Einstein doesn't seem particularly interested in his wife. Poor Betty! Well, I guess that's not exactly a-typical for the wife of a genius, too busy with his lab!

They don't exactly have a perfect relationship- Einstein has never struck me as the good husband type, at least if the woman he's married to isn't quite on the same wavelength .  . .

Chapter 37: General relativity

To open this chapter, I present to you good people of the forum, the latest addition to the Scientia household-
Einstein: Mike!

Betabee: . . . or as he will more commonly be known, Faraday. (Thankyou for the interruption Einstein, we will be having words later.) A pioneer in the field of electromagnetism, Faraday was responsible for inventing the Dynamo as part of the first electricity generator; popularising terminology related to electromagnetism, including cathode, ion and Anode; and influenced the work of later scientists, including Albert Einstein and James Clark Maxwell. He delivered many chemistry lectures at the Royal Institution in the 19th century and helped popularise their christmas lectures which continue to this day.

Darwin: The sixth generation already . . . I remember when it was Franklin I held in my arms like this.

Pasteur: I wonder- what's your supermax going to be? What career will you choose? And most importantly- will you take after your father or not?

Speaking of Faraday's father- I recently got around to dragging Einstein away from the inventing table long enough to invest in the consignment store. I'm not selling anything there for now for fear of making it unusable later, but it's had the fetching statue treatment.

In other news, Dynamo's sparklefights have begun . . .

She seems to have her mother's build but her father's coat colours (mostly). Dynamo will probably be the last of the natural-born beagles for now- household space is tight, so I might resort to clone vouchers to keep the line (and the supply of clues) going until the end.

It was also time for Maxwell to become old.

He has sufficient white in his fur that he doesn't look that old- it seems he takes after his (however many greats) grandma swan. (I would like to do a family tree/genealogy post for the dogs at some point. Remind me when we get near the end!)

Betty: Isn't he such a sweet burrito?
Betabee: You do know I have to age him up in the next screenshot?

Betty: Yep. I wish that he's as cute a toddler as he is a burrito!
Betabee: Erm, it doesn't work like that . . .
Betty: I'm sure he'll appreciate it when he's older.

Yay! He's not a brunette like the last (5?) generations!

He has his father's colouring, but it looks like he got his mother's facial features. We'll know more for certain when he's a bit older.

And, for a change, he likes brown. Woot!

His different favourite colour happens to coincide with Jon's old room, so he'll probably inherit that room once he's old enough to sleep in a bed (and once I've removed the alchemy station- it's a skill I want a later generation to supermax). Therefore, as a lazy watcher I stole the wallpaper/flooring from there for Faraday's part of the museum.

Betty: Do you like our dogs? Can you say 'dog' for mummy?
Faraday: I absolutely love dogs, though I don't have the corresponding trait, since I believe the watcher probably wants me to save my trait slots for more useful traits like charismatic and the like. I think it's a bit silly we're restricted to having only two dogs at a time for now though- when I can get my own place I imagine I will have quite a few dogs, and puppies in abundance . . .

Faraday: But Darwin, I hadn't finished giving you a detailed analysis of my opinions on the design of the modern lightbulb-
Darwin: You need to sleep, Faraday. Stop talking.

Faraday: Why do I have to use such an uncivilised thing as an unplumbed toilet? I thought things would have improved by the 21st century, but no . . .

Luca: I sense you're going to be a talkative chap.
Faraday: Well, it makes sense really. It's one of the skills the household hasn't used yet, and since I was quite a popular chap in my time, I thought it would be a good supermax to achieve. Furthermore-
Luca: Yes, yes, I understand.

Faraday: I mean, what do you think of my attempts of chatting so far? I'm always a tad worried that I'm talking to you too fast, but then I wonder, how fast is too fast? Am I going car-fast, or bicycle-fast? It's hard to tell to be honest-
Luca: I don't think the speed is the issue- you articulate quite well. I think the-
Faraday: You really think so? I'm glad to hear it. Practicing my articulation with you is immensely enjoyable, especially as it means I get to spend time with you before you leave for greener pastures. How do you feel about it?

