Until the game goes live, I never assume when they tell us three that it's true.  Maybe the Kraken is the third death but there has been no official screenshots of it that I can find so I can't confirm or deny it.  Does that make sense?

I think the third death they're referring to is the Mermaid-specific Death by Dehydration.

Dehydration (Mermaids)
Lack of Air
Getting Eaten (By Sharks AND Kraken)

EA hasn't confirmed the Dehydration Death yet, although SimGoodie is reporting it as the third death no others have said it is, including SimsVIP who have quoted the article on some parts but have not put that info in. It may be true and correct but for now it's not set in stone that those are the three.

I misread your original post, I ignored the "Friend of the Kraken LTR, didn't bother to know what it means.  Though hunting a squid Moby Dick would be a nice plot line for a story.

What do you specifically want to know?  There is a ton of information out there from the community days.  In 15 days we have a live broadcast and I suspect a blog to be coming out soonish all about the mermaids themselves.
