Chapter 69: Autumn Days
Josh has the weekends off, so he takes care of little Maya while Kim practices her charisma and Mickey moves on to the guitar skill.
Josh: You're a much faster learner than Colin.
Maya: *giggles*
Despite Shirley's age, she's always on-call. She's stays up till one in the morning reading medical journals and publishing prognosis reports. Being a trauma surgeon is not something to take lightly.
Shirley: Actually, I've just been playing PlanetCoaster.
You just had to ruin for me, didn't you?
She holds vaccination clinics twice a week, and the same sims always show up. Even though they don't seem to enjoy it.
Shirley: Take a deep breath, this will hurt a lot.
Kitty Price: OW! Did you have to slam it into my arm?
Shirley: Yes. Now, for the other arm.
Kitty: What have I done to deserve this.
Despite Maya and the hospital controlling their elderly lives, Shirley and Josh still find time for each other.
Josh: Can you leave us alone?
Shirley: Yeah, seriously.
"Fine!"
Kim: OW! No photos please, I'm going into labor, dude!
"We need a screenshot of it."
Kim: Okay, but don't put that online!
"Well.."
Everyone meet Autumn Singh! An unstable girl with a good heart.
Now that Kim is on maternity leave, she takes a break from Charisma to teach Maya how to talk.
Kim: Can you say "Super PAC"?
Maya: Super macaroni and cheese.
Kim: Well, can you say..election?
Maya: Reflection.
To my surprise, Mickey puts down his guitar to spend some time with Autumn. Aw..
Mickey: Don't think twice, it's 'aight.
"I don't think Autumn can understand music-"
Autumn: ..and it ain't no use a-turning your light on babe!
Mickey: I have taught her well.
"I stand corrected."
Colin ages up to teen and goes to school with Maggie.
Colin: High school is fun, right? I mean, you and Cricket do love each other..
Maggie: High school is the worst thing ever.
Colin: Oh, great.
Colin seems to adapt to high school nicely. He makes good grades, and even joins a club. He also makes many friends.
Colin: Sorry Yuna, I can't go to your party tonight. I'm already holding my own.
Colin invites his longtime friend and former papergirl, Simone Hamilton on a date.
Colin: You won't age up before prom, right?
Simone: I'm an NPC, do you think I have any control over that?
Colin: Well-
Zahra: Hey everyone! Watch me break my wrists! See, it looks so cool-OW! That hurt! Where's Shirley Singh? I need a doctor.
Simone: Um, did anyone see that?
Colin: Simone..I think I love you.
Simone: Thanks but, that lady-
*smooch*
Simone: Aw, I love you too!
Zahra: Hey, can someone please help my wrists? I can't move them, and they’re making a strange buzzing noise.
Mickey throws a costume party.
Pansy Northrop: Ha! I'm the prettiest fairy at the party!
Emi: She stole my look. She's dead to me.
Lola Lancaster: Hey everyone!
Pansy: Ha! Emi is just jealous that I pull it off better than her. It looks like that husband of hers is looking my way..
Emi: Why, you little-OHMIGOSH it’s Mickey Singh!
Emi decides to ask Mickey for an autograph, even though they are already friends.
Emi: OMG! This will be worth millions!
Mickey: You're literally my neighbor, Emi. I see you everyday.
Emi: OMG! OMG! I’m going to hang this on my wall.
Autumn ages to toddler and inherits Kim's hair color (originally from Monika Morris). She seems to take entirely after her mother.
Maggie: Bottle time!
Autumn: Sorry, I'm vegan.
Maggie: That doesn't have anything animal-related in it.
Autumn: I'm not taking any chances.
Maggie: That makes no sense.
Maggie is finally a young adult!
Maggie: Nice shirt, but where did my pants go?
“Let’s get you to dresser.”
She’s basically Shirley as a brunette. Maggie adds the nurturing trait to the mix.
Maggie moves out of the Motel and into a quaint house with her girlfriend Cricket Irwin.
Shortly after Maggie leaves, I get a pop-up saying that she's engaged to Cricket. Maya then ages up on the nursery floor.
Maya gains the excitable trait- something that looks creepy on child sims.
Maya: OHMIGOSH! Look how big my eyes can get!
*screams*
Maya: I will use my charm to get boys!
This is Dwayne Irwin, the son of Emi and Richard Irwin. Maya invites him over after school.
Almost all of the pre-made pregnant sims at the start of the game (Lina Lancaster, Lola Lancaster, Yolanda Shaw, Aya Tanner, Kinslee Hudson, Zahra Diwan, Emi Irwin, etc.) had male children. This is excellent for Autumn and Maya, I can't decide who the heir is yet.
Maya: Hello Dwayne, why don't you look into my eyes?
Dwayne: Huh?
Maya: Yes..that's it..look into my beautiful eyes..
Dwayne: You're starting to creep me out.
Maya: Aw, my sweet Dwayne. Don't be silly.
Dwayne: Yeah, I'm leaving.
Maya: Wait, Dwayne! You never told me your zodiac sign!
Since Maya's endeavors with Dwayne were a failure, she sets her sights on Jared Lancaster (Lola Lancaster's son). She invites him over to do homework together.
Maya: So Jared, do you like math?
Jared: Nope.
Maya: Me neither, in fact, the only number I care about is yours. *winks*
Jared: Bye!
Another failure for Maya.
Autumn is flowing through her toddler skills very nicely. I really like her hair color, it's very unique.
Autumn: This is gluten free, right?
Between keeping up with Autumn's dietary needs and Maya's constant playdates, Kim and Mickey rarely find time for one another.
Kim: Yo, I was thinking, it would look good on my campaign if I had another kid so-
Mickey: No, bad things always happen in threes.
Kim: Whatever man.