Faraday: Mummy, why aren't there properly plumbed toilets for minors? I mean, I know I can't use the toilets you use yet since I'm too small, but I'm sure it wouldn't be too much of an issue to set up the pipes. Could daddy design and make the correct parts on a smaller scale? I'm sure it's-
Betty: Faraday, you overthink these things. It's not practical for most homes since you won't be a small child for very long.

Faraday: Do you ever get the random and unnecessary fear of being left in your crib forever and never being able to leave? I know I do sometimes. MUMMY!

Faraday: Why do I have to learn to perambulate on two limbs rather than four? It's a far less stable position and can cause major problems with your back later in life-
Franklin: To phrase it in a way you may understand- It's more energy efficient. (Like not talking all the time).
Faraday: What was that last bit you said?
Franklin: Oh, nothing.

Pasteur: How is there ever going to be peace an quiet in the house again? He talks all the time!
Franklin: I'm not sure. Maybe he'll improve when he's got a wider variety of people to talk at.
Betabee: Hmm. . . I could suggest to him that becoming a politician would put his . . . talkativeness to good use.
Pasteur, Franklin: Excellent!

I'm very happy that he's nothing like the other scientists appearance-wise. He's going to be quite an interesting character to write, I think (especially if he keeps the babbling up!)

Chapter 38- Philosophić Naturalis Principia Mathematica

Since Newton is now nearing the age of immortality, it was time for his journey around town with a pocket full of potions. It's also the time for working out which townies are still alive and kicking after all this time . . .

Hal Breckenbridge seems to still be doing well. (Scurries away to retrieve list of potential generation 8 fathers.)

Maximus McDermott is still the consignment store clerk (and not dead, as happened in alternative chapter 12).

His brother Travis is also a vampire.

Newton: Erm, lady, would you mind being my best friend for a few weeks?
Rosemarie: I wouldn't mind doing more than that!

It was at this point that Newton decided he had enough best friends and beat a hasty retreat.

And so, onto the birthdays!

Newton: How bad is it?
Luca: Well, you didn't get the hairstyle the sparkles kept giving you for once.
Newton: (peeks at his clothing) Yeah, but I really need to visit a wardrobe. The sparkles have no taste whatsoever.

Though Luca didn't fare much better with the sparkles, the age-old 'ladies first' rule was implemented.

Luca makes such a sweet old lady. I tried to pay tribute to her former hair colour in some of her outfits this time around, though we're sticking with the pastels mostly.

Newton: It's so unfortunate that elderhood takes so much out of the physique. I'm positively weedy now!
Betabee: Look on the bright side- the reduced weight might be enough to persuade the military to let you be an astronaut! Lesser payload to send into space, right?
Newton: I'll just keep telling myself that . . .

Luca: And how's your day been, Faraday?
Faraday: It's been quite good, though I will be more satisfied when I am large enough to do a wider variety of activities. It will also be good to meet new people- I can't wait to be big enough to go to school! Do you think my classmates will like me?
Luca: I'm sure you'll be just fine, my dear little chatterbox.

In other news, we finally found the palladium for Einstein's simbot!
Forum: Yay!
But we don't have enough house space for Einstein to create (and then release) the simbot.
Forum: Boo!
We'll just have to wait for either Luca or Betty to move on. Then, before Faraday even considers a wife and daughter, the simbot will be created and moved out so Einstein can complete his supermax. In the meantime, he's back to the daily grind of making time machines for Simnation's secret service.

Newton's museum pieces were completed in record time. His only requirement left is maxing his career. An honorary degree in technology bought him a workaholic trait, though, so he should be done soon enough.

