The Winterly Random Town Jump - Complete
« on: February 04, 2013, 01:57:10 PM »
Here we go! Another Random Town Jump that I will (not) be writing. It will be in my normal narrative style...since that seems to be the limit of my writing ability.

Anyway, we start with the first town, Hidden Springs, and Peter and Adele Winterly. They already have a son, Charles. Of course they will need to get to work immediately on a nooboo to provide an heir.

Here is the Winterly's house. It's pretty nice, isn't it? It will be a change to start with a family that is not dirt poor, like my Crosby family.

Front:

1st Floor:

2nd Floor:

Peter Winterly: Workaholic, Handy, Clumsy, Charismatic, Computer Whiz. CEO OF A MEGA CORPORATION. He starts at Level 7

Adele Winterly: Neurotic, Vegetarian, Family-Oriented, Green Thumb, Friendly. SURROUNDED BY FAMILY. I don't think so. She is already 12 days to Elder so there won't be enough time for all those kids. Plus I remember the trouble I had in Hidden Springs with that LTW before. No thank you! Since the family starts out with a hefty 145,000 Simoleans, she will quit her job in the military and stay home to take care of the house. She will (eventually) change her Lifetime Wish to CULINARY LIBRARIAN.

Charles Winterly: Loner, Excitable, Bookworm, Ambitious. Charles will be moving out as soon as he is old enough and will not be moving to the next town.

And, we have successful chimes.

So, the first thing after nooboo trying is to send Adele to cooking class. She's not a natural cook and will need all the help she can get. She will be doing a lot of reading!

Peter has a terrible relationship with his boss so he will try to suck up to him even though it means a drop in his job performance at first. He also needs to attend a lot of meetings. His first day sucking up gained him a friendship with his boss. It must be his charisma trait?

Good grief! I almost forgot to pay the bills! That would not be a good thing!

Adele is back to reading: recipes and Cooking Volume 2

Adele went to the park to do some socializing but didn't get to talk much because she went into labor.

This is Patrick Winterly, who will lead the family to the next town. He rolled the Lifetime Wish of Becoming an Astronaut. His traits are Athletic and Brave.

Oh.....

And.....

Penelope Winterly. She rolled traits of Athletic and Perceptive. I didn't do anything to produce twins! What a surprise! And, I haven't even bought one crib yet, much less two!

Time to build a quick nursery for the twins!

Yay! More Judewright Town Jumps! Peter's quite handsome, actually, as is Charles. I have a feeling Patrick and Penelope will follow in their footsteps. I don't have Hidden Springs, so I'll be reading with fresh eyes. (That metaphor made no sense, but know that I mean it sympathetically)

Welcome back to Hidden Springs.

It looks like Charles is going to come in handy. Mom and Dad went to bed without feeding and changing the twins so Charles took over. I guess they were so shocked at having twins that it tired them right out.

The Winterly's first burglar. She ran away before the cop got there. She was the first of many I'm sure. Burglars are one of my least favorite things about the Sims game. So disruptive...grrr!

Peter has already reached his Lifetime Wish on Week 1, Day 6. That was pretty quick!

The twins aged up to toddler. I don't know about you, but I think they are just too cute!

Mom and Dad start twin training right away. First walking...

Then talking...

Then...well, we don't need to see that.

Adele is doing well on her cooking skill. She's at Level 6. She has learned 27 recipes.

And, the twins are just busy growing.

Oh, and Adele just learned her 28th recipe to complete her Lifetime Wish. That's not very many recipes is it, in comparison to how many recipes there actually are?

Peter has already aged up to elder. Adele is only one day behind him. I hope that they will live long enough for the twins to grow up. I wonder if I should keep Charles living in the house until they become teens. His birthday is tomorrow too. Just two more days until Patrick and Penelope are children. Decisions, decisions.

Charles has his Young Adult birthday. He doesn't even have a romantic interest. Poor guy. He is taking after his father and going into the Business career.

Now it's Adele's turn to age up.

Patrick and Penelope had their child birthdays. Patrick rolled the Genius trait and Penelope gained the Never Nude trait. Now, I had better get busy and do some redecorating. Sell the cribs and buy beds.

Charles is trying to get a girlfriend. He has been flirting with Sidney Shawke. Since they were already friends from school, it's going quite well. You go, Charles!

The next day, thankfully a Sunday, Charles wooed and wed Sidney. He moved into her house after the private wedding.

Great story Jude!! I vote for keeping Charles too.  He'd be good help for the twins. And it'd be nice to see how his life turns out too. :)

Whoops, I can't believe I forgot to post on this story earlier! Hooray for more Jude stories! The twins are simply adorable, although it's a shame neither parent looks much like Charles (he's rather handsome).  ;)

I just read your previous Town Jump and I'm really looking forward to following this one :) I love your writing style, the whole narrative thing is my favourite I think. I'm looking forward to seeing the mix of genes.
From the moment I fell down that rabbit hole I've been told what I must do and who I must be. I've been shrunk, stretched, scratched and stuffed into a teapot. I've been accused of being Alice, and of not being Alice, but this is my dream. I'll decide where it goes from here.

Hidden Springs really is a beautiful town. It's too bad that it has such a serious lag problem. At least it has in most of my games :(

Patrick is learning his logic skill, even though he won't need it for his future career of Astronaut. I guess a little logic never hurts.

Peter has reached Level 10 of the Business career so now he can retire. They don't have to worry about earning money at this point so why work?

Okay, now we just are just doing the normal childhood stuff...homework, eating, sleeping and playing. This is pretty repetitive, therefore, pretty boring. I'm curious to see how the kids will look as teens. That is still three days away.

Why do kids always sit on the floor to do their homework when there's a perfectly good table and chairs nearby?

Burglar number two. Actually, number one who came back. Burglars are so stupid. You'd think they'd remember that there's an alarm in the house.

Twin teens. I can just see all of the pranks that are going to be set. Wait. That was another story.

Here are their official teen pictures:

Patrick rolled the Absent Minded trait and Penelope is now a Dog Person.

Once both birthdays are over, Patrick heads straight for the stereo to work out. It's good that he's getting a head start on his athletic skill. He will need it for his military career.

Peter and Adele are 83 and 82. Hopefully, they will be around for a while yet.

Adele just loves this...whatever it is. She spends much of her time playing with it.

Wow! Look at that rainbow! First time I've seen one while it was snowing.

The family decided to celebrate the twins' birthdays by having dinner at the Bistro. The elders were going a little stir crazy.

Betty Earthsong is Patrick's friend from elementary school. I think she might be the mother of the next generation. A green wife? Could be interesting.

Going to the Prom can sure be eventful! Both Patrick and Penelope had fights, became King/Queen and became romantically interested in someone. Patrick with Betty Earthsong (Yay!) and Penelope with Jack Al Fahad. All in all a successful night!

Peter and Adele are still in love.

The Winterly's go to Spring Festival. Selling the eggs that were found gave them quite a bit of spare change.

Here's that loving couple again. This time, they're slow dancing. I didn't get a picture of it but Peter stepped on Adele's foot. I'm sure it was his clumsy trait kicking in...so to speak.

New to your stories but definitely happy I checked this one out! I love your approach to letting the reader know what's happening! Can't wait to see the next (potentially green) generation...  :D
