Sims missing, World is messed up
« on: January 16, 2013, 06:07:48 PM »
The day before yesterday I was playing my normal Sims 3 game and after a while stoppped and exited out. I recently got the 1.47.6 update patch but did it manually. Today when I go to play my game. 1) some sims are missing from my neighborhood, and their names appear as World/Riverview/ sim name. 2) the community lots don't have the icons above them in edit town mode that distinguish them as what type of community lot it is e.g day spa or library it just says community lot. Also their names are messed up as well they appear as World/ Riverview/ Lot name or Lot address: address. And when my teen sim tried to go to prom the whole school building wasn't there! it was still a lot and the lot name said school but the building just wasn't there. Sorry for having so many questions. I don't know what to do please help.

Cassy,

First, this is not something I have experienced.  However, it sounds to me like your save game is currupted.  Have you tried loading the back-up?  If the back-up is also faulty, I would try starting a new game in your current town first.  If the new game does not have the problems you have in the current game, then your current game file is almost definately currupted.

See Fixing/Recovering Saved Game - Saved Game Not in Game Launcher or Corrupted in the stickies above.  Excellent information there on fixing currupted games.

If your new gaame has the same problem as your current game, I would first try a factory reset (see stickies above).