Faraday: Look! It's a flying sheep! I've always thought it makes more sense if sheep could fly rather than pigs, because they've got a nice wooly coat to deal with the lower temperatures up high in the atmosphere. What do you think?

Betabee: Ready for a bit of studying, dear?
Betty: Yep. It shouldn't take too long to learn enough for what we planned.
Betabee: That's my girl.

Betabee: How is the working from home going, Newton?
Newton: Pretty much done. The bar is about full.
Betabee: Good work. Go get some rest, dear. You'll want full needs before heading into work.

Faraday: Grandpa, why do you want to become an astronaut? From what I've heard, it's awfully cold up there. And there's the lack of air, the solar radiation,  . . .
Newton: Just because it's dangerous doesn't mean it isn't worth the exploration. Who knows? The future of humanity is probably in the stars.
Faraday: Hmm. I don't think it would be for me though- I mean, what if we meet Klingons? Or daleks?

Fortunately, Newton managed to pass his last important day at work without encountering any sci-fi enemies, and proceeded straight to the replicator upon returning home.

Betabee: How is it?
Newton: It's far better than food in space. Especially the consistency.

We're halfway through, folks!

Especially with the traditional dishwasher shot . . .

The Borg and the Dominion might be contenders too.  :)

I really like the screenshot of Luca and Faraday.

Congratulations on reaching the halfway!

They are so cute together, I think.

Thankyou for your support- this this further than I've ever got in this challenge, and I don't think I would have gotten this far without your help.  :D

Chapter 39: Return of the Scientists

Faraday: What on earth has kept you so long, Watcher? We haven't had a new chapter in ages! I've been stuck as a toddler far longer than necessary! I want a new chapter! Now now now!
Betabee: Okay okay okay! I was busy!
Faraday: With what?
Betabee: Real life, and my 4x4.
Faraday: You could have alternated more!
Betabee: Yeah, but it's a pain switching between the lifespans, since the computer decides to crash the game just after I switch the age lengths quite often, and the age length sticks between games, so I need to keep switching to keep you guys HoF eligible. Hence my reluctance to play both at once. Happy?
Faraday: Hmm. Not much, but it'll have to do. Chapter!!!
Betabee: On it!

I found that it's possible to make simbots despite not having enough house-space to keep them- they just get moved out automatically, so yay!

Betabee: Do you get the sense that Mellissa has one too may Ls in her name?
Einstein: It was Puzzle's idea. It makes her more unique.
Betabee: Erm . . . okay. Bye bye Mellissa. Have a nice life.

With the simbot made, the only task left was to blow up more dishwashers.

I took a lot more precautions this time, including not putting dishwashers over the museums . . .

. . . and having a couple of immortal firefighters stationed should the worst happen.

Einstein:crosses fingers very tightly

The first explosion went without incident.

So did the second, and that wrapped up the last skill challenge. I also discovered the usefulness of the hammer tool in removing explosion debris- just click and drag over the affected area and it all gets cleared up as if by magic.
Einstein: If only you'd have thought of that for the first batch.
Betabee: Well, you set the museum on fire. I wasn't exactly thinking clever thoughts at the time, I was trying to recover from blind panic.

Soon enough, it was time for Faraday's child birthday.
Faraday: At last!

Faraday: Woah. That was a badly timed shot.

Faraday: That's better. To the dresser!

Faraday really does seem to take after his mother.(for which we are immensely thankful!)
Einstein: Pardon?
Betabee:whistles inoccently

Betabee: I take it you want to supermax charisma, correct?
Faraday: Yes indeed! After all, it's a common problem in the world that scientists need better ways to communicate effectively with the general public, and I believe that I would be well equipped to-
Betabee: Well, you'd better get started on some friend-making, yes?
Faraday: Okay then, Watcher lady!

Due to Watcher laziness, Faraday's room is Jon's old room (with the alchemy set removed, since that's reserved for Faraday's daughter's supermax.)

