Zach is cute! I won't say R.I.P. to her cause that actually means you care, so I will simply say good riddance! Locking people in the basement, you ought to be ashamed of yourself!  ;D

Good point. She has shown up to haunt once and... never mind, I'm not gonna spoil it. It'll be mentioned in a later chapter. ;)

I'll work on the next chapter in a bit, after I calm myself down. I need to stop listening to Techno Trance music, it makes me incredibly hyper. :P

Chapter Nineteen

The door for the Papyrus Memorial Library had been locked several hours ago, so the entire building was eerily silent. There was no movement, no sound. Suddenly, a dull orange glow lit the computer room part of the library for a few seconds, and a young girl appeared. She quietly moved over to a computer, and inserted a flash drive. Opening the only file in it, she brushed a strand of wavy brown hair out of her face, and began typing. For a few minutes, the only sound in the almost empty library was the sound of her fingers typing and adding words to her growing story. Then, the room was bather in orange light a second time, and Heather appeared. The girl spun around to face the newcomer, shocked. For a few minutes, they stared at each other, not saying anything, before the silence was broken.
"What are you doing here Lily?''
Lily avoided her sister's gaze. "Nothing."
Heather walked over, and sat in the chair next to Lily's. "This isn't 'Nothing', Lily. You know perfectly well mom said you couldn't use the teleporter until you were seventeen."
Her sister glared at her. "Well, it's not fair! We have a way to get out and be normal, but only you and our parents can use it! It's not fair!"
"That's not what you said to me two years ago."
"I was four back then, Heather!" Lily slammed her hand angrily on the desk. "I didn't know better, I didn't know how wonderful it felt to be free!"
"Mom and Dad are trying to protect you, Lily. You know that. Now, how long has this been going on?"
Lily bit her lip nervously. "Two months."
"Two months!? Geez, this is worse than I thought. And you've been coming here to write?"
She nodded. "I like to write."
"Can I see what you've written so far?" Heather asked, curious to see what Lily's story was like.
Lily nodded again, and got up so Heather could sit down. While she read it, Lily sat don on the floor and looked out the window, marveling at the stars and the trees. After a while, Heather stood up, and sat down beside Lily.
"It's a really good story, Lil." She said truthfully. She had really enjoyed it,it was very dramatic.
      Her sister smiled. "Thanks!"
"But," she locked her purple gaze with her sister's blue one. "You'll have to put it on hold until you turn seventeen."
"What?!" Lily jumped to her feet, outraged.
"I don't want you coming back here for a long time, Lily. It's dangerous, you're not used to being around people. Besides, someone might catch you. No one's even supposed to be here at this time of night."
Her sister looked down, her blue eyes burning with fury. However, she saw no point in arguing with her sister, she new it was hopeless. "Fine." She mumbled. "I won't come here anymore"
Heather nodded. "Good." She picked up the remote control from where Lily had left it on the desk, put her hand on her shoulder, and pressed the Home button. Once they were back in the basement, she pulled on her nightgown, and fell asleep, satisfied that her sister would not go back. However, Heather had always been naive, and a little too trusting. Lily had lied about never going back there, and continued to do go for many months.
      Time skip...
Lily sat once again at the computer in the library, looking at the screen. She had finished her book, and had already made an email account, [email protected], in order to send her book to the publisher. So far, she had filled out all the required fields, except one.

NAME OF WORK: Arewa Naisho

GENRE OF WORK: Drama

NUMBER OF PAGES: 496

PHONE NUMBER OF AUTHOR:

