Pink Diamonds in Monte Vista

Has anyone had any luck finding pink diamonds in Monte Vista?  I've had two miners going for about four Sim days now and I've not turned up a single one.  I've also got other Sims combing the gem deposits using the collection helper.  I'm wondering if I need to change my inventor sim's supermax ...

Don't forget to check the consignment shops or witches!   I haven't found one yet either but that doesn't mean they're not there.  They're a rare spawn.  I'll go looking today for one and see if I can find it for you.

I don't remember ever seeing pink diamonds at the Elixir shop - maybe the dust - but the heart-shaped ones do turn up at the consignment shop from time to time, as you know.  If you're waiting for one, have you tried buying up the other stuff that's on sale at the consignment shop?  If you have the money to do that, it is sometimes a way to make something you want come up.  I've used that method a few times when I really wanted a camera.  Just buy everything and see what's on sale the next day.

If you have Pets, you can have a dog hunt for you. Dogs with the Hunter trait dig up valuable gems like Soulpeace and Pink Diamond quite often. Or try placing some more consignment registers.

Actually if you buy the entirety of a consignment shop, you can go right back to an entirely new inventory.   It's only the relic shops that spawns every day. 


Edit:   I've spent two sim weeks with my collection Sim and I've found a rainbow gem but I have yet to see a pink diamond spawn.   Between dog dig sites, wildflowers and minor animals, it's hard to tell if it's just bad luck because those three take the spawner or it's just bad luck on the percentage.    Remember that the three I mentioned all take the place of a rock or gem so it's possible that you have wildflowers out there holding the pink diamond spot.  I'm going to go into further exploration though.

I've opened Monte Vista in CAW, and here is a picture of the one spawner where a pink diamond can be found (on the island, circled in red):

I can confirm that Pink Diamonds do spawn there, I have found 2, but it took a long time.

Over the lifetime of my inventor, I've gotten all 3 diamonds from the consignment shop.  Later I found one mining.  Never did find one from the spawner, but I'm sure they do occasionally show up.