Faraday: Darwin, why do I need tutoring? I'm not sure wit and charm are taught in schools . . .
Darwin: We're going into winter, so you might not get any school days. You do want to choose your next trait, right?
Faraday: Ye-es, I guess so.

And so, Faraday spent his childhood meeting random neighbors . . .

. . . improving relationships with his numerous grandparents over nights . . .

. . . and taking advantage of Franklin's vaccination clinic to meet even more people.

Betty's elder birthday arrived about 3 days into Faraday's childhood.

Betty: Well, I guess the hair's passable. The wardrobe needs a change, though.

Betabee: Erm, you'd make a wonderful grandma? It's the best I could do.
Betty: That's okay. I'll get used to the old-person clothes sooner or later.

Faraday: Hello, you must be my great-great grandpa!
Shawn: Indeed I am. Good to meet you, little fellow.
Faraday: Do you want to build a snowman?
Shawn: Okay.

You wouldn't think these two were related, but the world of the sims is a strange and wonderful place. I wonder if Shawn's stuck wolf form will keep him alive to see the end? We'll have to wait and see . . .

Wow, I've been distracted. (Finally!) Here's the next chapter:

Chapter 40- In which Betty finds a measure of happiness

Faraday: Granny, must I eat my cabbage? It tastes disgusting, and if you eat nothing but cabbage you'll get health problems!
Luca: You're not eating nothing but cabbage, Faraday.
Faraday: It still tastes horrible. When I'm leader of the free world, my first action will be to ban cabbage.
Luca: I'm sure your great-grandfather will have something to say to that. Besides, you might change your mind later. Don't give up on it yet.

Einstein finishes his last time machine required for maxing his career a few days shy of his adult birthday . . .

. . . and a message from the council of the timelords arrived promptly afterwards, stating, 'No more'. We're not sure if this is connected to the sudden disappearance of the inventing table.

To occupy his time, Einstein is now recieving logic tuition from Darwin to complete his lifetime wish.

Darwin: How's the research coming along?
Betty: I'm about done, actually.
Darwin: Excellent news! You know, I think it's brilliant that you're taking steps to ensure your own happiness. I wish Einstein could have the same, but he will eventually, I guess.
Betty: Thanks for your support, Darwin.

Have you guessed the plan yet, readers?

Betty has been working on the means to her and Einstein's freedom for a while now. The two of them knew they would never be happy together (since his heart is given to another). However, they didn't fancy the strife of a messy divorce (i.e. I was worried that it would cause one of the two to move out, big problem!), so they instead opted for the social media divorce a la Elysi.

And so it was that Betty left the house a single woman to go and find some happiness in her last days.

Betabee: Well, that was quick.
Betty: What? It's not like I have long left, plus he's a cutie.

Betabee: Are you going to introduce him then?
Betty: In a minute! Can't you see I'm busy?

Betabee: Please?
??: Can you stop interrupting? I'm trying to talk to this charming lady and get stopped repeatedly by a random voice in the sky.

Betabee: Ooh, he's got purple eyes like Jo did!
Betty, ??: Who's Jo?
Betabee: Someone before your time. Nevermind.

Faraday: Watcher, who's mum hugging? It's embarassing!
Betabee: Okay, I'll introduce him. Faraday, this is Loren, your mum's boyfriend. Loren, that's Faraday, Betty's son. Happy?
Loren: Deliriously.
Betabee: Were you listening to what I was saying at all?
Loren: Not really.

Faraday fled inside before his mum got too soppy.

Their relationship progressed quite quickly, mostly due to the relentless march of time and inevitability of the end.

Speaking of the march of time . . .

Faraday:*thinks* Yeah, we've totally got this birthday thing nailed! Were going to eat tons of cake, and open loads of presents, and it's going to be so totally awesome!
Einstein:*thinks* I really need to get the boy a hat sometime.

