Not getting the 7,500 wish problem again I can handle, but there is nothing for her do to with the garden glitch now.  She still needs to harvest more to complete the last skill challenge.  She's needed the plums since the very beginning of the game to complete that first opportunity, but the trees have never produced fruit.  And she needs all the fruit to master nectar making (5000 point wish) and work on those skill challenges.  But nothing is growing except life fruit and plasma fruit.  Everything else appears to be stuck now.  The three types of grapes she got in France were producing fruit before winter came, but now it's summer again and nothing.

Have newly-planted seeds acted normally? Or are they affected by the same "stuck" glitch?

...also, it might be worthwhile to cancel the plums opportunity and see if you get something else.

Does she have the Gatherer trait? There seem to some problems related to having Gatherer and Gardening.

Nope.  No gatherer trait.  There just seems to be some sort of bug that causes plants to not produce fruit.

I went ahead and canceled the opportunity.  She's already maxed gardening though, so she won't need any that offer a skill boost.  Hopefully she'll still get the opportunities that offer egg & cheese plants, meat plants, and the omni plant.

I wish I could afford the greenhouse available on the sims 3 website, but it just way too overpriced.

Try just planting indoors with the planter bowls.  I find that works with or without the greenhouse pieces.

Did you buy the Nectar Making books in France? If not, they often turn up at the consignment shop. There are ways of mastering Nectar Making without making nectar, although you do of course have to make nectar to do the skill challenges.

If you leave the opportunity slot open, you will most likely eventually get the egg, cheese, etc ops. I want the greenhouse too, but as Tilia said you don't really need it to garden indoors. Either the planter bowls or the moveobjects on cheat will do fine.

Chapter 6.  Gladsten goes gallivanting around the globe

Gladsten makes a trip to the cemetery, and for some reason these two tourists decided hanging out in the cemetery after midnight was the thing to do.

He maxes his fishing skill, and starts catching death fish.

He meets a unicorn while searching for gems.

Pep gets annoyed that living a werewolf means that your parsole is always chewed up no matter how many times you replace it.

Gladsten gets his 3rd tattoo.

And then I don't know if it was the stress of the engagement or what, but Gladsten just sets off.  They hadn't even set a date yet.

Meanwhile, at home, Pep lounges in and around the pool.

First, he finds himself in Egypt.  He starts out by fishing for crocs.

He explores a tomb.

The special items merchant tells a scary story.

Next up on his itinerary is China.  He chills in the fountain while waiting for the shop keepers to show up.

He catches his first dragon fish.

He starts training in the martial arts.

He buys the supplies to continue training at home.

Apparently there are zombies in China too.  You just can't escape them.

He picks some fruit to bring back home to his lover.

This lady thinks he's a ghost?  Get it right lady.  I'm a werewolf!

In France, Gladsten calls up Pep to ask her for one of her nectar recipes so can deliver a nice bottle to a local.

He explores some more tombs and almost gets lost.

He swims across the river to a little island.

He picks the grapes to bring back home to his lover.  Pep has been desiring these grapes for forever.

Between the market, the nectary, and the little island he is able to bring home five out of the six types of grapes home to Pep.  He was just shy of having the Visa requirements to buy the last type from the special items merchant.

Back at home with all the present from Glasten, Pep is able to max out the nectar making skill, completing her second 5000 point wish.

Now she wants to make a $150 bottle of nectar for another 5000 points.  I'm surprised she hasn't accomplished this already.

Chapter 7.  Pep finishes up her requirements and Gladsten goes wild

Gladsten talks about his upcoming nuptials with his pal.  Dwayne doesn't seem like he's in any hurry to settle down either.

This vampire/zombie? dies on our property.

Gladsten buys the toadstool and upgrades the juice bars to professional bars.  After a lot of pestering, Gladsten's buddies talk him into having a bachelor party.  The Toadstool is the obvious choice for local.

Param decides that cornering Gladsten in the bathroom is perfect time and place to spray him with bubbly nectar.

Gladsten asks Dwayne to make the toast.

Nectar flies all over.

