Earlier in the thread, it was stated that time machine children result in a failure.

When the rules say you can't buy gnomes with money, such as from the consignment store, does this mean at all? For example if I'm buying out all the items and one pops up must I leave it, or can I buy but then sell it straight away?
From the moment I fell down that rabbit hole I've been told what I must do and who I must be. I've been shrunk, stretched, scratched and stuffed into a teapot. I've been accused of being Alice, and of not being Alice, but this is my dream. I'll decide where it goes from here.

Just do not even buy them in the first place.

What a gnomesensical challenge!  I had a tough time with this one.

Missy Gnomer had the following score:
5 unique gnomes/RIs:  5000
9 days (0 vacation): -2250
Total:  2750

Not horrid, but hardly inspiring!  Thanks again to LenaLJ for the useful spreadsheet.

Thanks for clarifying. Off to find some gnomes :)

My game crashed. Should I load from last save or post the score at that point?

Some amazing results posted already. Well done, folks!

 I have tried a couple of practices, but they have not gone well.  :(  I find this one quite stressful and get easily distracted either on daily tasks or irrelevant skills.  And then there's the unique romantic interests ...

Today then I will commit and start the competition file, but don't worry, I'm not much competition!

Good luck everyone.  :)

12 Romantic Interests=12000
37 Days including University and vacation=9250
Total=2750

Unfortunately I did better on my practice run :P but it was fun trying to find all the gnomes again.
