Dead gnome statues appearing out of no where

I just had four Here lies mysterious gnome statue appear, I have no idea where they came from as I have never seen a gnome in game yet! Should I sell them or does keeping them around something good would happen?

It's up to you, I believe they're worth a tidy bundle, but I'm not 100% sure, as I prefer to keep them and make a tiny little graveyard.

Hey, I keep hoping it'll convince the paparazzi that if my sims will kill the gnomes, then no one is safe! (Sadly, isn't working yet)

One thing you should do is keep an eye on your Mysterious Mr Gnomes. They'll also pop out baby gnomes.

I've had a bunch appear on my lot, too, without having had any placed.

I switch households a lot, and I had a family of gnomes with one family, only to find weeks later their graves turning up with other households. It's weird.

Perhaps they appear because of gnomes on other lots, then. If you are playing Monte Vista, the art gallery has two. Perhaps this is the reason for the graves showing up, then. They had babies on the art gallery lot, and when they all die, the graves appear on your own lot - at least, that is what I imagine must have happened in my case.

I've had the gnome tombstones show up on my lot in Monte Vista, too, but never anywhere else. I didn't know there were gnomes at the art museum.

These gnomes are the exact ones from another household - the graves have names that match gnomes from that other family. I remember, I named them myself.

Edit: Why would gnomes dieing on another lot, sprout grave stones on the home lot of your current family? Must be a glitch in my opinion...

Ah that could be it, my house was in the the inter city center in monte vista

I also have a gnome which died on the lot and has his memorial sculpture placed outside of the house. I forgot which type of gnome though.

update on my file: I ended up with 6 tombstones in the inter-city before I moved to a farm on the outskirts, on that farm I found one gnome that is alive and no tombstones so far!

Probably when the programmed the gnome-dies-and-leaves-a-statue thing, they never anticipated magic gnomes being on a lot other than the active household's.
