they will just disappear sometimes  .  I had one of my Sims get know him ahem...intimately and he only had 4 traits as I recall.

I also read a thread on the EA forum and someone said that EA made the magicians to perform at parties, but apparently for some reason they didn't follow through with that plan.  They included them in the game anyway, but they don't seem to serve a purpose at the moment.  It would be nice if they decided to make them perform at parties at a later date!

Anyways, I've never seen this guy (or might have) could someone show me what he looks like?

Tragic Clown resides in the graveyard.. ( he is dead  ).  They are talking about a different person who is new in TS3, you can usually see him in Central Park Sunset Valley....here's a pic of one of the Magician's I've seen in my game.


His name was Darrick Flynn who only has 3 traits show up after my Sim talked to him, which were Charismatic, Flirty and Good Sense of Humor.  They are always dressed like this (although the color of the Tux varies, I've only seen dark colors like black and greys, and have the face paint).

Wanting to be fair and give some screen time to the female Magician too!    I didn't write her name down, but this is a female Magician and she is saluting my Sim who is at the top of the Military Career.

I think he's crying because EA dressed him up in such a ridiculous outfit..

I've suddenly started seeing the Magician in the park a lot.  I've seen three or four of them, each different.  They disappear into nowhere, too!  I haven't been able to get my Sim over to one quick enough to have a conversation.

Hmm that seemed to happen in my game Pam...when I first saw a Magician before my Sim could run over to talk to him, he would just Poof! disappear.  The next time I was in the park and I saw a Magician, I paused the game and clicked an intro' for my Sim.  So my Sim was able to talk to him for awhile until he ran away.  The other thing I noticed, once my Sim got to know that Magician, more of them seemed to show up in the Park and with greater frequency.  Since they also stuck around longer I didn't have to pause the game to talk to them....well that's how it seemed to work for me.

I've seen a magician only once, he was in the audience when my Sim played guitar in the park. She talked to him afterwards and I only realized something was strange about him when she asked about his career and he said Magician. And I thought "Wait a minute, that's not a career in the game!"

Strange I met someone just like that. But she didn't have black skin. She has more of a tan. With orange hair. But when I saw her she had that same outfit. I will try to get a picture

Maybe for some of them. The magicians are definitely an unknown commodity at this point. And please use the Modify button in the future instead of double posting.
