I'm planning on whacking out this challenge today in one big marathon play session  (before Uni and while my granddaughter is here watching the 10 Goosebump episodes on the DVR, LOL.)   But I had a question concerning something I ran into during my test run.   We can only add to the household via the RI-Gnome exchange.... but what do we do if say ... your sim wakes up one morning to find a strange child suddenly living in the house??  LOL

What kind of child?  Was it a time machine child?  Anyone added to the household that's not a RI means failure.

Yes, Time Machine. During my trial run hoping for the Caveman looking Gnome I had my sim use it a few times.. next thing I know there is a child in the house.  So time machine offspring = fail.

Stayed up all night to get this one done. After many tests, this is what i will stand with.

8 days + 1 vacation day = 9 days = (-2250)
4 RIs/ 4 Gnomes =(+4000)
4000 - 2250 = 1750

Wait, I'm confused. Do all the gnomes we give to the RI have to be unique?

Each unique R.I. has to receive a unique gnome. So once you've given someone Mysterious Mr. Gnome, you can't give that type of gnome to anyone else.

I have loved playing this today and considering I didn't practice I think I have done pretty well.

Unique gnomes given to unique romatic interests equals 17. Score of 17000
Total number of days taken 25 mult by 250 equals 6250

Total score of 10750.

Ok, I wish all of you who are doing this challenge the best of luck and I'm opting out and moving on to other things.  For me, I feel it is against what I personally would do in real life as it feels unethical to deliberately snare someone's feelings then dump them.  I know, it's silly being as how it's just a game, but it was just getting too uncomfortable for me.  I'll be watching this thread to see how you all are doing and I hope you have fun with it.  Meanwhile, the gnome aspect of it snagged my interest enough that I'm doing research into gnomes and with Carl's approval am going to write an article for the guide.
