I had a similar "fun" event today, and in my case that was the only good thing of my game stopping before I could save it.
My toddler and the nooboo both had their aging up on the same day.  And dad was going to be at work when they celebrate.
What happens?  Triggered aging up, but all the adults leave the room except dad watching and then he had to dash off for an emergency.  Ten seconds later, the game stops and I lose a whole of stuff that I didn't save.  After yesterday of forgetting to not save and losing the whole play time, you'd think I would have learned.

Anyhow, I am really enjoying the story, looking forward to the next chapter

I have to say, I find it somewhat suspicious that you managed to have two fires in the same update! The only other time I can remember seeing that happen is when...HEY! are you sure that A. hasn't been story-hopping? Maybe The Mole isn't keeping him as busy as it should...

Other than that - I love that we met Zara & Chuck's nooboo! Looking forward to the jump... ;)

Aw, the little traitless nooboo.  Poor thing.  I love this story so far!

Unfortunately for Zaahira, I completely forgot to actually give her traits once I was able to use Edit in CAS before Zelda hopped off. I still have the old file before the move, so I could find out, I suppose.

I'm glad that I could give you a good laugh.  :D

A. swears up and down that he had nothing to do with the fires. I can't say I entirely believe him, though, considering what Zelda's been up to...

The Last Update

I've decided that I don't like Graduations. Oh sure, they're nice enough in real life, but all they really do in the Sims is interrupt our regularly scheduled programming. If not for Graduations, Mia would've achieved her Lifetime Wish before we moved. (She missed it by one day) Anyway, Zander graduated as Valedictorian like her sister, as well as Most Likely to Save the World.

With Science! Since Zander's Lifetime Wish is Creature-Robot-Cross-Breeder, I signed him up for a job at the Science Center. Hopefully he'll do well in the field, especially since he is most assuredly not succeeding in the field of fashion. What's he supposed to be anyway, a Horse Jockey?

Chuck, Zara, and Zaahira continue the proud family tradition of being late for a relative's graduation. Zander didn't mind, and neither did I.

Since Zelda's career (Magician, for those of who were wondering) can't be worked on in the Teen years, Zelda is more or less left to her own devices, hence why she doesn't show up much despite being the heir. Taking advantage of the autumn weather, Zelda plays around in the leaves.

Eventually, she decides she's tired of playing outside, and promptly sets the leaves on fire. That's a good girl!

Ordinarily, leaving a baby on the cold wooden floor wouldn't exactly be the best form of parenting, or grandparenting in Roger's case. For Sims, though, that's a sure sign of an incoming birthday!

Poor Zaahira aged up with that ugly green-brown hair colour that occasionally pops up, so I used my Watcher powers to intervene. I would've gone with Chuck's hair, but she looks so much like Chuck anyway that I re-used Zara's. She's a cute little nooboo, isn't she?

Not so cute little nooboo.

Tiny little hearts floating above a pile of leaves. I think we all know what that means. What a curious location for Zara and Chuck to be WooHooing in. I wonder how they're do-

Wait, that's you in there, Roger? Way to keep your marriage alive, man.

As it turns out, maids will rake up leaves that fall on your lot. No wonder she's there almost all day.

As well as Roger may be doing in his love life, he's not fairing so well in electrical repair. In hindsight, trying to repair a dishwasher in a puddle of water probably isn't the best idea. Immediately after that accident, Roger pops a wish to, "Sell Dishwasher." Tired of dealing with all the repairs, I oblige.

Since Zelda doesn't really have anything better to do, she's the one that teaches Zaahira her life skills. Here she gifts her niece with the power of bipedal transportation.

Unfortunately, Zaahira has not learned of any form of verbalized communication other than incessant wailing. Lessons in other varieties of verbalized communication have been examined by the surrounding relatives.

I noticed one day that Zelda's targeted spouse has recently gone off and gotten engaged to some bland-faced townie. I briefly consider switching my target to Moe Pesce, but re-consider for a number of reasons. First, he looks a good deal like Roger, and I want a bit more genetic diversity. Second, he is also married, (albeit to an original townie) so marrying him because the previous target is engaged is more than a tad hypocritical. Third, and perhaps most importantly, we cannot let the bland-faced townies beat us into submission. If Zelda wants to marry an original townie, Zelda will marry one, gosh darn it!

Zelda's birthday comes up the next day, so I buy her a birthday cake to celebrate. I wouldn't normally bother, but since it's the last birthday of Barnacle Bay, I figured I'd make it special. On that note, I'm afraid I'll have to admit something else. Remember how I said this would be the last update in Barnacle Bay?

I lied.

Roger popping up from the pile of leaves cracked me up. He looks stunned. :)

It'll be exciting to see where the Rao's are heading.

