Childhood has arrived for the twins. So far, Christian is my choice for the heir. Charissa rolled the Workaholic trait to go with her Loner and Clumsy traits. Christian got the Over-Emtional which is added to his Loves the Outdoors and Excitable traits.

The household is so full that its difficult to keep track of everyone. Eight sims and two pets. Yikes!

Lillian Winterly has gone with Grim. Her age was 90.

I just couldn't resist. Since Lillian is gone, they had to try one last time for a greenboo. I hate to see the Earthsong genes fade out.

Christian loves the rocking horse. I have to really watch him so he does his homework.

Two days later, at age 92, Benjamin follows Lillian. Even though I will miss Ben, I'm happy that the family will be a little easier to control.

The new baby Winterly has arrived. His name is Bennett. Not a greenboo :( So, that is truly the end of the Earthsong genes. They did last for seven generations. That's a good long time! I can't find his baby picture. I must have forgotten to take one in my disappointment.

Lots of birthdays today. First Bennett becomes a toddler. Isn't he a little cutie?

Then, Charissa and Christian become teens. I love Charissa's hairstyle. Maybe it came with Island Paradise? Charissa's traits are Loner, Workaholic, Family-Oriented and Clumsy.

Christian is a good looking young man, unlike some of the Winterly teens have been. Christian's traits are Over-Emotional, Loves the Outdoors, Excitable and Computer Whiz. Good grief! What kind of Lifetime Wish are these traits going to produce?

Bennett quickly learns his toddler skills.

There's not much going on right now. Just waiting for Christian to get a girlfriend and become a young adult. The teen years seem to just drag out for me.

I forgot a birthday again. Poor Bennett aged up by himself on the nursery floor. He is now Artistic, Friendly and Inappropriate.

This is Alana Best. She and Christian became romantic interests at the Prom and he asked her to be his girlfriend the next day -- Snowflake Day. Alana has unusual features. I think they suit her though. She's a coward. I don't know her other traits yet.

Clara is an elder. That long underwear has got to go! She doesn't look like Clara with that hair either.

And then, it's Evan's turn to age up. I think this is the first time that I've seen a sim age up in his/her work uniform. Or, maybe I just wasn't paying attention :P

Another birthday: Antonio is now an adult. And, no midlife crisis!

Still more birthdays where Bennett becomes a teen...

...and the twins become young adults.

Christian immediately proposes to and marries Alana Best.

They are on their way to Lunar Lakes!

Darn, no greenboo. :( Ah well--the green genes lasted for quite a long time regardless. Good luck in Lunar Lakes--and I'm glad to see that you're feeling well enough to write! <hugs>

Thank you, Raia! I was disappointed there wasn't another greenboo. But...something happens in Lunar Lakes that helped me get over that disappointment. I'll try to update sooner next time and not keep you all waiting too long.

I'm glad that the Winterlys are back. I read your story a while ago before starting my own RTJ and I really like it. And I of course love the whole concept of RTJ. Changing towns and meeting new sims makes it so interesting.

Looking forward to what happens in Lunar Lakes.

I'm glad also to see that you are feeling better and able to update the story, but please don't over do it.

Sound like a mother hen don't I?   :)

Thank you all so much!

Janna, Mother Hens are good! I am one myself
:)

Lunar Lakes is the new home of the Winterly family. I decided that I wanted to try building another octagon house and this is what I came up with. I'm calling it the Lunar Lakes Octo-Courtyard. This house has plenty of activities for them to play with.

Charissa stayed behind in Starlight Shores. This family should be quite a bit smaller by the time they move to the next town. I swear there will be only one nooboo! At least I won't have to worry about twins this generation. There are already seven sims in the family.

Speaking of which...the bells rang ;)

The season is Spring.

Christian Winterly: Just as handsome as he was as a teenager. Traits: Over-Emotional, Loves the Outdoors, Excitable, Ambitious, Computer Whiz. LTW: CEO OF A MEGA CORPORATION

Alana (Best) Winterly: I think she looked better as a teen. Traits: Good, Natural Cook, Light Sleeper, Coward, Lucky LTW: CULINARY LIBRARIAN

Evan has one more career level to go before he reaches his Lifetime Wish of Celebrated Five-Star Chef. Sarah is at Level 5 of the Athletic career. She has to meet her teammates all over again.

Alana didn't spin, probably because of her graduation attire, but she did feel her tummy.

Why is Alana running down the street? Because she left the graduation ceremonies early because of her pregnancy and wanted to ride home with everyone else. Silly girl.

I forgot about Sarah's birthday so she aged up in her bedroom. Yes, I'm a bad watcher :(

Georgie spends a lot of time on his family's laps. I guess that's because he is a friendly kitty.

How many sims does it take to feed fish?

