Chapter Sixteen "Okay, I'm sure you've all noticed the new teleportation pad." Amanda told her daughters. The day after Heather had gotten back, Amanda had called a family meeting. "And I'm sure you're all anxious to use it, but I have to lay down some ground rules. First of all, you can only use it if you are a young adult or older. I don't want you guys getting hurt out there. Got it?"
"What?!" Rose jumped up, outraged. "You mean the rest of us can't get out of the basement? You mean things will proceed exactly as before? What's the point of that?"
Amanda sighed. "Rose, I don't want you, or any of you sisters to get hurt out there. It's for your own good."
"Fine..." Rose groaned sulkily. Daisy, Lily and Violet all nodded, but still looked upset.
"Well, now that that's done, have you guys though about what you want for you birthdays?"
"Definitely!" Daisy jumped up from her seat on the floor. "I want a chess set!"
"Why am I not surprised?" Raymond commented with a grin.
"I want some books!" Lily called. She'd loved books and reading ever since she'd gotten a hold of Jimmy Sprocket and the Squishy Stone, a book that had once belonged to Heather.
"That sounds fine." Amanda replied. "I'll go shopping later today, and get a cake as well."
Time skip... Heather was sitting on her bed, reading a composition book that Amanda had gotten her. Daisy, Lily and Violet were playing at the blocks table, and Rose was once again banging on her drum set.
"Violet, get away from there!" Daisy's alarmed cry jolted Heather out of her concentration, and she looked up to see Violet toddling over to the teleporter pad. Startled by Daisy's warning, she looked over her shoulder at her sister, but tripped on the edge of the teleporter. She tripped, and her hand slammed down on the control panel. In a flash of orange light, she was gone.
For a few second, they all just sat there, unable to move, in a shocked silence. Then, Heather got up, and bolted over to the teleporter pad.
"That pea brain! She
knows she's not supposed to to near this!" Heather cried, as she climbed onto the teleporter. She picked up the remote control, and tapped the same location Violet's hand had landed on. In a few seconds, she, too disappeared.
Heather found herself at Crystal Springs, a fishing pond out in the middle of nowhere. She looked around or her sister, and saw her being picked up by a strange young man.
"Hey!" Heather ran over to him, and grabbed Violet out of his hands. "That's my sister, leave her alone!"
"Okay, okay, I was just going to see if her family was around here. I'm Zacharay Alvins. What's your name?"
"Heather Churchill."
"Ah, I see. Well, nice to meet you. I'll see you around."
"Sure. Bye!" Heather walked away, and ten hid behind a large tree. She took the remote control out of her pocket, and pressed "Return Home" on it. A few seconds later, she was back in the underground basement.
"You got her!" Daisy looked up from her complicated block tower. "Is she okay?"
"She's fine." Heather replied, stepping off the teleporter, and blinking a few times to get used to the new lighting.
"That's good. I was afraid you two wouldn't be back in time for our birthday party." She said, gesturing to the two birthday cakes on the kitchen counter.
"In a few minutes. I've gotta give Violet a taking-to." She put her sister down, and looked her straight in the eye. "Violet, I do not want you going anywhere
near that teleporter pad, got it? It's very dangerous for you to be out there alone." Violet nodded sulkily.
Time skip... again... "Do I
have to wear these?" Daisy complained, pulling at her shirt. "I don't like them."
"C'mon, Daisy. These clothes are awesome! How can you not like them?" Lily told her sister.
"Speak for yourself. I look like a candy cane!" Daisy grumbled.
"Geez, stop being so grumpy all the time!" Lily scolded her sister. "Let's go open presents!"
They both bounded over to their presents, which were in the corner. Lily grabbed hers, and shredded the wrapping paper.
"Woo! Books!" She read the titles out loud. "Where's Bella, The Adventures of Raymundo, Theoretical Physics for Your Hyperactive Child, Taking Your Lemonade Stand Global, and Passing Your Driving Test Using Your iPod. Thanks you, Mom and Dad!" She grinned up at them.
Meanwhile, Daisy pulled the blanked off her present. "A chess set! Thank you!"
"My pleasure, sweeties." Amanda told her daughters. "I'm glad you like them."
"Yup, I love them!" Lily cried happily. "Thank you!"

Chapter Notes:
* Sorry this chapter's so short...
* Oh, yeah, and Zachary's gonna play a big part in this story. You'll see in due time.
* Despite my affection for Daisy and Lily's adorable sweetness, I didn't like them when they were toddlers. When I was playing the Churchills yeasterday night, I said to my brother, "Alright, I'm just gonna age these monsters up right now." I kid you not.
* Daisy saying "I look like a candy cane!" probably won't make much sense until I post pictures of them. ^^''
* I'll also post pictures of Heather as an adult, since I think she looks pretty.
* Recently, I've been making a
ton of spelling and grammar errors that Spell Check doesn't pick up. Please, PLEASE tell me if you see any so I can correct them.
* Oh, and does anyone recognize some of the titles for the books Lily got?
* Tell me what you think of this chapter!~ Pwease? :3
