Due to the fact that I'm bored out of my skull right now, I'm going to write another chapter.
Chapter Twenty Two
When Rose awoke, she was still lying on the couch, but there was a blanket over her, and Marcus was nowhere to be seen. Standing up, she realized it was dark out.
"What time is it?" She mumbled sleepily, walking into the kitchen to check the stove clock. However, it only flashed 12:00 at her.
Well, that's no help. She though, annoyed. Finally she checked the clock on the wall above the dining room table. It read 1:35 a.m. Rose sighed, and felt a knot for in her throat as she recalled the events of the previous morning.
Why did she have to die? Then, she noticed Marcus standing outside talking with someone. Someone gray, sparkling and half transparent. Tori! It took Rose a few minutes to remember what The Grim Reaper had told her, that even the dead would walk the mortal world.
Feeling that it wasn't the best time to make her presence known, she hid behind a large rock, and strained to her what they were saying.
"Marcus, I love you, and I always will, but you have to stop brooding about the dead, and open your eyes to the living. There's someone very close to you who loves you, so open you eyes and see.
"Tori, you can't expect me to stop loving you! You're the only one I have and ever will loved!"
Tori shook her head. "Liar. There's always someone else in the world you can love. Always."
"But-"
"Give someone else a chance. I'll always love you, Marcus, no matter what, but I want you to be happy."
Marcus didn't say anything, just looked down at his feet. As the first rays of daylight pooled don on Sunset Valley, Tori's ghostly form became harder and harder to see. "Open your eyes, Marcus." She said quietly, and dropped a flower into his hands. "Follow your heart." And then she vanished, back into the Netherworld.
He looked down at his hands. Tori had given him a pink rose. He stared at it for a while, then turned to look at the rock she was hiding behind. "Alright, Rose, come on out!" Rose sighed, and walked over to face him.
"Yes?" She asked, pretending not to know what was coming.
"How much of our conversation did you hear?"
"...Most of it."
"I see." Marcus didn't say any more, just turned to gaze an the ocean, which could be seen from where they were standing. Rose decided to stay silent as well, and focused on repairing the remote control. Finally, he spoke to her. "Why do you think she gave me this flower?"
"Geez, you're dense. She' saying-" Rose looked down at her feet, and swallowed nervously. "She's saying I love you. And she's right." She felt sad, though. She loved him with all of her heart, but she knew he still loved Tori. Then, to her surprise, he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close.
"I love you too. I didn't realize it at first, not until Tori told me to open my eyes to those close to me."
Happy tears welled up in Rose's eyes she didn't think her heart was big enough to contain all the happiness she felt right now. Withough a word, she kissed him gently on the lips, and he returned her kiss with all his heart.
I love you... Meanwhile, up in Crystal Springs, Heather and Zachary were having a picnic lunch. Heather, however, noticed that Zach was acting strange. After about half an hour of putting up with his odd behavior, Heather had had enough.
"Ok, what's
with you today?!" She asked, spooning some cold spaghetti out of the plastic container onto her plate. "You're not breaking up with me, are you?"
"What?! No!"
"Just checking. So why are you so nervous and jumpy?"
"Well, um..." Zachary stammered. "I want to ask you something..." He pulled something out of his jacket pocket.
"Uh... so ask me. You don't need o get so nervous about that."
"Ok... Heather, will you marry me?" He asked, opening the box to reveal a shining gold ring with a beautiful purple amethyst on it.
Heather felt her eyes fill with tears. She had never imagined that what Zach had wanted to ask her was this, but she wanted to marry him with all her heart. She loved him. "Yes!" She squealed, unable to contain her happiness and excitement. "Yes yes yes! I will marry you, Zach, I love you!"
Zachary slid the ring onto her finger, and hugged her. "I love you too, Heather."
Time skip... Heather teleported home later, her heart lighter than a bird. She was engaged. The love of her life had asked her to marry him! The rest of her family was playing music, and Violet was dancing along. She stopped, when she saw Heather and ran over to greet her.
"Hey, Heather! How was you date?"
"It was... It was
amazing! Zachary proposed to me!"
Violet squealed. "No way! That's AWESOME!" She turned to her family. "HEY, EVERYONE! Heather's getting married!"
The music stopped instantly, and everyone rushed over to congratulate her.
"I can't believe it, honey!" Amanda cried. "When are you getting married?"
"Next sunday at Crystal Springs. Can you help me pick out a dress?"
"Of course! We all will! Oh, honey, I can't believe you're engaged!"
"Heather smiled. "Me neither, but it's true!"
Later that day, Rose arrived at home with her won good news, and was congratulated by her family as well. Long after everyone else had gone to bed, Heather and Rose stayed up late, talking about their boyfriends and the upcoming wedding. They were the happiest girls alive that night.

Chapter Notes:
* This is a pretty terrible chapter, because of all the mush.
* Getting Rose and Marcus together was a real pain in the neck. He didn't accept any of her romantic advances, so eventually I just bought her the Master of Seduction LTR.
* In my game, it was Heather who proposed to Zach, since he wasn't in the active household.
* Violet really was the first person Heather announced her engagement to.
* Sorry this one's so short...
* Due to the fact that I'm still bored, I'm gonna post another chapter after this one! ^^
* Tell me what you think of this chapter! Pwease? :3
