Mean Genie

Hi,

I purchased a genie (showtime) using my rewards the problem is this genie has a mean spirited trait, i only goes as far as being a friend to him and then once im about to be good friends with him he does something rude and we are back to acquaintance again. I did the cheat to make him my friend but apparently it does not work on genies. How do I improve my relationship with him?
also, how do I free him (choice has been grayed out) and add him as my household?

Does your sim have the schmoozer trait? This is a good trait to have because you can praise and flatter and this with the never dull lifetime reward gets you friends very fast. To free the genie, you have to become friends with the genie. Hope that helps!

Just because the genie does something rude doesn't necessarily give him Mean-Spirited. He could also be Evil or Inappropriate, or the opposite of whatever you're doing.

Also, if you have Supernatural, you can make the Potent Friendship Jar, which will make him an instant-Best Friend, then you can free him right away.