Faraday: Aaaah! I've turned into Legolas!
Betabee: You do know that some girls find him quite attractive, right?
Faraday: But I don't want to be a bow wielding elf who looks like a girl!
Betabee: Fair dos. Off to the dresser while your father ages up.

Einstein: What on earth was I thinking? Hats are really not that sensible, especially indoors and in this climate!
Betabee: Einstein, are you alright?
Franklin: Erm, I think he's got a touch of midlife crisis. It might have temporarily affected his insanity.

Faraday has opted for the classic quiff . . .

. . . along with clothing designed to make him look a tad more cool than he actually is.

Let us now consider, for a little while, how wonderfully we stand upon this world. Here it is we are born, bred, and live, and yet we view these things with an almost entire absence of wonder to ourselves respecting the way in which all this happens. So small, indeed, is our wonder, that we are never taken by surprise; and I do think that, to a young person of ten, fifteen, or twenty years of age, perhaps the first sight of a cataract or a mountain would occasion him more surprise than he had ever felt concerning the means of his own existence; how he came here; how he lives; by what means he stands upright; and through what means he moves about from place to place. Hence, we come into this world, we live, and depart from it, without our thoughts being called specifically to consider how all this takes place; and were it not for the exertions of some few inquiring minds, who have looked into these things, and ascertained the very beautiful laws and conditions by which we do live and stand upon the earth, we should hardly be aware that there was any thing wonderful in it. *

For some reason, Einstein is now relatively well groomed, and has discarded his hat in favor of a more sensible hairstyle. How will the family cope with a sensible Einstein? What will Faraday's teen years hold? How long will Betty's newfound happiness last? Find out in the next chapter!

Chapter 41- Aleph null*

Darwin: Einstein, the family and I have been getting worried. You've been acting odd lately.
Einstein: Actually, I think this is the least odd I've been acting in a long time.
Darwin: Yes. That's what's strange.

Darwin: I mean, the other day you even went as far as changing your wardrobe to make it 'more sensible'!

Einstein: Franklin, why is it that no-one understands me now?
Franklin: Maybe because we learnt to cope with you being different to this, dear. I think this mid-life crisis thing has gone to your head. Do you need to go see someone?
Einstein: What, and get my current sanity cured?
Franklin: If this continues much longer, we may have no choice.

Faraday's sculpting session was far less serious.
Faraday: Do you mind if I tell you jokes while you sculpt? It's for my supermax.
Franklin: Okay, as long as they're not too funny. Otherwise your statue might end up with a few less limbs than you do.
Faraday: Fine then, I'll stick with knock-knock jokes.

So many museum pieces, and so many museum piece pictures. (though including the pictures in the chapter posts should make doing the statistic posts at the end slightly easier, I guess).

Faraday: Gran, why is dad acting so sensibly these days? He genuinely came up and asked me if we could go on a camping holiday 'like normal families'! It's totally unacceptable!
Luca: You know my son is a complex individual, dear. He has every right to act normal, just as he has every right to act as he normally does. Keep your eyes on the road, boy. You focus on what you have to do. My son's sanity can't affect the course of the dynasty unless you let it.

While Einstein's sanity was fazing the rest of the household, Betty had other things on her mind, such as spending more time with Loren.

Betty: Hey, what's with the outfit?
Loren: Well, since I have such a spring in my step these days, I decided to get a job.
Betty: What as?
Loren: Well, the jobcentre didn't give me much choice- I'm stuck on the tills at the spring festival until I find something better.

Unfortunately that very evening I recieved the 'Loren hasn't got much longer to live' notice.

Betty: It's not very specific about how much longer, is it?
Betabee: Nope. Sorry I couldn't give the two of you more warning.
Loren: It's okay. It's not as if we'd have had very long together anyway.

They had one night in each other's arms.

Loren: Come to the festival today, my love? I would spend what time I have left with you, even if I have to 'work'.
Betty: I wouldn't miss it for anything.

Loren didn't end up doing much work that day, with Betty at his side. Business was slow, and they spent most of the time dancing along to whatever music was coming out the speakers.

