This story is on hold yet again. Another trip to the hospital has left me with little ambition to post, though I have played a little bit. I'm not ready to relegate the Winterlys to the graveyard quite yet, however.

Thank you, Blayzen! It worked!  ;)

Just a short update today.

The Winterlys have another set of twins! A boy, Simon...

And, a girl, Sarah. Sarah is a greenboo!

As an explanation: I purchased a new computer and lost my last save file while moving my files. It just wouldn't open. I had to go to the save just before that one. In the original save, neither twin had green skin. A blessing in disguise?

Oh, no! Grim came for Nicole. She was 97. (Nicole died one day after she did in the original save.)

Side Note: I never realized how difficult it would be to play sims without sound! When I bought my computer, it didn't come with speakers. REALLY?! I had to order them through Amazon and they won't be here for three more days. I already had to go back to Best Buy once to buy a cable to go from the monitor to the PC because the one provided didn't fit. They just lost any future business from me.

How many sims does it take to feed one twin?

Poor Lillian was on night shift and sleeps while everyone else has fun on Spooky Day.

It's toddler time and toddler training time in the Winterly household.

Benjamin isn't much of a cook, but he turned a nice quality breakfast calzone without burning the house down.

Savannah Winterly has gone to kitty heaven.

Now, it's time for pet number 4 for Clara. This is Mips Winterly. I should feel guilty for replacing poor Savannah so soon, right?

This house is quite pretty in winter.

The twins really aren't in time-out. They're just playing with their backs turned to everyone.

I'm so glad that you are doing better, and congrats on the new computer!

While losing a save is never fun, in this case it was almost a blessing in disguise since you managed to get a greenboo out of the deal. :) Welcome to Simon and Sarah!

Thank you, RaiaDraconis!

The Winterlys are enjoying Monte Vista. It's such a pretty town!

The twins had their child birthdays. They're still cute!

Here are their official child photos:

It was my understanding that sims couldn't skate on residential lots. Guess I was wrong.

This is how Evan learns to cook...just by watching television.

Grim came for Gramalkin. He was adopted as an elder. There won't be anymore pets for a while. We have to save room in the family for Sarah's spouse when she gets old enough.

Antonio Monty is my choice of future spouse for Sarah. He's quite a bit older so I will have to keep an eye on him.

Oh, no! I didn't realize that Pennie was that old when she was adopted. Goodbye Pennie.

Please welcome Sunny Winterly. They got a puppy this time because all of the other pets are elders. In fact, Peanut will be leaving us any day now :(

Benjamin is studying his logic skill. He's on level 9. He has mastered the athletic skill so has almost achieved his Lifetime Wish.

Benjamin can now do anything he wants...he has made his Lifetime Wish of Perfect Mind Perfect Body.

Wow! That little bitty puppy grew up to be a great big dog!

Until next time when the Winterly twins grow up, Sarah has a wedding and the family moves to their next town.

I always admire your ability to furnish and decorate. As you noticed in my story, I usually keep to the house's original theme; there's a possibility I'll try something different in the next town.

Speaking of next town, I can't wait to see where the Winterlys are moving to! How many towns have they lived in so far?  :)
Check out my new story here!

:) I am also happy that you're feeling well enough to post! Just remember to take care of yourself - I know that Artists are supposed to suffer for their work but there IS a limit! LOL

I was so sad to see that the Winterlys lost their beloved pets, especially Pennie. She had such a fun personality! Hopefully Sunny will help the family feel a little bit better about their loss.

As for Evan learning how to cook from watching TV, isn't that how it's done these days? I can't count the number of cooking shows that are currently airing...Seems like anyone can become a 4-Star Chef simply by watching Gordon, Robert, Martha & of course, The Contessa! LOL

Can't wait to see Sarah's search for Romance unfold! <3

Here's hoping everything works out for Sarah and her hopefully future spouse. Antonio is a cutie and would made a wonderful addition to the Winterly family. :)

...is it sad that I recognized everyone on that list? :P One can definitely learn a lot from cooking shows. A sim being able to skill up by watching Cookin' Cable is not too far from reality, actually.

