No longer able to fish?!

My main sim is a teenager who has mastered fishing.  All of the sudden she can no longer fish anywhere!  Not even in the pond in her own backyard.  Dad can fish, but she cannot.  Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?  I have had this problem the last few times I have played in the last few days.  Thanks!
