Did you register your games (Pets) when you got it? You can access it thru Sims 3 Games if you did - and re download it again.

By doing this you do Not need to re-buy the ep or the original for that matter.

I don't know about the Cheats as to when that was added - but it may be because you only have the original game installed??

I am able to get the cheats menu up. I know because my brother used it to make his sim have a million bucks. But it seemed like only the "kaching" and "motherlode" cheats worked. We could type in the others, but I know "familyfunds" gets the unknown message, then the testingcheatsenabled and buydebug ones just will be accepted, but won't work when I go back to the regular gameplay. This has only happened since I got the new computer and disc.

Alrighty, not to throw too many people at you but we need you to be as specific as you can be.
Say exactly what buttons you hit, how the screen reacted to it (as Pam did in her post when she described how you can turn both TestingCheats and BuyDebug on), and then what happened after.
Did the game pause? Did the screen darken? Was the space there to type cheats in? Did the game start up again after typing and hitting enter?
The more specific you are, the more we can help you.
