Men having babies

Hi I was just confused about surrogacy in the game. How does it work between two men?

Only with a mod can males have babies, but you could do what I do. I have them WooHoo with female Sims to have kids. Then they could all bypass the whole unable to have kids thing. If you wanted everyone to be friends they could live together and raise the children together.

Could I kick her out after she had the baby? How would I go about doing that without one of the males thinking the other is cheating? Do the male sims and the female sim you are using for pregnancy have to be in love or?

You could kick her out, just do it privately, no jealousy worked when I did it so it was easier. You could have the male Sim WooHoo with a bunch of female Sims then just Edit Town the babies into the male Sim's house. Then maybe you could have him marry his partner. Just remember to ask all the female Sims to be friends. Having a romantic interest while married is considered cheating in the game.

You could always just adopt a child. I'd find that much easier.

I think there was a thread somewhere where someone said about using Edit in CAS to change the gender of one of the Sims to the opposite, have them have the baby and then switch them back. I'm not sure whether it works or not but I'll try and find the thread. Otherwise your only options would be adoption or a mod.

Edit: I found the thread.

My plan was to originally create my couple, and add a female friend, make them all friends and then move her into the bin until I'm ready to have a kid, then once she's reproduced move her back out until I'm ready to do it again. So all they have to be is friends? Once they, how do you ask her to have a baby without being romantically involved? And how do I make sure there is no jealousy?

Do you specifically not want to use the adoption method?

I don't think it's possible to woohoo or try for baby without being a romantic interest.  There are couple of Lifetime Rewards that might help, though:  No Jealousy for 10,000 points and Master of Seduction for 15,000 points.

Plus I thought there was some form of surrogacy. Or something like that

Did you look at the link in my post? That will give you genetics from both parents without a mod.

Edit: I found the thread.