At this category, Lily was hesitant. She already knew what she had to to, but could she pull it off? Slowly, she reached into the pocket of her shorts, and pulled out Heather's cell phone, which she had taken while she was sleeping. She went to 'My Contacts' and chose 'Me' from the list. A phone number appeared, and she turned back to the computer screen. Then, quickly, before she could change her mind, she entered the phone number, 555-4033, into the last line on the form, and hit sent before she could back out. She sat back, her heart racing as if she had just ran a mile, instead of sent a simple email. This is it. Finally, my book will be published. And with that, she ejected her USB drive, and teleported home. She pulled on her pajamas, and slipped into bed, feeling happy. She was on her way to becoming a famous author.
      Time skip... again...
A few days before Daisy and Lily's birthdays, Heather's phone rang while she was working on a painting. Figuring it was Zachary, she pressed talk.
      "Hello?''
Instead of Zach's voice, though, she heard the voice of a cheerful young woman. "Hello, this is Cecilia Markman from Platinum PlumbBob Publishing. Am I speaking to Miss Lily Churchill?"
"No, Lily's my sister. Hang on." Even though she knew she should just hang up, she felt that she shouldn't make Lily any more upset than she already was. "Here." she said, tossing the phone to her sister.
Lily grabbed in, feeling both excited and scared at the same time. "Hello?"
"Hi, this is Cecilia Markman from Platinum PlumbBob Publishing. Am I speaking to Miss Lily Churchill?"
      "Yes, you are" Lily answered.
"Miss Lily, you book is fantastic, and we would love to publish it! What do you think?"
Trying to contain her excitement, Lily answered "Sure, that sound good." They spent the next half hour discussing royalties, and a bunch of other things about her new book. Lily hung up, feeling happy, but that feeling quickly evaporated when she saw Heather standing over her, her violet eyes narrowed.
     "Well?"
"I spent a lot of time on that book. I want other people to be able to read it." Lily mumbled, knowing what was coming.
"Didn't I tell you never to go there again?!" Heather demanded, angrily.
"You can't order me around like that! You're not my mom!"
Heather glared down at her coldly. "And it's a good thing for you I'm not. Do you really thing Mom would be happy if she knew you'd been disobeying her for all these months?"
Lily looked down at her boots. "Ummm..."
Heather put a comforting arm around her sister's shoulder. "I know how it eels to want to be free, but let me make you a deal. I'll help you keep your secret if you wait until your fourteenth birthday to sneak out again."
Lily wiped away the tears that had started to well up in her eyes. "D-don't you mean seventeenth?"
Heather shook her head. "Writing is obviously very important to you, and I don't want to have to keep you from it, but I think it's too dangerous for you too be out there what you're still six years old, okay?"
     Lily smiled. "Okay!"
     Time skip...
When Heather teleported back in after a dinner date with Zachary, she walked over to Lily, who was sitting on her bed Re reading "The Warlock of Palledia", and handed her a book. Lily's face instantly lit up when she saw the title printed on the cover: "Arewa Naisho". Grinning, she flipped it open and paged through it, running her fingers across the words, her words. She had taken another step closer to her dream: becoming a professional author. She slipped the book under her pillow, and hurried over to the dining table, where Daisy was already waiting with two cakes. Today was her birthday.

Chapter Notes:
* I realize that Heather and Lily are pretty much the only characters in this chapter. Oops... ^^''
* The reason I'm having Lily learn the writing skill is because I gave her the bookworm trait when she grew up, and then the whole "Sneaking out" theme came to mind.
* Daisy's other trait is Lucky. I had no idea what else to give her.
* I have absolutely no idea what you do to get a book published, so I made everything up. ^^''
* "Arewa Naisho", by the way, means "That's a Secret" in japanese.
* I shamelessly stole cybersim.net from Schipperke's Clan Douglas.
* Please don't try to email Lily. ^^''
* Also, I hope it doesn't sound like Heather's blackmailing Lily, because she isn't.
* I'll post pictures of Lily and Daisy as teens later today.
* Tell me what you think of this chapter! Pwease?~ :3

Can't Lily ask for a computer from Amanda for her birthday? I'm sure she will be elated to receive it.

And great update! Can't wait to read more about Zach and Heather :)

Thankies! And no, I don't give them any way to communicate with the outside world. They rely on each other for the social need.

Ok, totally random funny thing! When Jenna's ghost showed up for the second time, Daisy, Lily and Violet all got LTW's to be Creature-Robot Crossbreeder. What do robots have to do with ghosts? ???

EDIT: And after slapping Jenna, Lily rolled the LTW to be super popular. Uhm.... :o

Maybe they want to be the ones to breed robots and ghosts!  ;D I'd make her popular just for slapping her!  ;D
