Alien Babies for Surrounded by Family LTW?

My Male Sim just gave birth to an Alien baby after his second Alien Abduction! I'm really excited for this, but I was wondering, will the Alien Baby still count towards his wife's Lifetime Wish of Surrounded by Family? She is listed as the baby's step-mother in the family tree. There are 7 in the house right now, so they can have a 6th child if needed, but it's a pretty full house already!

Adopted children count so I don't see why alien babies wouldn't.   Only one way to find out.

There is a difference between alien children and adopted children, I think.  An adopted child shows the wife as mother, but the alien child shows the wife as step-mother.  This might be a key difference for the LTW.  Please do let us know how it turns our.  This will be good information to have.

Will do. I think I will have a sixth child once the others get a bit older, 4 toddlers and a nooboo is a tad hectic. I don't want to wait til all 5 are teens to have a 6th child though.

EDIT: I can report already that neither parent gets any time off work when an Alien Baby is born.

You may have already discovered this for yourself, but no, the alien baby does not count.  I just had a similar instance happen to me where the male had an alien baby early on too.  It must have to do with the "step-mom" part.