It couldn't last.

Betty: Don't go. Please.
Loren: I don't get much choice in the matter, my dear. But thank you for the little infinity we had.
Betty: There will be a greater infinity later, I imagine.
Loren: I will see you soon, then. So long.
Betty: Farewell.

Grim: Ready to go?
Loren: Yes. Thanks for giving me a bit of time with her.
Betty: Grim? Don't leave me waiting too long.
Grim: The schedule is already set. You will wait as long as you must. Go and live what you have left.
Betty: How can I?

Grim: Well, you can mourn for a start. The healing process takes time. And remember, you will see him again.
Betty: I guess so.

Betty: I don't think they will mind too much if you go here. Although your time was short with me I miss you greatly. See you soon, my love.

Faraday: Mum, what's wrong? Is there anything I can do?
Betty: I need a hug.
Faraday::*wordlessly pulls her into a hug*

I've a small backlog of pictures and writing to do, so here's the next chapter already!

Chapter 42- So long, and thanks for all the fish

Einstein's sanity continues.
Puzzle: Einstein, will you listen to me?! You're not yourself! You need help!
Einstein: I am a sane individual. The voices in my head do not exist. Maybe I need to see a doctor about my schizophrenia . . .
Puzzle: AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!

Darwin: No, Einstein, you don't have schizophrenia. You have an imaginary friend.
Einstein: Imaginary friends don't exist. Any sane person knows that.
Darwin: Sanity is a useless thing if it closes your mind to the truth!

In other news, Faraday went to prom in a highly imaginative costume. He came back with a boyfriend who he promptly dumped.

Newton: Why oh why do I always forget to unplug the dishwasher first?
Betabee: Old age. Or amnesia induced my electric shocks. Take your pick.

Since Faraday rolled the 'golden tounge, golden fingers' lifetime wish, he is making limited use of a multitab to save me buying a guitar. (I'm selling the tab as soon as he's maxed guitar!)

Einstein's sanity meant he wanted to do a bit of renovation to the house. Consequently, the house has a new garden area out the back (plus a few extra trees and a bonfire!)

I also decided to change the clue system. We don't have enough room for the dog line to continue, so we're having lab rats instead! Henceforth, I will inform you of the 4 clues to the next generation a while beforehand to allow you time to guess. The clues for generation 7 are as follows: Nobel 1, Nobel 2, Bronislawa and Becquerel. Feel free to leave your guesses in the comments.

Here's an overview of the yard as it is now I don't think I'll make many further modifications to the outside of the house, though if you have any thoughts for what I can do with the empty spaces, feel free to suggest ideas in the comments.

Luca passed away quite peacefully somewhere in her 90s.

As Newton went to place her urn in the family crypt . . .

Newton: Hello, Loren. How's the afterlife?
Loren: Indescribable. Who are you bringing down?
Newton: My wife, Luca.
Loren: Oh. Listen, I was wondering- could you leave a space so Betty and I can have our urns next to each other? It would mean a lot to me.

Newton: Sure! It's not as if we had a set order to urn placement here.

Newton: Do you have any messages to pass on to everyone?
Loren: Well, Jon says that he and Agnes are getting on very well and he's thinking of proposing marriage. Jo sends her love, especially to Darwin. Billy really wants to talk to Franklin about Moonlight Falls for some reason, so send her over sometime if she isn't too busy. Jill sends hugs to everyone, especially to Pasteur and to her dad (she's not sure why he's not with us yet). If you could send my love to Betty, that would be fantastic. Tell her I'll see her soon.

Newton: I'll tell everyone all the things, don't worry. Take care!
Loren: Well that's a silly thing to say. How do I need to take care when I can float through walls?

With the death of Luca went Einstein's sanity, to which he promptly retrieved his old beanie hat from his teen years (since his other hat was mysteriously missing . . .)