Mia popped out a few seconds later with that exact same face. I guess they didn't realize I was watching them.  ;D

The Move

Clearly, Zelda needs a little bit of time to sort out her wardrobe. While she does that, you can appreciate the striped pattern on Roger's bathrobe as he walks away.

It's not too long before she's back to her normal self. She rolled Technophobe as her last trait. Aside from my wondering if that might interfere with her Magician career, it does give me an idea for her characterization. I'm now kind of seeing her as a wannabe fairy who wants to go to Moonlight Falls to gain magic Fae powers.

Accordingly, I give her some fairy-esque clothes. Her formalwear (which we might not see for a while) is actually the PlantSim clothes. It definitely gives Zelda her own style, though I wonder what she could wear as an Elder. I don't think those clothes carry over into that Life State.  :-\

Anyway, my second targeted spouse (after Kidd Goldbeard, who caught some weird aging bug and then moved out) is Phillip Annan, who starts the game as a Teenager. Therefore, he's much older than Zelda, and should be about halfway through his Adult life stage by now. Fortunately, he's a vampire, so he's still young. Unfortunately, his courtship takes three days, for a couple of reasons. One, he's a celebrity, and apparently teens can't try to impress Celebrities. Two, he's a cook, so he's only available for a few hours a day. Third, he's engaged, so I have to waste time getting him to break off that relationship. While we wait for Zelda to get this all squared away, we can check out what the rest of the family is up to.

Now that Zelda actually has stuff to do, Chuck finally gets to do some parenting of his own. Zaahira is evidently not happy with this development.

Roger enjoys the winter weather by making some snowmen, which the paparazzi promptly destroy a day or two later.

And with her fifth masterpiece complete, Zara manages to SuperMax painting without actually reaching level 10. Painting isn't all that hard to SuperMax, especially when it's your fourth time doing it. Still, congratulations to Zara.

On the second day, Zelda manages to propose to Phillip. I have the Private Wedding queued up right after that... and he has to go to work. Zelda was not amused. She's in her graduation robes because she skipped out on going to City Hall, but still got dressed and threw her diploma. I'm not quite sure what she was doing, to be honest. Anyway, more family matters.

Zelda still seems quite happy about her engagement, so she decides to make some snow angels. After knocking down another snowman. I think that one was made by a paparazzi or something.

Zaahira couldn't care less about all these romantic troubles. She's tired, and wants to sleep. (Still traitless, I'm afraid. I never remembered to roll her any before the move.)

Most Sims would be rather frightened if they saw a zombie right in front of them. What does Zelda do? She yawns in his face! That's some true bravery there. She tries inviting Phillip over afterwards, trying to get married, but for some reason he, "doesn't feel like coming over." This merits further investigation.

As it turns out, the Annan household had been invaded by ghosts! I didn't even know that this could happen when you're not playing a Ghostbuster. (I forget the actual career, but let's not kid ourselves. They're Ghostbusters.) Unfortunately for the Annans, the Ghostbuster they hired seems to be completely incompetent, choosing to just stand at the door like a fool.

None of this prevents the lovely private wedding of Zelda Rao and Phillip Annan. It's at the point where he moves in that I realize he's somehow Immortal. It's not like he has that Lifetime Reward or anything. I'm going to cure him, then. After I get a vampire nooboo or two, of course. Not long after the wedding, Zelda, Zander, Phillip, Roger, and Mia leave to explore the next town. We'll check them out in the next update. For now, I have two makeovers to show you. One is Phillip, and the other is a surprise.

I will admit that his hair colour was his primary appeal. I have no idea where I've seen hair like that before. *innocent whistle* I can't seem to escape from small eyes, though. Phillip and the Raos have really thin eyes, while Chuck's are just tiny.

This is the one I'm excited for. This is what Zaahira looks like as Young Adult. Her nose is definitely from Chuck, as well as perhaps her mouth. Eyes come from the Raos, as does the hair. Her skin is a pleasant mixture of the two, though leaning closer to Chuck. All in all, she looks great. I'm sure Zara, Chuck, and Zaahira will do fine in Barnacle Bay. I actually have a save file where I keep control of them instead of following the others to Moonlight Falls. I might pop in and show you what they're up to on occasion, or I might just let them live their lives in anonymity. Regardless, the next update will feature Moonlight Falls.

Phillip is giving me a good reason to explore Barnacle Bay. ;D I'm hoping the next baby Rao gets his hair. It's awesome!

Happy birthday to Zelda. She's stunning too. The plantsim outfit is indeed available for elders, so she'll never be without it.

Phillip is actually a handsome Sim. I may get my Simself to have kids with him when I next play in Barnacle Bay (once he's a YA, of course)
