Congratulations Decima!  It's a really impressive and polished venue!

Like always, any comments on my build are always appreciated.  Giving feedback is such a fun part of these contests for me - there's so much you awesome builders put into your work - I'll try hard not to be as slow at it this time around!  :P

I knew I wouldn't be able to do a romantic pretty red & pink build justice like the talented members of this forum could. ;)  So 'dangerous and greasy' became the concept - whatever the result, it was a blast to build!

Snuffles - As soon as I saw your build I knew I made the right choice in not trying for the ultra-romantic, as your park set the bar sky-high!  The couch movie theatre was inspired, and the pair of flamingos so charming.  The colours are great, and I loved the elevated portion of the park you made for the pool.  You did a great job using fences and positioning to create distinct rooms.  The only suggestions I might make was to include a day shot in the images, since the park is quite lovely in the sunlight, and perhaps to try using the terrain paints to create pathways or 'flooring' for some of the areas.  Overall it was such a sweet build!

Ladybug - I really like the way you incorporated black, white, and gray to give an edge to the red and pink.  The venue felt very modern and urban as a result.  The use of the showtime stage items was awesome - I love how you coloured them and placed them (and even made a wall with them!).  Seeing a full bar with mixologist made me very happy as well.  I love having the option for a sim with mixology to bartend at a venue, and it prevents the infinite loop of drinking juice at a juice bar my mildly hungry sims always seem to get into!  The only thing you might be able to add to your venue is a series of paths or walkways to connect the pool and buildings.  With the budget you have left over I'm sure you could've made something really cool using a combination of flooring, terrain paint, and perhaps some flowers, shrubs, or modern flowerpots.  Great work as always!

Thanks for your comment Vinyl ! I always seem to forget pathways . I can picture it and it would have made a huge difference . Great suggestions !

@ Vinyl : Your entry is amazing ! I love the rainbow of colors on the exterior of your building . The flags and sign just finished it off nicely . It look like The Happening Place for any sim to go out and have great fun . There's not a bored sim insight. I love all the special effect you've used . What an awesome venue ! I wouldn't change a thing . Great job !

@ Decima : I just love that curved pathway ! What can I say , you're the most creative person I know . Redoing the Sunset Valley Beach was a super idea . What a great place to have a beach party or get married bare feet in the sand like in real life . That would be so romantic in my opinion . Love the hand statue emerging from the sand , great touch. I'm very happy to see you wearing the crown again.

Congratulations to everyone who participated and especially to Decima for winning. There were some really brilliant and unique ideas in this contest.  :) Thanks to the mods for creating such inspiring challenges.

I don't get a lot of time online, so when I am on it's generally just to browse and speed-read new threads. I am open to and appreciative of comments and critiques on all my builds though. I have a lot left to learn.

Well done everyone!

@ Gogowars329 : Your entry is very lovely . I can see a romance just blossoming from spending an evening there . Love all the pinks and reds used . Great building ! I think you might have forgotten to specify the cost furnished and unfurnished though . I don't see it on your entry .

@ Rhapsody : A lot of time and effort went into your entry and it is very lovely . Great place to have a party or wedding ceremony . Great job !

Rhapsody - Your hot springs are amazing!  I keep staring at them, trying to figure out how they were built. What a creative and cool thing to do - and the hottub works perfectly set in them!  I'm really impressed with your use of the terrain paint to create a very natural flow of pathing on your lot (it's something I struggle with greatly).  The whole park is so well arranged and landscaped!

Gogowars - The heavenly pairs made me think 'aww' - too sweet!  Somehow you managed to make an all pink building not all that pink, in a good way.  The venue has a really nice layout, great choices for colour and lighting, and lovely landscaping.  I really like the build.  Nice screenshots too, by the way!

Decima - Your work always has such a detailed, polished, practiced feel to it.  It's obvious you've done a lot of building and are very familiar with the techniques and options available.  It's always a pleasure to see the nifty things you come up with!  I love the way you incorporated the pre-made landscape off the street into the front of your build to help it blend into the town.  Great job as always, and congrats again!

Thanks Vinyl! This was the first time I've used acrostacking! But yeah, I do build a lot. I started in April last year and came last in my first contest.  ;D
