New Sim Cheat!
« on: November 03, 2009, 05:57:37 AM »
I haven't seen it on any other PC or MAC website before. It falls into the testingcheatsenabled true category.
Once you have typed in that cheat, you can ctrl click a moodlet, be it negative, positive, or neutral!
Let's say your Sim has a gnawing hunger moodlet.... ctrl click that moodlet (once you have done the testingcheatsenabled true cheat) and the hunger will disappear!
Same with a positive moodlet (though why you would want to get rid of that, I have no idea), and a neutral moodlet. This ALSO means you can ctrl click the fatigue moodlet, so that you can work out again, and again, and again!

I split this to a new topic because it has absolutely nothing to do with the cooking guide, which is where it was originally posted.  I also moved it to the General Discussion category because it's not an announcement.  (Please always put posts in the appropriate category and start new topics rather than going off-topic in an existing thread.)

I checked this out and can confirm that it does indeed work.  However, I cannot recommend it for gameplay because I feel that it takes away a lot of the challenge and fun of the game.  And it absolutely cannot be used in any of the challenges that we host here in this Forum.

Yep, got Joy's Email on this. Really appreciate it. There must be tons of little things I've left out like that. Cheers for improving the guide.

Sorry, I'm new, and I didn't actually know how to post a new thread or start a new post! So, I just posted it in the first thing I saw. By the way, yeah, it does take SOME challenge away from the game, but so do most of the testingcheatsenabled true cheats. All I did was try and improve the website for other Sims 3 players!

No worries, Joy.  You'll get the hang of how to use the different functions on the forum.  And if you have a question about anything, just ask and we'll help you figure things out.

The information you gave is definitely helpful, especially to the guide part of the site that Carl continues to develop.  I just meant that it couldn't be used in our challenges because they always specify no cheats or mods.  Anyone would be able to use it in any other gameplay.

I added this to the cheats page, and for the record it could also be useful for removing the fear moodlet you get after being chased out of the catacombs, so your Sim could go right back in and explore to find more loot, avoiding the 8 hour waiting period after you get toasted by the zombie bears.

Yes, it certainly came in handy at the Catacombs, but I also used it to get rid of the bad smell moodlet when my Sim decided to rummage around in the garbage!   :o ;)

Clever, Igzig, anyone else have good ideas for this cheat? I'm sure it'll come in handy saving Sims from the Mummy's Curse in the future, but for now?

I use it when I am tired of them crying over the loss of a loved one - or even if I have them doing something and they get hungry, tired, or lonely. Depends on if I am playing challenge or legacy legal or if I am just playing for me whether I use it.

I have a quick question.  If you use this cheat when it has the moodlet that says how long you have until your sim dies of hunger and you cancel that, do you still die of hunger?

It will refill the hunger bar.

Wow. Did not know that part! Or I guess didn't notice it. I don't usually do this unless there is a really bad moodlet, because if you click a different one like "good night's sleep" you won't have it anymore!