Introducing...Cameron Winterly, the newest member of the family. He is Athletic and Artistic. Interesting combination of traits.

Let's see what Cameron looks like, shall we? Good grief! There's so many sims around him it's difficult to see him. And...since I forgot to take a birthday pic...we'll have to wait to see his features.

Daddy Christian teaches Cameron to walk and Mommy Alana teaches him to talk. Everyone else pitches in on the potty training. I just can't bring myself to take a picture of that :P

This is what happens when too many sims feed a baby at the same time. I had to use the delete object cheat to get rid of the bottle, since there was a bowl of gruel and three bottles there to begin with.

Sunny found a nice warm place to sleep.

I hope he had sweet dreams because right after that...

Georgie needed some special attention after losing his buddy.

Evan finally achieved his Lifetime Wish. Talk about waiting until the last minute! He is 86. I let him retire to enjoy his last few days.

Do you think that Cameron can really see the tv through the couch and sims?

Little Cameron becomes a child with a lot of fanfare from his loving family. He rolls the Bookworm trait. I had to trade his buzz cut hairstyle for something a bit more flattering.

That's all for this time. See you next post.

I am really enjoying reading your story.  How many sims does it take to feed a fish, makes me thing of the light bulb joke I have heard.  Corny but cute.

It is sad when a pet is lost, even when it is a sim pet.

I am so happy that the Winterlys are back!! Not only have I missed reading their adventures but the fact that they are back means you must be feeling better!! I'm going to "Mother Hen" you along with Janna though; please don't push yourself too hard! Then again, if you're anything like me, getting back into a normal routine probably helps more than it hurts. I can't stand to be inactive.  :-\

As for the updates themselves, I am disappointed that the Greenboos have faded out but I LOVE their new Octagon house! It's so creative and visually stunning. I wish I had the patience & skill to build a house like that. I'm looking forward to meeting Alana's baby and seeing which side of the family she/he takes after....

Thank you, Janna, sammymcgoff and Blayzen! Blayzen, I'm glad I'm feeling better too. I really hated that "bed rest" thing.

The Winterlys are back on track...mostly. They did slip a surprise in on me though.

I've been reading this story for awhile and I really enjoy it! I love watching the townie genetics combine and I love all the greenboos! Too bad they died out  :(

Another birthday. This one is for Georgie's Elder birthday.

Yet another birthday. This one for Bennett. He becomes a Young Adult and moves out to make his own way in sim-world.

It's so sweet to see elders being romantic with each other.

Leisure Day means fun in the sun.

We've lost a family member. Clara left with Grim at age 90. We're down to six sims and one pet now. And Evan won't be far behind her I'm sure. :(

This is Adriane Louie. She's the daughter of Pax and Louisa Louie. She's athletic, artistic and over-emotional. A good match for Cameron, don't you think?

Evan, at age 93, had his appointment with Grim. Alana did her fainting trick...four times. Grim decided to stay and visit for a while and she just couldn't handle it. Every time she woke up he was still there. The poor sim was totally traumatized.

Cameron became a teen the day after Evan died. He is certainly an odd looking boy, isn't he? And that hair...or lack thereof. I'll let him keep it since he's athletic and gained the disciplined trait on his birthday. It looks like athlete hair...LOL I'm pretty sure his Lifetime Wish is going to be Physical Perfection.

It's time for Cameron to learn how to drive. He got a wish to skip school so he is learning to drive instead of going to school. Sarah looks a little scared.

Sarah is almost at level 9 of the athletic skill. I never have to tell her to exercise...it's one of her favorite things.

Antonio got abducted by aliens. That's what his curiosity gets him. I hope he doesn't get pregnant. I said there was only going to be one nooboo for this generation.

This is Adrianne Louie. She came to visit in her swimming suit. I think this might mean that she's insane. Oh joy!

Anyway, she has become Cameron's girlfriend so we will have to deal with whatever she is. And, yes. She is insane. At least she won't be boring!

Oh no! Antonio has had an "unexplained weight gain." We all know what that means, right? Alien nooboo incoming. (I learned this from my Loving Legacy family.) No more nooboos for this town? Ha! The best laid plans of the watcher go up in smoke! Yes, as you can see, there really is an alien nooboo on the way. I guess it's appropriate for Lunar Lakes, right?

Zeta Winterly has arrived. It will be interesting to see how she differs from Erek Loving as she grows up. No, she will not be an heir even though she is kind of green ;)

Here is little miss Zeta as a toddler. She's definitely an alien!

That's all for this time. Thank you for reading!

Enjoyed the update, it is sad that we can't use the alien babies, but it definitely would mess up the genetic aspect of the game. Still, they are so cute.

I have the one from a Monte Vista seed family and I am hoping that I can save her to use in a non-project game.  She has become a friend of Heath's, so she comes around for a visit.
