I have The Sims 3 Pets for PS3.  Even though I have burgular alarms I can't help but scared when it says "A burgular is on your lot".  One time, I had alarms and somehow the burgular still managed to get in my house.  I figured out fences can't obstruct the view of the alarm so I move them so fences aren't in its way.  Also, when you use karmas and it turns into a bad karma and you get solar flare or firestorm I watch in sort of panic mode as to what will catch on fire.  I try to pick pets that are brave, because if I don't and a fire starts they runaway.  That also scares me when you look everywhere for them and can't find them anywhere.  One time, I had a pet die, I guess from hunger because I spent a few days trying to find them and never could.

I had forgotten about that, they are kinda creepy.  One of my sim kids for some reason would sometimes go to bed without my telling him too and when he did, he would come running down the stairs, monster!  He would go to another bedroom to sleep sometimes.  Weird kid, the only one who ever did that, I guess he has a stronger will to do his own thing than other sims,   :)

It used to really annoy me in the earlier stages of my Baby Bloomer. One kid was especially bad for doing it and this is when they only had one or two beds. He'd refuse to sleep in his bed so he'd have to wait two hours before he could to sleep. Sometimes he just collapsed on the floor with tiredness!

I get really freaked out when IFs transport themselves from indoors to outdoors. I had my volume turned all the way up the first time it happened and screamed. I think IFs creep me out in general. Their walk... The way they follow their sim around... It's very strange for me.

Agreed. They creep me out and so do the aliens.

This doesn't scare me, more like startles me, but the sudden screen pan when a sim has a birthday/realizes she's pregnant/catches fire/dies gets my heart racing.

That scares me as well but not in a 'AH!' kind of way, I'm paranoid about the game crashing so I always get worried and think it's sims playing up.

This is interesting to see what bothers one and doesn't others, and how many find a similar thing a bit offputting, freaky, scary, or other.
And the opposites.  I don't remember who is scared by the thunder storms; one of my favorite memories is of my siblings and me sitting on the porch (on a metal glider, with the porch surrounded with metal railing! didn't know better then) and watch the show of lightening and waiting for the crash of thunder.  We would have hot chocolate and it would be a party.
Maybe that is why mom did it that way, to make it a party so we wouldn't be scared.  Did that with my kids and they love lightening storms.  Now we know to stay away from metal objects, but I still can't resist watching the show.

I've never had where a sim looked at me, so I am waiting to see how I act with that.

You know that stay out past curfew music when the teens get caught? That's always startled me for some reason.

That's why I've downloaded the "no curfew" mod.

When I first got the PETS EP I hadn't figured out that pedestrians (and pets) are invulnerable to cross-traffic. I nearly gave myself whiplash from flinching every time I witnessed a car "running over" a pet. It has taken me months to train myself out of that reaction. Sometimes I still flinch anyway.

A) Lightning striking close to my house
B) An inventor being electrocuted
C) Someone repairing an appliance being electrocuted.

You know, with this list you'd think I'd be scared of fire, too, but I've just gotten used to it!

I second the last one. When my simself's son died of electrocution earlier, the initial shock made me jump!

This may be a little bit weird, But when toddlers watch TV. Sounds normal, huh? Not really. When toddlers watch TV their necks grow REAAAAALLY long and it's quite creepy. And also when I use a cheat to change my sim, If i change the age it looks funny. Like mine was a toddler and i turned it to a teenager, and my teenager was really short and creepy.
