Register Game problem

I downloaded my sims 3 game and SN expansion pack off origin and it gives me the product code but when I type it in to register my game it won't work. Is it the right code?

What site did you go to for registering your game?  Exactly what happens when it won't accept the code?  What message do you get?

I go to The Sims 3 site to register it on my profile on the website. It says that its an invalid code.

Under your name, there should be a panel with an icon ( symbol) for each game that you have registered.

No at the bottom it says "Register a Game zachlot7 has not registered any games."

The only thing I could suggest is that you contact Origin and ask them about it. Is it a long (20 characters) code that you are using?

Yes exactly 20 characters. On origin it says "Product Code for Sims 3: (20 character code here)"

I also suggest contacting EA/Origin customer service.  I had a problem back in 2009 when I tried to register the base game and they ended up giving me a new code to register my game.
