I really liked this challenge it was very fun and had me doing things I have never done before but due to several crashes I will not be able to completely finish. I did testing and had 4 pages full of memories I could get but my kids lost my papers just before I started the challenge but I decided to go for it anyways even though I was very discouraged by that. Then while played my game crashed every 30 min or so and I was getting quite frustrated by that as well so I decided to call it quits but I know I could have done much better and I did really enjoy this one. It is now one of my favorites. I got to about Week 2 Day 3 or so.

I had a lot of fun with this challenge and got to try out many aspects of the game that I had never experienced before!  Unfortunately, it was slow going and I only managed to get to Week 5, Day 2.  Oh well, I still enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to the next ones.  My final score is:

Justina Moment (Sim 1) - 80 Unique Memories
Precious Moment (Sim 2) - 31 Unique Memories
Kodak Moment (Pet) - 18 Unique Memories

For a "not-so-grand" total of:  129

Hope you all had fun too.  See you on the next challenge!

Considering I had to restart with one week to go about 5 days and 2 hours ago due to a game crushing bug.  I'm just happy to be done this thing.

I'm very happy to remove memories from my Sim lives forever.

With less than half an hour until the end of the day (CST), I guess it's time to accept that I won't be able to finish this challenge.

At Week 7, Day 5, with 4 vacation days remaining:
Memra has 236 unique memories
Her son Remy has 192
and Crimson the horse has 24

Total Score:  452

This was a fun challenge, and I usually play with memories off, so it added a new element for me.
I enjoyed it, but now I'll be turning memories off for awhile.    :D

Same for me.  I ran out of time to finish and only made it to week 3, day 2.  I started very late because of too much craziness in my personal life this month.  Would it be possible to mark my score with "ran out of time" on the leader board?

Sim 1 - 68
Sim 2 - 2
Pet - 5

Total - 75

Well great job everyone. This challenge is now a distant memory *groans at the bad pun* :) I know I had fun. Personally I really had no strategy at all for my own effort...I just winged it and tried to do as many different things as possible to fire off the memories for the scrapbook, so we'll have to see what the heavy hitters say in their discussion hopefully later today.

I am so proud of Rica! She finally bagged a win. Woot. *jumps up and down and waves pom poms* Okay that is a scary image...let's lose that one. Lol. Seriously, she has been doing the Tournament for a long time and it's great to see her on top after this long. Great job to all participants. Well done.

Congratulations to everyone who submitted a score!

I have to say this challenge was tough because it didn't seem to matter how many corners of the internet I looked there wasn't really a good list of memories out there so I read forum threads about memories people had seen but most of them just talked about how they had turned off notifications.

After some serious testing, I made up a spreadsheet of things to go for and try.   I turned down every single graphics option there was and loaded up Union Cove since it has everything.   I had my female Sim get married to a celebrity within 48 hours.  By the time the marriage was over, she was a 5 star celebrity and so was he.  She was also pregnant.  I made sure to do every step that came with Generations by having a bachelor party and asking sims to toast.  Sprayed every guest with nectar.  From there I made sure the founder had triplets.   This way between the husband and the extra kids I was able to experiment with different skills and activities while working on the two sims.  About halfway through the challenge I got the ability to adopt the unicorn so went for it.   That's when I figured out that unicorns come with more memories because of their abilities.

The real challenge was finding enough for the teenager since the mom was able to Woohoo in several locations that the teen never could.  Not to mention doing certain careers.  Although for the most part my memory maker stayed at home making memories instead of working.   It wasn't until the last two weeks I even thought about it.

One of the keys to most of my success was using potions to stay happy & awake.  Dried food and shower cans to be clean and fed plus all the LTRs to reduce the frequency of such events.  Not to mention the motive mobile and a moodlet manager.  Sometimes I was too busy to mess with them so the potions and everything really served as a quick backup I could add to the queues.

I can't think of anything else right now but I want to include my spreadsheet.  As I was doing it, I placed X's everywhere but I changed it to 1's to link it.  I also removed all the ones that I didn't get to finish.   At one point, the spreadsheet was somewhere near 410 rows long.    Keeping organized with it meant that I could change the color of the lines that were complete and get a quick visual or ones left to get that I already knew about.

Great score, Rica! And thanks for including your spreadsheet. It's definitely more comprehensive than the one on SimsWiki (which has quite a few holes and includes some things that either aren't memories or a duplicate).

Yeah the SimsWiki one was good for getting ideas but it wasn't one to follow at all.  I think as expansions have come out some of them may have changed.   I found some harder to get.    I'd get them in the testing file but when I did the same thing in the actual file it would never pop.  Even though this one was shorter than the usual long ones as it was only 8 weeks, it felt longer because I was constantly checking the memory book to see if I needed to delete any.   I was mad originally when so many came through as being repeats.  Mastering riding is not the same as mastering photography I don't care who says that.  ;D

Congrats Rica, I just looked at your spreadsheet and did much forehead slapping, lots on there that didn't occur to me at the time.