Pep "blooms" her 100th plant and completes her lifetime wish.

Gladsten is so exhausted after work he walks through the bedroom, past the bed, out the door and passes out on the back porch.

Our ghostly visitor enjoys his new haunt.

Pep is really bad with that collector.  Mostly it just makes her dizzy, stressed, and nauseous, so she sticks with harvesting by hand.  She was hoping Gladsten would upgrade it for her, but that doesn't seem possible.

New gnome!  Yay!

Pep gives the paparazzi quite the story.  Not sure how or why she was walking around in the nude.

Gladsten takes another trip to France, and is able to make it to the second Visa level and get that last type of grapes from the special merchant.  He spends the rest of time camping out.

Gladsten and Pep also buy the Red Velvet Lounge and upgrade it's bars.  Pep takes advantage of a drink promotion and chats up Gladsten's ex-girlfriend.

Pep picks up a reward trophy from City Hall for her services as a nectar maker in Moonlight Falls.  Outside Pep tries making a new friend and fails miserably.

Pep gets the opportunity to deliver life fruit to Yasmin MacDuff and decides to make Yasmin her new friend.

After delivering some grapes, and making Yasmin her new best friend Pep's requirements are complete.  Here is her section of the family mausoleum.  She choose bunches of grapes as her contribution.

Pep & Gladsten enter a hotdog eating contest.  Somehow Pep wins?

Time to get down to business!

Better start eating these just in case.

Yay nooboo! I can't wait to see what candy the little one will be. Bunches of grapes are a very appropriate contribution for a gardener/nectar maker. How funny that a ghost can walk through walls yet leave a snow angel? They must be able to decide to be corporeal sometimes. Congratulations on reaching your lifetime wish, Peppermint!

By the way, in reference to the harvester, normal harvesters to mess up sometimes and they will make Sims that use them dizzy and sick. The way to avoid this is by having a Masterful Harvester which can be made after a Sim makes 100 Big Inventions. I don't know if the consignment store ever sells Masterful inventions or not. Your most sure way to get one is to have someone complete the challenge, because inventions cannot be upgraded.

Chapter 8.  Maybe baby?

After trying, and trying, and trying again.  Trying everywhere they can, and no chimes.

After trying for baby about twenty times Gladsten gets a fertility treatment.  After trying about another ten, and so does Pep.

Pep gets her first burglar.  Get him Bonehilda!

The police officer gets him before she has a chance to.

And Pep is finally officially pregnant!  Sorry, Pep.  I tried designing your maternity wear but I guess the Generations top I picked isn't a maternity top after all.   :(

With a little one on the way, Pep and Gladsten visit La Shove Beach to share some private nuptials.

And the contractions start...

Welcome to the world Snickerdoodle Saccharine!

... and Shortbread Saccharine!

See, this is the top I had wanted Pep to wear during her pregnancy.  I always forget that not all of the clothes from Generations are maternity.

On the left we have Snickerdoodle, a grumpy and absent minded werewolf.  On the right, Shortbread, a fairy who loves the heat and is neurotic.

Time for some cake!  Snickerdoodle is up first!

Next up is Shortbread.

Here are the girls' wardrobes:

Snickerdoodle Saccharine (heir)
Subtype: werewolf
Traits: grumpy, absent minded

Shortbread Saccharine (spare)
Subtype: fairy
Traits: loves the heat, neurotic

Oh man, it took some trying.  Normally I always get chimes on the first or second time.  It took more like thirty this time.

Yay, nooboos! I'm happy Snickerdoodle is the heir because of those green eyes! Of course, glowy-eye-ness is from being a werewolf, but still--green eyes + black hair = reminds me so much of Snow White!

Reading back, that didn't make any sense, but I'm hitting "Post" anyway! Congratulations!

It looks like Snickerdoodle got Pep's nose and green eyes, whereas Shortbread got more of her skin tone.

So cute! I love the names too. Are they keeping their respective colour schemes?

I'm not really sure.  We'll see what looks good on them later.  For now, I'm sticking with their favorite colors: red & seafoam green.  I like how the heir has the same favorite color as her mama.
