Hex Codes for Favorite Colors

Pure black is actually 000000, although I find it can be too dark if not accented with white or some other colour. Pure red is FF0000, but that can be too bright.

True, it is.  But Sims 3 doesn't use pure black for it's favorite color.  They call it black, but it's a tiny bit lighter.  Same with the red.  It may not be a true red, but it's Sims 3 favorite color red.

Thank you Pam for all the hex codes, I use them quite a lot when playing.
I've found this website that calculates complementary, triad etc. colors along with saturation and lightness variations. It is very usefull when you want to tone up/down some colors as accents or just trying to find the exact complementary color to suit well your room

This post has been a lot of help. The sites you linked I now use to compare different color schemes in Adobe Kuler.
I also haven't gotten the favorite color mood boost but just being able to figure out the codes and use them properly for my sims makes me happy as is. Thanks again for the list.

I have a sim who's favorite color is spice berry, so I tested out the hex code I put her in a room without any objects in it, I made the free walls and floors the exact hex code and she got the well decorated moodlet. It does work.

This is a wonderful resource, thank you so much! I've never done experiments to see if being in a room of their favorite color has any effect on my Sims, but if I remember to test that out next time I play, I shall. I just really like having the exact hex codes for their favorite colors because it was frustrating to try to guess and end up not-quite-right.

I'm glad this information is useful.  I've tested using favorite colors in furnishings and it's never given me any kind of boost.  I think that was just a rumor from soon after Sims 3 was released.

I took a quick peek at the code, it looks like the colors are used in Online Dating and in those thought balloons when speaking.