Einstein: I really need my mummy to help me cope with the loss of my mummy . . . Puzzle, I need a hug.

And yes, hugs indeed do look weird without both participants visible.

Faraday: Hang on, why is there an ominous noise?

Faraday: He's right behind me, isn't he?

Maxwell: You look like you need a hug, Grim. You've been dealing with far too many deaths lately.
Grim: Why thank you! Awwwww . . .

Betabee: Bye bye Maxwell.
Maxwell: Look after Dynamo for meeeeeee . . .

Good bye to the beloved family of dogs, but welcome to the lab rats! My guess is that the next heir will be named Curie, mostly because the family needs a female heir for the seventh generation, and the "Becquerel" hint definitely hints towards the study of radioactive elements even more.

As usual, Trip beat me! I agree that generation seven can only be named Curie. And too many deaths, too much sad. Curse me for watching The Fault in Our Stars so I got that heartbreaking reference! Ugh. I almost started crying right there. I'm glad Betty got to be happy. Poor dear. Also that Einstein is back to-well, not normal, but whatever he usually is. It's not okay for him not to remember and acknowledge Puzzle!

Bonus points if you can explain all the clues!

All the feels is what I was aiming for. The Fault in Our Stars is a great book/movie!

Chapter 43- Close . . .

Dynamo's elder birthday came soon after Maxwell's death.

Dynamo: Hey, I have highlights now!
Betabee: Hmm. . .

Faraday has taken up painting in his spare time. His charisma is nearly supermaxed (he just needs to max the skill) but I'm waiting for him to grow up before he maxes it to see if I can get any opportunities out of it.

Speaking of growing up . . .

Faraday: From that stray lock of hair I deduce I must have legolas hair again. Mirror!

I like that Faraday has inherited a good deal of his mother's looks. He's nicely unique, I think.

Thusly, Faraday made his first forays into the political sphere, with promises of facts and detailed explanations of his policies to woo the voters. (Though the rest of the family hypothesised that people said they would vote for him so he would stop explaining his polices to them at length.)

He even visited his boss to try and move faster up the career ladder, but apparently even the most lenient of bosses won't give you a promotion before your first day of work.

Faraday: Don't you think it's stupid that I couldn't get a promotion? Everyone can see that I am an individual dedicated to the political cause and willing to do anything to win votes!
Franklin: The ice block won't answer back, dear. Now please be quiet so I can concentrate?
Faraday:Mumbles and grumbles to himself for a while as Franklin keeps sculpting

We're getting there. Only 15 sets of museum pieces to go!

Despite not being able to move in a wife and have generation 7 yet, Faraday has been doing admirable work scoping out potential partners inbetween working on his career. This is Simone Lavoie.

Having only watched Buffy the vampire slayer after choosing Faraday's clothing, I only just realised he now looks just like Spike (except with black eyes).

It's also the time in the dynasty for throwing potions at random strangers around town.

Betty: Are those gold sparkles I see around me?

Betabee: Yep.

Betty: Hello again, Grim.
Grim: Greetings. Ready to go?
Betty: Definitely. How's Loren?
Grim: He's been badgering me to pick you up for the last 2 chapters. Shall we?

It was Einstein's task to deliver his former wife to the crypt.
Einstein: Well, I hope you're happy now.

Faraday, meanwhile, was looking for a wife.

Faraday: So, would you be willing to move in, be my wife and have a baby?
Simone: Sure!

I wish things went smoothly after this. That they had a child and lived happily ever after. But that's not what happened.

I discovered a grand total of 2 seconds after moving Simone in that she was on the verge of her elder birthday. Thusly, there wasn't much time to try and bring in generation 7.

They tried. They really tried. But to no avail.

Betabee: I'm sorry, Simone.
Simone: So am I.

Simone: So, what now?
Betabee: You live out your elder days in the house, and once you've passed, we can try again to find the mother of generation 7. This is going to be tedious . . .
