I think most women would be happy with just three hours of labour.
Great update.

Uhh labor topic, I'm skipping that one!
Beside that, Simstar, story continues great. I wonder when do you plan to set them free. Old lady won't live forever I suppose, and Amanda could figure something out. I feel sorry for little girl to grow up in basement, seeing trees on pictures. I suppose Heather is artistic, and wonder about other trait. (she seems anxious but toddlers generally have no patience so I can't guess for shore).
Intriguing story, and again, amazing job for telling such a clear vivid story without pictures.

Chapter Seven

Amanda, Raymond and Heather were sitting at the table eating birthday cake. Heather had aged up into a child, and couldn't wait until she could open her gifts. Well, actually, Heather finished her cake a long time ago, and was waiting for her parents, who were eating slowly.
"Aren't you done yet?" Heather asked, impatiently rocking her chair back and forth.
"Be patient, Heather." Amanda replied. "You ate your cake so fast, I'm surprised you even tasted it."
"Well, I did. Can we pleeeeeeeze open presents now? You can put the rest of your pieces in the fridge."
"Alright, Heather, you win." Raymond said with a sigh, but he was smiling.
"Yaayy!" Heather ran over to where two presents wrapped in glittery pink paper sat. She picked them both up, and looked at the tags. "To: Heather From: Mom, and... To: Heather From: Mom. Don't I get one from Dad?" She looked confused.
"Sure you do, but mine is to big to wrap." Raymond assured her. "Open Mom's first."
"Okay!" Heathere carefully peeled off the tape for the first present, and lifted it off, so she was holding a large piece of wrapping paper without a single tear on it. "Wow! A music box! Thank you so much, Mom!"
"You're welcome, sweetie. Open the next one, I'm sure you'll like it." Amanda replied. Once again, Heather lifted the tape off slowly, so she could save the paper for an art project she read about. Slowly, she put the paper down, and picked up a large, flat picture frame, with a bunch of weird green feather-like thing in the picture.
"Um... thanks Mom, but what is it?" Heather asked.
"Those are trees, honey. I took a photo of a tree, so you could see what they looked like."
"Ohhh- hold it, how'd you get out? There's no doors here, I spent a whole day looking." Amanda and Raymond exchanged uneasy glances. "Wait- Zeneporting, right"
"That's right, but how in Spodes name do you know that? We never told you." Amanda asked, surprised. Heather help up Martial Arts Vol. 1: Wax on Philosophic.
"I was reading this while you were wrapping the presents and cutting the cake. I don't understand much, but it looks like if you meditate enough, you can teleport."
"Well, you saved us the trouble of explaining it to you, that's for sure. Now, are you ready to open my present?" Raymond asked.
"Yup! I can't wait!" Heather replied enthusiastically. "Where is it?"
"Close your eyes." Raymond replied. "And no peeking!" Heather giggled, and closed her eyes. Raymond took her hand, and led her through the basement.
      "Ok, now open them, annnd..."
"Oh, wow! An easel! Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!" Heather bounced up and down withy joy. "I love it!"
      "You're welcome, sweetie. Happy birthday!"
Later that night, when Heather was already asleep in her new bed, Raymond and Amanda were talking.
"How's Heather going to go to school if she can't get out of the basement?" Amanda asked.
"The school doesn't know about Heather. No one but us does, so they won't be expecting her to show up." Raymond stated matter-of-factly.
      "Oh, yeah."
"It doesn't matter, though. We can teach Heather ourselves." And with that, they both went to sleep.
Then next morning, Amanda and Raymond woke up, and sat dow at the table with their cups of coffee. Heather ran up, already showered and dressed, holding something behind her back.
"Guess who made muffins~!" Heather announced cheerily. She set a plate of vanilla muffins on the table, and sat down to join them.
"Wow, these look great, honey! I can see you've been busy." Amanda says, noticing the three paintings that decorate the basements stone walls.
"Uh-huh! I love the easel, and I love painting and cooking!" Heather exclaims.
Amanda felt relived. Despite the fact that Heather would be raised in a different enviorment than most kids, Amanda knew her daughter would be just fine.

Chapter Notes:

* I actually made a Spore reference in this chapter. It should be fairly easy to spot.
* Heathers line "Guess who made muffins~!" is taken from an Invader Zim episode in which GIR says "Guess who made waffles!"
* The way I ended the chapter, it sounds like I'm ending the story, but believe me, it's far from over.
* I'm sorry to say, I won't be able to post a picture of Heather, because she's already a teen in the game, and I won't be able to recreate her in CAS. I can say that she had a tank top, cargo shorts, flip-flops, and had that base game hairstyle with the hair clip and the ponytail.
* I know Jenna hasn't been mentioned for a while, but she'll appear again soon, and not in a good way... ;)
* Jenna got a job in the Criminal career, even though she doesn't need it at all. Also, has anyone noticed the pun in Jennas name?
* Tell me what you think of this chapter! Pwease? :3

