Redemption Island Wedding Grounds
Lot: 17x40 Small Park

By lack of a better name...

For that dream day, the most romantic wedding to last a life time. Soft pastels all over to ensure that every tear shed is one of emotion, not because the surroundings hurt the eyes. The table is served at your convenience... There's food, a playground for both small and big... and even a hot tub to distract your guests while the pair of you make out behind the hedge... or sneak of to 'turn in early'. Rose vines flank our wedding arch for that extra touch of gentle romance.

Citrus Peel Residence (Or... The gardener's abode)
Ready for a couple which is expecting its very first child... with everything young Citrus could hope for. No longer would he have to share the sculpturing station... or fight for possession of the easels back at the mansion. Gabriel didn't add a playground... because he wanted to give Citrus and Mary reason to keep visiting the manor once their child is born.

The outside looks a bit like a smaller version of the mansion itself, but Gabriel has given thought to the wants and needs of the couple while furnishing the place. Hot pinks and yellow are everywhere...

Price tag: 69.776 simoleons, furnished. 45.030 unfurnished. (The household had 74.596 available at the time Gabriel started the house... and he set a limit of 70K to build and furnish the new home of his best friend.)

Lot: 20x30 Residential. The lot ends in a hill.

EP/SP: All EPs (all plants in regular EPs up to University are included)
EA store items: Kushy Tushy Dining Chair (WA registration pack), Solace Snugabunny Deluxe Baby Swing.

Redemption Spa
Lot: 20x15 Community lot

Even though the Spa looks like a two story building, only the ground floor is accessible. There's a reception desk, a bathroom and a sitting area/waiting room available on the ground floor.

This was the first of the rabbit holes I actually started furnishing instead of just decorating in front of the windows (as still shown in the Military base). The others were all furnished afterwards, though the version in my game has been updated to the furnished versions as well. All rabbit holes starting here have been furnished at the time of their initial build. (Though... I've had to correct a few of them for inaccessible stairs and the like after sending someone in.)

Maybe you could make the spa a salon as well. On the second floor add tattooing and makeover stations. And Citrus' house is a real yowza! How bright and beautiful!

I would... but I've planned for a salon in the same district <.<. For a moment, I thought about adding a hot tub, but decided against it in the end. That wouldn't work because of everything on the lower floor anyway.

One of the things I've learned with Gabriel's challenge: some of the non-rabbit hole buildings are very appropriate to be put above rabbit holes <.<. A gym above the Military Base, a salon above the spa. (Right now, there's a mini-gym at the military base... and there's two more gyms planned on the island. And a dojo.) I don't know whether they'll actually count for both in the game though. I know you can combine rabbit holes (though there's none of that going on in Redemption Island either), but I'm not too sure about combining rabbit holes with non-rabbit holes. Guess I'll have to try it out.

My next world-project will build on all I've learned with Redemption Island though. I'm already gathering some ideas for it on the side.

And thanks :). I guess it shows I don't want 'my' boys to live in small crowded homes <.<.

Angel Hill Stablemaster
The third and biggest of the three 'servant' lots, the Stablemaster's house has room to sleep 4, though the bed rooms are only meant to sleep in. Most of the life of those residing here would most likely be spend outside.

There is enough room to house 7 horses, 5 dogs and a few cats (which, of course, isn't going to happen in a game, but this place would house the dogs and horses of the manor, so it makes sense to have that many.)

There are two actual horse stalls available for mares with foals... Cats, of course, would be expected to sleep with the hay, so they can keep the vermin out. (Just... don't tell my own three that I actually wrote that. They prefer to sleep on the bed or on the couch, thank you very much. Though they also love their cat condo.)
The stables have gained a floor from the version in the story because the horses couldn't get into them.

Lot: Residential, 64x40
EP/SP: Pets, Late Night, Seasons, University.

Jake and his younger wife Helga brought their two teenage girls, their horses and faithful dog Dolce to Redemption Island in an attempt to start a new line of horse breeding. This family isn't looking for redemption or a place to hide, but for a presently untapped new market for their own horses.
According to Jake, this new frontier may just be the thing to start the family of for life. Of course, if his daughters also happen to find love and happiness on the island, he will be even happier of the move.

Angel Hill Performance Park
As you can plainly see from the layout of Angel Hill, this lot was intended as a private lot for the inhabitants of Angel Hill to have their outdoor parties. Thanks to the subway station, Sims from all over the island can easily come and visit, even the poorest amongst them. Considering Gabriel usually invites every member of the community, this wasn't exactly a vain luxury.

This is the place where Orange became a singer, though it's been covered in snow in the story from the time of its build.

Does your performer need a gig? Does your band love to perform for an audience? Looking for a nice show to watch or just some people to jam with? Chances are you'll find it over here.

Lot: Big Park, 64x40
EA store items: None.
EP/SP: Late Night, Showtime, Supernatural, Pets, World Adventures, Ambitions, University

I'm updating the buildings on Angel Hill for University now... and getting rid of custom content in the process. Thanks to University, the parking spot decorations can be removed. I'll see about updating the pics as well, especially since I'll need to put up the fishing spot and Orange's place anyway.

Since I also have to update the overview pics of the Hill, I'm going to replace the manor with the current one from the story as well. I'll also update the overview of the community centre, as the only part there that isn't in the story yet, is the book store... which will appear in the story in the next chapter anyway.

I don't know whether I can do that today though, my right arm is killing me. I already added a couple of extra pain-killer stickers, so maybe it'll work out.

Orange Peel Residance (Or... the gatehouse)
Lot: 20x30 Residential. The lot ends in a hill.

Mostly a mirror image to the Gardener's abode. Ready for a couple which is expecting its very first child... with everything young Orange could hope for. A chemistry table, as both he and Lucky have always been more interested in potions than  sculpting... and the ever-present easel. Of course, the inside is completely furnished in lilac and purple, the couple's favourite colours.

Because Orange has taken up cooking in his free time, Gabriel added an outside cooking and dining spot instead of Citrus' garden.

Angel Hill Fishing Grounds
The Manor's (extremely deep) fishing pool. If you're living in a mansion, you don't really want to go very far for a little fishing expedition, now do you?

And that's all for Angel Hill, which is now nearly complete. If someone in the house dies, the cemetery will be added... and I'll be sure to finish furnishing the manor at that time as well (though... maybe only in my build-saved game. Depends on Gabriel's cash flow, really. I will remove the garden from that lot before adding its description, as... that's what the gardener's abode is for, really.)

I think the additions to the community centre will have to wait for now though. I'd really like to get some play time in before my arm makes it impossible. (And it will. Nothing new there.)