Thank you, MissPlumbob! I must admit that decorating my sims' homes is one of my favorite parts of the game. Monte Vista is town number 7. Half way through all of my towns if I don't use Dragon Valley. I can't see that happening though...LOL

Yes, Blayzen, I am feeling much better now. Thanks. I watch a few of those cooking shows on tv myself, even though I've been cooking for decades! It's always interesting to see new ways...and new recipes.

Raia, I don't think it's sad at all that you recognize everyone on that list. I did as well!

The "Terrible Teens" have come for the twins. Sarah has her birthday first, as befits the heir. Sarah rolled the Athletic trait for her birthday.

And then, it's Simon's turn. He rolled the Proper trait.

I didn't add pictures because there have been so many birthdays.

Here are the twins as teens.

Naturally, the first thing that Sarah does is to invite Antonio Monty over to ask him to be her boyfriend. She had to ask him to break up with someone else first but she got the job done.

I knew Peanut would be leaving us soon. She left with Grim today. Now, they really will have to wait to add the final pet requirement for Clara's LTW or there won't be room for Sarah's future spouse and their nooboo(s).

Sarah and Simon are doing their homework in the garage. Why? Beats me! There are plenty of more appropriate places to do it.

Poor Benjamin. He aged up to elder all by himself in the basement.

Which means that Lillian, being the same age, is also an elder. And she's only at level 8 in her career (medical). She'd better get busy!

Benjamin and Simon are not getting along. They just had a doozy of an argument.

Both Evan and Clara have had their Adult birthdays, complete with midlife crises.

It's time for Mip's appointment with Grim. They are down to one pet now.

This is the first time I've seen two sims doing the cheer together.

This is Georgie Winterly. He's the final required pet for Clara to get her Lifetime Wish. Isn't he a cutie?

The twins are finally young adults.

I had quite a time getting Sarah married. She just wouldn't complete the interaction. I thought it might be Sarah's new Commitment Issues trait. But, once I removed the wedding arch, the wedding went through. Whew!

They are on their way to Starlight Shores. Simon will remain in Monte Vista.

I'm excited to see how the boys grow up!  I love it when people use the sims with different than normal skin sliders!

Thank you. Actually the green color is not from a slider. That color made it through at least seven generations...from the Earthsong genes in Hidden Springs. (Town 1)

My Immortal Dynasty founder is a slider sim (pale yellow) and his heir is a pale blue.

Here are the twins as teens.

Wow. Simon & Sarah look almost like identical twins! (Except for the different genders & skin tone) I don't think I've ever seen Fraternal SimTwins that looked so much alike. Genetics are truly a mysterious force; I doubt I'll ever really understand how they work.  ???

I have mixed feelings on this...On the one hand, Sarah came between a couple in love to get what she wanted. On the other hand, they couldn't have been that happy together if Sarah was able to convince him to break up with his girlfriend. On yet another hand, I have to respect a girl who knows what she wants and goes after it but then, on the other...Stop. The voices are telling me that I am not an octopus & therefore have run out of hands so I guess I'm going to have to go with, "Congratulations Sarah and Antonio!  ;)

Awww! I think Georgie is absolutely adorable! Congratulations Clara for achieving your LTW!

I find it funny that after going to all the trouble of convincing Antonio to break up with his girlfriend that Sarah would have doubts about going through with the wedding...However, I'm glad that it all worked out in the end. Good Luck in Starlight Shores! I am looking forward to seeing if the Earthsong genes continue to dominate in future generations. *crossing fingers for more greenboos*

Great update! :D

Thank you, Blayzen!

Yes, Sarah and Simon do look a lot alike. I would have chosen Simon as the heir if he had been green.

You know, my octopus armed friend, I didn't really like breaking Antonio up with his girlfriend but there was absolutely no one else available who would make an appropriate mate for Sarah. So heartbreak it was. There were a lot more single females so if I hadn't had my heart set on continuing the greenboos as long as possible... Stubborn is my middle name...LOL

Sarah rolled the Commitment Issues as her last trait. I'm not sure if it was that or that the wedding arch was glitched. As soon as I deleted it, they said their vows.

Hmmm, maybe it was breaking up Antonio's relationship that caused Sarah to get Commitment Issues in the first place? She couldn't have cared much about relationships if she was willing to end someone else's. Oh well, I'm sure she and Antonio will be happy together regardless.  :)

It's a shame Simon couldn't be heir, he's cute! The hairstyle he aged up with really suits him.