Just finished reading ch. 7! Great writing, I love the way you make each character distinct. Heather is a little impatient but grateful when she gets what she wants. Amanda is curious about new things but cares for the people around her. I still haven't quite figured out about Raymond other than he is a loving father and husband: the strong silent type.  ;D

Bleh. Raymond isn't really the silent type, I just don't give him very many lines. Mainly because Amanda and Heather have had bigger roles in the story. I'll try to give him more lines, though! :-X

Haha, sorry 'bout my misinterpreting. In my mind he will just be the strong (non-silent) type. ;D :P

Chapter Eight

"Where are you going, Mom?" Heather asked curiously, looking up from her painting. Having spend pretty much all her time painting, and not having to go to school, Heather's paintings had really improved, if you looked at them you wouldn't guess a seven year old made them.
"I'm just going to get the newspaper. I like to catch up on what's going on up above." the last newspaper she had gotten was a month ago, and she liked to be able to see how the town had changed.
"Well, as long as you're out, could'ja get me some cherry blossoms? I'm wanna make a mosaic out of them."
      "Of what?"
      "...A cherry tree."
"Well, okay. I don't know where I'd find a cherry tree, though."
"I think there's some by the Outstanding Citizen Warehouse Corp." Raymond said, as he looked up from his guitar, which had been playing during the entire conversation.
"Ok, I'll go there." Amanda said, sitting down to meditate.
"The Warehouse? Be careful. I read something bad in the last newspaper you brought in. You could-" A ding! from her toy oven interrupted Heather in mid-sentence. "My cookies!" Heather yelped, running toward the oven. Amanda briefly wondered what her daughter had been about to say, but pushed the thought away, and began meditating. Heather seemed to have forgotten as well, just returned to her paining after she pulled the cookies out of the oven. After a couple hours, she teleported behind the warehouse. She walked over to a large cherry tree, in full blossom, and began putting the petals in her bag. She was so busy, that when didn't notice the irising door on the building open, or a sinister figure creeping up to her.
"YOU!" a screeching, angry voice tore through the silent night air, like someone ripping a sheet of paper. A voice Amanda never hoped to hear again. A voice belonging to a person Amanda never hoped to see again. Slowly, she turned around, and came face to face with Jenna Warden. After a few seconds of complete and total shock, Amanda managed to say,
"What do you want, Jenna? I have noting to say to you. Nothing"
"SILENCE! I DO THE TALKING! NOT YOU! AND I KNOW WHAT YOU'VE DONE! IF YOU TELL ANYONE ABOUT HOW I TRAPPED THE FOOL RAYMOND IN THE BASEMENT, I'LL BE IMPRISONED FOR LIFE!
Amanda was angry now. So angry she was shouting as well. "RAYMOND IS NOT A FOOL! HE'S MY HUSBAND AND I LOVE HIM! AND IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE IMPRISONED, YOU DESERVE IT! YOU'RE AN INSANE, TWISTED LADY, AND I HAVE NOTING TO SAY TO YOU ANYMORE!" With that, she snatched up the bag of cherry blossoms, shoved past Jenna, and ran for a long time, until she reached the Simhenges. She sat down in the center, and began meditating, trying to clear her head of all thoughts, and get her heartbeat back to normal. Finally, she managed to Zeneport back home. Raymond and Heather were sitting at the table eating cookies.
"Are you all right, hon?" Raymond asked, "You look a little pale."
"I ran into Jenna Warden." Amanda responded tensely.
"Oh, yeah, I was going to warn you about that." Heather replied. She handed Amanda last months newspaper, yellowed with age, and turned to a long article on the importance of whicker in your backyard. "Read every tenth word." Heather said.
"The... newest... member... of... the... Sunset... Valley... Criminal... Force... is... Jenna... Warden. Heather, how'd you figure this out?"
"I was bored." Heather responded, "And I knew it wasn't a coincidence that both 'Jenna' and 'Warden' were in the same paragraph."
Amanda sighed, and took a chocolate cookie from the plate. She hoped she would never see Jenna Warden, her new enemy, ever again.
----
Chapter Notes:
* In the game, Amanda and Jennas shouting match lasted a couple hours. I cut it down, because I didn't know what else they could say.
* Heather isn't hiding anything. That really is how she found out. From the way I wrote it, it kinda sounds like there's something she's not telling Amanda. :-\
* The next chapter will introduce a new character! Not tellin' who! ;)
* By the way, the Pun in Jennas name is that she trapped someone in a basements, and her last name is Warden. Yeah, it's a bad pun. :P
* And the Spore reference in the last chapter is that Amanda said "but how in Spodes name do you know that?" Spode is the god religious empires believe in.
* Tell me what you think of this chapter! Pwease? :3

Hi,
I don't think I'll be able to post a new chapter today. I'm sick, and want to spend most of my time resting today. Sorry. :(
