Agreed!  Wish we had aliens, and wish Simbots were more like Servos!

The only other supernatural lifeform I liked in Sims 2 was Vampires.  I had a bunch of them in a Legacy back in the day.  I liked how you could make your regular sims into Vampires, how they slept during the day in their coffins, etc.
I really liked vampires too! Turning them into vampires, having them sleep in coffins, and it looked really funny seeing the sims having their arm constantly in front of their face!!
The only other supernatural life form I ever delved into was... oh dear, I can't remember the name! But it was that green thing with leaves for hair and stuff, they were basically like flowers with only the needs for sun light, water and love (I found that so sweet!), which made them rather easy to play (and I really liked that). They were also excellent gardeners! And the toddlers made from their pollen were so cute!! Though I had Pets and University, I never had any Zombies or Werewolves, and I weren't really all that interested either.
Well, anyhow, to not stray off-topic...
My Simbot searches the galaxy with the telescope, and he earns quite a lot of money.
Some stars worth more than 8,000!
If it wasn't him (and my painter that earned more than 400,000 in his life) my sims wouldn't enjoy their lives in the luxury mansion I built for them!
Even though I wish SimBots would be more like Butlers or something (*cough* more like servants...*cough*), I'm still looking forward to having them in my game when I get Ambitions (no idea when that will be, I may be spending my money on other things instead), as they would be excellent money makers!! And unlike in Sims 2, where they had all the skills maxed from birth/creation (and things became so boring when that happened to sims in Sims 2), they only have skills in Handiness/Inventing this time, right? And there's still the skill challenges, not to mention the amount of money you can make collecting, painting, writing etc. in Sims 3, compared to Sims 2 (the money-making abilities were more limited then), and don't forget that as they are official part of the family, they can go out every Monday to collect from all the family investments, instead of having the sims do it!  :o ;D When a family has a lot of investments in buildings, that's a great way to have the SimBots waste time productively (because they *can* do that, right? I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't be able to).
And while I was a bit perturbed by the looks of the Sims 3 SimBots at first, I now think they look awesome! And I can't wait to give my favorite sim Arianna a personal sl-erhm, I mean new family member! ;D Not to mention all the other perks of Ambitions, dang, now I really want to have it, but I think I should at least wait until the next patch with all the bugs it's riddled with...

Plant Sims  ;) I liked them to, I like Elves (My fav Mythical Creatures) so no Suprises there!  :)

Anyway back on Topic -

In Sims 2 they looked a bit plasticy to be but now they look to metaly! lol, tipical me!  :D In Sims 2 I liked their charging and doing the chores when there were any but now they are just an extra mouth to feed, there only use is Handiness or Inventing for me.

Right! *slaps forehead* I knew it was something short and simple like that, that I really should have remembered! And though it's not an element I've ever brought into my sims-games, I like elves too! The creatures that have close ties to nature and such are really my favorites!
And once again re-bouncing back to topic; yeah, I know. :D I didn't realize how plastic the Servos looked until I compared them to the Sims3 SimBots; the SimBots are definitely my preference now!
What I don't like about the SimBots is that they have to be fed; if there's one thing I hate, it's the way I always have to feed my sims like small children (which they basically are), but that's only when I haven't given them the "Hardly Hungry" LTR yet, which I usually give to all the sims I play for convenience's sake. ;) But I really wish I could give it to my babies and toddlers without cheats, but that's pretty much impossible (as far as I know). :(
Well, hopefully I'll find the benefits of a SimBots outweighing the disadvantages when I get Ambitions and play them myself. :) Arianna could use a slave someone who can babysit (TWIN TODDLERS=NIGHTMARES!), garden (why did I give them such a big garden? It takes like, 5 sim hours to take care of it everyday!), clean (the potty is always full  :( and the maid refuses to empty it, and I always forget to make my sims empty it. Poor toddlers who have to pee in it...) and maybe cook (probably only for parties). And not to mention that they can break lots of space rocks for the family! ;D Just gotta have them max Martial Arts and break enough Oak Boards first... My poor sims are always too busy/tired/stressed/hungry/dirty etc, to break space rocks.
Yes, obviously my favorite sim family has some internal problems.  ::) Though I guess the creations reflect the creator...

Yeah, I found werewolves real fun. I liked how they howled and stuff.

I really didn't care about aliens. Like others say, to me it's just another mouth to feed. I hated having to buy groceries all the time since I had 8 sims in the house when I got the alien. They are really just normal sims, but have scary black eyes, scary chins, and green skin.

Anyways, about SimBots, I found Servo much better. Simbots are just another queue dropping sim.

I don't care if this goes a little off topic.. Because, I would have titled it differently if I'd known how interesting everyone's comments would be.
I did like Servo, but mine seemed tempermental, and seemed to trap my sims in S1. Now we have the trapping problem solved (better than ever, IMO) in TS3, we have *gasp* "A Simbot!" to interrupt queue, and so forth. I suppose it's just the challenges that the Sim Addict has to deal with. Take the thorns with the roses. That being said, a little update on my original post: I got rid of my first Simbot, she moved into her own little place. I know a little about them now, and I may investigate further in the future.
I'm more interested in exploring them since I read what other people do with them! Thanks, fellow simmers!  ;D

You can change the title, if you want.  Just modify your first post on the subject line.

I have to say I was really amused by the Sim bots one of my families purchased. One came with the childlike quality and spent a lot of time playing with the  toys in the house. She even played with a sprinkler and shorted herself out.The other one came with the snob quality and spent a lot of time admiring himself in the mirror. The female Sim bot found a huge rock that was valued at about 35,000.

Having read a lot of the posts I'd really like to see a supernatural EP for Sims 3. (I've never played with Sims 2. ) I'm just not a picket fence,2.5 kids, regular career Sim player. I like the unusual.

I think the thing I miss most about aliens: male pregnancy!  For some reason that whole thing just cracked me up!  They way they were abducted, and then the following pregnancy, and I think the frequency of the abductions in general was just right.  You felt comfortable enough letting anyone use the telescope for skill building, and then every once in a while, BAM, here comes the Mother Ship!  Obviously whoever came up with that whole thing really had a good sense of humor!

What I miss the most from TS2 are the cutscenes. Remember when the Sims got abducted, it would show the ship coming and they would just hold on the telescope uselessly? Or when sims got engaged or married? Even birthday parties! I wish TS3 had cutscenes =P

And yea, bring the paranormal expansion!

...Why did the title change? All except one of those aren't even in the game.

If you'll read back a few posts, Simstar, you'll see why the title changed.

A few posts back, someone suggested a supernatural EP--I love that idea! I also remembered that I didn't mention witches earlier. I did enjoy them a lot in TS2.

Apparently I've missed a lot by not knowing about Sims (as in Sims2) before. Since a friend said she wouldn't play Sims2 now after Sims3 I doubted if I should invest in it. So I'm hoping EA does come out with more odd stuff.

I admit I have uninstalled TS2, but I miss it, and am looking forward to the enrichments that will come with the expansion packs. I am glad that I've been a simmer from day 1 of it's release. It's been a thrill to see each new generations improvements.
